I am planning a game for a bridal shower that is like Price is Right with all house hold items. I am trying to come up with free or really cheap items, but items that someone would actually use in their house. BEFORE ANY GOES THERE, I have thought about the Durex, but I don't know the bride that well (she is marrying my cousin). shake head

Any suggestions?

Those of you that are buying toys now and storing them, are you taking the batteries out? We left the batteries in but I'm wondering if they will leak--I'm talking an 18 month storage on some of these. Just want opinions before we start reorganizing the toy boxes this weekend. If I have to take batteries out, I don't want to reorg twice!

Chocolate.....since you're a hair stylist maybe you can answer a semi target related question.....So I see all these deals with Pantene but my friend that is a stylist as well threatened me with bodily harm if i used pantene b/c she said it's super bad for your hair....what do you think???
OMG I just heard this the other night in T. I was getting Pantene, cause I love it and this young lady and her mom walked by and the mom was going to get Pantene. The young lady said "Don't you dare!! They said in class that Pantene is one of the worst shampoos ever..." That's all I could hear. I've heard that about another brand, can't remember right off, but never for Pantene.

Ok so send wishful thoughts....I lost my drivers license and my GC!!!!!! I think there was only $25 on it, but still!!!! I can't find them anywhere. Last I remember I had them in my pocket with my cc. I have been trying to teach myself to use the GC instead of the CC lately. I went to T and got a few things. Small run and used no q's so used cc. I really love my cc. Hard habit to break! Can't remember anything after that. My cc was put back the next day when I went to use it, but the license and GC were not there!! I have no idea what I did!

She might be the OP of this thread but all who have shared their deals (in this thread and all of the retired threads) is what makes this thread useful. I posted a q on this thread that has been viewed by 1500+ people and is discussed daily on this thread...do I feel the need to be a rep whore?
Quote from MommieMara :
Lol all I did was move the thread over thats not rep worthy Smilie Reps IMO are for people sharing deals and useful info so I'm not worried about it
Iagree with the emphasised part of your post completely. As for the rest of your jealousy, I am sorry I wasn't around the last few months to give you the stroking you feel you deserve. Dontknow For the record, MMara was NOT asking for reps, I was the one who was shocked that she had only just reached 500. Her reply was very humble ( I quoted it above in case you didn't see it) and when I was really active in the CVS threads, I used to post all the time asking people to please rep the original posters of deals ( to show their appreciation) AND creators of threads (who usually do SOME kind of maintenance behind the scenes on their own threads). It sounds like the rules have changed and I apologise for violating your sense of fairness.

P.S. I see my original post was removed even though it did have some ETQ info and general Target knowledge in it...sure hope that wasn't going to be helpful to someone. I didn't get any warnings for being a "RW", and it wasn't moved over here because it was considered off topic, so I guess somebody MA'ed it...

Quote from *whee* :
...but I probably got 5 or 6 reps for the other thread during the whole time it was going, and SDio probably got the same, except when people mentioned how few reps he'd gotten for starting the thread, and then you'd see the count jump by a lot in the course of a day.
And I think that is just plain wrong because you two (and MANY others - wave thuctrang) have done soooooo much hard work that we all have/continue to benefit from. Just my 2 cents. hug And Thanks Again!

Quote from *whee* :
And just FYI, people have been warned before for soliciting reps, whether it's for themselves or others.
I did not know the "for others'" part of that guideline...thanks for letting me know. nod
I was only trying to be appreciative.

I would remove the batteries to be safe. Some toys have such cheap batteries in to start. I've already had some beginner batteries leak in toys that weren't in storage, just not played with on an every day basis.

She is right... the other WM SCO took 4 movie Qs before beeping, this one took 2! Then my second trip (SHOULD NEVER GO BACK IN! Live and learn!!!) none of my Qs beeped. He just decided I had too many Qs for not enough items. 12 items, 10 Qs and he started voiding them off! I said to void the whole order and give me back my Qs!
Quote from megnsamsgrace :
I bought 5 CT wipes today (to give away) and used 4 coupons. The CT were $3.59 each and all 4 went through with no beeps Smilie
Quote from megnsamsgrace :
Let me just say, I have been using ETQs for a year now. Buying what the Q is for (for the most part)... well I never had an issue or felt weird (I pay cash or GC). Well 2 weeks ago an SD bud and I were checking out and an LOD came over, glanced at the screen and walked away. Did it to her and I both.

So I went in last week and used JUST MFQ. No probs. Went back again yesterday and used just a couple ETQs but ONLY for what the Q was for (hence, no toy Qs!). I am a bit paranoid but I have been in that store twice since and no one has said a word... the first time I went back, I LITERALLY FROZE in the car and couldnt get out (fear) so I called my SD bud and got up the guts and went in.
Thee who is NOT a cheat, cast the first coupon..Confused LMAO Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) EEK!
So what is the definition of being a cheater. I sometimes get lost in the self righteousness of SD. I just need to know for further reference. nod

i already clip a lot at once. separate the different pages, use a guillotine cutter, and save a LOT of time. sometimes i have to go slower with the ones that the bar codes/ expiration dates are really close together but for the most part i have saved soooo much time doing it this way.

used to take me 6 hours a week just to clip. now it takes me less than 2 to clip, organize and catalogue the same number of inserts.

that was awesome. i just did my own 'manly rebates!' last night. laugh out loud

he's right though, sometimes it is a pain because you have to find all the receipts and some want the bar codes, others want you to write down the upc's, etc. but mine are done for march. i thought i did rather well:

for cvs, i have a $1.86 oop - going for $2.99 rebate on the listerine s/r.
for walgreens, $11.35 oop - going for $17.77 rebate on various items including FAR items.
longs drugs, $1.12 oop - $2 rebate for 2 tubs of huggies wipes.
101 dalmations, $12.99 (had a $3 coupon and also got it when target had the $5 gc going wyb a pooh movie at the same time) + $.57 for 3 cat treats - for a $5 rebate.

we'll see how these come back. i always photocopy everything now as well as jot down the date i sent them. when i get the check i look up the photocopy and write the date the rebate actually came back. so that way i know if the company is okay to do rebates with in the future. Cool

I am guessing some people feel as if they are not liked if their pms are not answeredConfused * snip*
What I dont like is when someone pm's you and asks a question and when you respond not even a thank you? I just don't get it. Confused I am not talking reps, just good old fashioned manners - a thank you. Someone asked me recently about some expired toy coupons (I had never used them), I explained I could not help since I had not used them, and suggested looking for others who had posted and had used them with success - then nada - a thank you would have been polite.

I admit I am guilty of this on occasion. I get so many PMs no hi nothing just a line saying hey can you give me the spicey coupon or can you give me the $5/$25 if they ask a real question though I do answer it Smilie I have no issue with helping newbies I was one not long ago at all and it is darn confusing till you get the hang of it Smilie

Ok off topic I can't stop obbsessing over the pretty ironed Target bag. I sooo need to try that Smilie Make my own reusable shopping bags.

Also the pink ring is Very good buy it it comes with graphic picture instructions for the confused lol. Its free so give that bad boy a try Smilie
I want the ring, just to see what it is about! laugh out loud

And I personally think it's rude of someone to PM and just ask for a q. I guess I feel very lucky, most of the PMs I get are real questions, and even if I don't know, I try to answer them within a day.

Agreed...I bought like 3 packs of feel-n-learns when there was a sale...and yeah, gave little man a rash from being wet...so yeah..no thanks, and once im done with these easy ups, im totally going back to pullups, i MISS the velcro sides so much!

OH and dont forget to check the pkgs for more Qs, 2 of my last packs had $1.50 off any pampers in them!
Responding to this over here since its OT...

I totally agree, I can't stand the sides. My daughter is 4 and wears them to bed and if she wouldn't dry off good enough after her bath they would tear on the side when she put them on. Couldn't put them back together, and since I am too cheap to throw an unused diaper away, I duck taped them. LOL.

the pampers feel n learns are actually my favorite ones. they go on really easy, they have kind of a baby powder smell to them (before they're used of course Stick Out Tongue). i've been having difficulty getting my son potty trained for some time now, and the fact these things get cold when he pees in them has definitely been helping him to NOT want to potty in his pants.

i tried the huggies pullups, and i hate them for the same reason you guys love them. i despise the velcro sides because once they're undone the first time they don't stick well the second. i've also found that because of the velcro, the sides come apart much easier. the positive side for the huggies is they are sized larger than the pampers.

the pampers only ever occasionally rip on the sides during the night. i think the key to these is getting them in the right size. they do stretch some, but not a lot. so if you're getting a size that is too small, of course they are going to rip as you put them on your 'baby.' Smilie
