If you have a coupon for $x/2 or $x/3 or whatever, as long as you buy at least 2 or 3 or whatever and use 1 of the coupons on EACH, they will not beep at Target. I have tested this on countless coupons on all different items and it never fails. I usually divide the coupons in two and put half of them in the top of the pile and half of them in the middle/end of the pile. This does not hold true for TQ, just MFQ.
I was actually even able to use the $1/2 general mills cereal today like this. I bought ten boxes of cereal and used ten coupons. And the kicker is that half of my cereal was Kelloggs. NONE OF THE COUPONS BEEPED.
So as far as the Lean Cuisine coupon $1.50/3. As long as you buy three of them and use three coupons, they should not beep.
If anyones interested, next week I'll be selling the Durex on Ebay. I'll cut you a really good deal.
Oh, so you ARE still stalking me.

Talking about location. Oh geez. There is someone who's location is Addictsville, SD. Yeah, took me a few days to figure it out. I was sitting here thinking, South Dakota.

blankets, alright. we used a lot of receiving blankets though. wished we had received more of:
diapers/ wipes (we didn't get ANY as gifts!
gift cards (to buy formula as needed, because formula needs and expiration dates can't be known ahead of time.)
i liked the idea of prepared meals, that is very thoughtful.
knowing what i do now about new motherhood, i find it a lot easier to find baby shower gifts that most other people do not give. it makes the gift that much more appreciated, and you know it will be used.
Diapers...I think I got 1 pack at my shower so a diaper cake would've been awesome.
And GC's to get formula is great too, since as you all know, it is so expensive and can really wipe out a budget.

For all you mommas out there, when you brought your new baby home, what did you wish you'd received as gifts, instead of certain other things? i.e. What did you find most useful, and most necessary? My cousin's wife is pregnant (yeah, lovely timing. For anyone wondering, she's due a month and a half before I was, and they're having a little girl. *sigh*
I have some diapers and wipes already. Only one box of newborn 2's, and a box of 3's, but I plan on picking up more 3's for them, since as I understand it, that's the size that they stay at longest. What else? What'd you have to go out and buy, that nobody ever thought to give you?
*If they have a bassinet...pillow cases! They work beautifully for bassinet sheets, and are far less expensive. Easy to find at the clearance endcaps, and usually much better quality as well.
*I don't know the brand (I think Gerber), but there are fabric waterproof pads that are smaller (about 1'x2'). I loved these! Instead of changing all the bedding in the middle of the night I could just replace the waterproof pad.
*Carter's sleep sacks
*Bottled water if they have well water and are bottle feeding
*night light...especially if they're co sleeping or using the same room as the baby for a while
*Soft washclothes that are all one color or unique design..preferable different than the color they already have in the house. That way they can be just for the baby's use...burp cloth, bath, etc., and easily recognizable as the baby's and not for other use.
*extra changing table pad, cuz' I found myself washing one of them every day. LOL
And I do remember the first baby shower after our loss. I was actually the hostess, and had just delivered our little boy at 21 weeks gestation a month earlier. I was able to find myself happy for her at the shower (though I had several bad moments leading up to it), and I do love watching her little boy grow up.
It takes time. I am sorry!
Devilmomma...I just noticed your signature! So I reposted what you've been saying all along.

Lovemychaos, No OOPs necessary. Actually, I added it to my sig because of your post. I visited the site after you posted it and it just brought a tear to my eye. The thought of some of these men and woman, away from home, in other countries and they receive little, if any, mail. It made me stop and think how lucky I am to have loved ones! So THANK YOU for pointing it out!!
