So, I've been testing out a theory for a few months now and I'm sure most of you have already figured this out, but there's a lot of new faces around here that might not know.

If you have a coupon for $x/2 or $x/3 or whatever, as long as you buy at least 2 or 3 or whatever and use 1 of the coupons on EACH, they will not beep at Target. I have tested this on countless coupons on all different items and it never fails. I usually divide the coupons in two and put half of them in the top of the pile and half of them in the middle/end of the pile. This does not hold true for TQ, just MFQ.

I was actually even able to use the $1/2 general mills cereal today like this. I bought ten boxes of cereal and used ten coupons. And the kicker is that half of my cereal was Kelloggs. NONE OF THE COUPONS BEEPED.

So as far as the Lean Cuisine coupon $1.50/3. As long as you buy three of them and use three coupons, they should not beep.
That would be my conclusion as well - not intentionally trying this but more just "doing it" and I've never had a problem - as long as you buy the minimum # needed to satisfy the Q once, you can use one Q for each item - confirmed. nod

It's when these SAD, SAD people have nothing better to do than to stalk me. It's when you feel the need to seek out faults in others (or perceived faults in this case) and expose them to a bunch of strangers to somehow make yourself feel better or look better to strangers on an internet message board? Yeah, didn't make sense to me either until I found out who my stalkers are.

Oh, so you ARE still stalking me. laugh out loud God, I really feel sorry for you all.

If anyones interested, next week I'll be selling the Durex on Ebay. I'll cut you a really good deal.

Durex on Ebay? Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeee!! For me, if I was a durex user, I would just buy them at the store. It would give me the willies to buy them from someone else. Just me though.

Talking about location. Oh geez. There is someone who's location is Addictsville, SD. Yeah, took me a few days to figure it out. I was sitting here thinking, South Dakota. LMAO LMAO

Before the kid was born, we counted 12 outfits, put them aside and exchanged the rest up for 6 mo, 12 mo and some older ones. Best thing we did. I just told a new mom to do the same thing, she said but the outfits are so cute, I said you're crazy, return them all right now!
You get so many clothes and I bet I didn't use half of them. I am still finding brand new clothes with the tags on them.

Oh poop. I just re-read and realized that this doesn't apply to the Target coupons. Oh well, I am stoked that I can use 3 $1.50 on 3 lean cuisines. How many can you print from each computer? Does anyone know? Luckily, I am a teacher and can hit up the computer lab!!

My closest WM (the same one that refused all my IPCs the other day) disabled the ability to use any coupons at the SCO. If you choose that you want to pay w/MQs, it automatically calls the cashier over. Mad
OH, That really sucks!! Sorry to hear that.

i found we got WAYY too many clothes - most of them were very small sizes and my son was only able to wear them once before outgrowing them. Frown
blankets, alright. we used a lot of receiving blankets though. wished we had received more of:

diapers/ wipes (we didn't get ANY as gifts! EEK! )
gift cards (to buy formula as needed, because formula needs and expiration dates can't be known ahead of time.)

i liked the idea of prepared meals, that is very thoughtful. hug

knowing what i do now about new motherhood, i find it a lot easier to find baby shower gifts that most other people do not give. it makes the gift that much more appreciated, and you know it will be used.
I agree on the prepared meals. That would've made my life sooo much easier, especially after the 2nd one, as mine are 21 mths apart.

Diapers...I think I got 1 pack at my shower so a diaper cake would've been awesome.

And GC's to get formula is great too, since as you all know, it is so expensive and can really wipe out a budget.

I have done this at Target, but have not tried it at any other stores. Have you?

Quote from WhiteElephant :
Yep, that happened to me today. I used over $50 in q's. I completely forgot about that one. It was ok, but it took time for the mgr. to come over.
You are lucky. Mine is a limit of 5 mq's at sco, no matter what the total value.

Waaay OT, but hey, this is chit chat, and I'm feelin' chit chatty!

For all you mommas out there, when you brought your new baby home, what did you wish you'd received as gifts, instead of certain other things? i.e. What did you find most useful, and most necessary? My cousin's wife is pregnant (yeah, lovely timing. For anyone wondering, she's due a month and a half before I was, and they're having a little girl. *sigh* Sadwalk), and so I'm finding myself trying to dream up things to give them that are practical and useful, instead of some of the regular baby crap that people give other people, without realizing that it serves no real purpose. It's a happy occasion for them, and it's not supposed to be a sad one for me, so I'm doing my best to try to make it as positive as I can, so I'm killing two birds with one stone here. Retail therapy, and being helpful.

I have some diapers and wipes already. Only one box of newborn 2's, and a box of 3's, but I plan on picking up more 3's for them, since as I understand it, that's the size that they stay at longest. What else? What'd you have to go out and buy, that nobody ever thought to give you?
*Absolutely food. Freeze lasagna, chili, etc.
*If they have a bassinet...pillow cases! They work beautifully for bassinet sheets, and are far less expensive. Easy to find at the clearance endcaps, and usually much better quality as well.
*I don't know the brand (I think Gerber), but there are fabric waterproof pads that are smaller (about 1'x2'). I loved these! Instead of changing all the bedding in the middle of the night I could just replace the waterproof pad.
*Carter's sleep sacks
*Bottled water if they have well water and are bottle feeding
*night light...especially if they're co sleeping or using the same room as the baby for a while
*Soft washclothes that are all one color or unique design..preferable different than the color they already have in the house. That way they can be just for the baby's use...burp cloth, bath, etc., and easily recognizable as the baby's and not for other use.
*extra changing table pad, cuz' I found myself washing one of them every day. LOL

And I do remember the first baby shower after our loss. I was actually the hostess, and had just delivered our little boy at 21 weeks gestation a month earlier. I was able to find myself happy for her at the shower (though I had several bad moments leading up to it), and I do love watching her little boy grow up.
It takes time. I am sorry!

Lovemychaos, No OOPs necessary. Actually, I added it to my sig because of your post. I visited the site after you posted it and it just brought a tear to my eye. The thought of some of these men and woman, away from home, in other countries and they receive little, if any, mail. It made me stop and think how lucky I am to have loved ones! So THANK YOU for pointing it out!! hug
