Okay, I'll post this here so no one yells at me over on the deals thread:

I led my kids through the Target toy aisles for an hour today to scour for Easter finds. My kids picked out a couple of things each and I picked up the bubble buckets for the summer-all Easter 90% off. I get a few other things (not on sale, just needed items like sunscreen ,etc.) and we head to the registers. We put our things on the belt and the trouble starts. As soon as the "item not found" comes up, we're informed that we cannot buy these items as they are salvaged. We stand there for 15 minutes (me with two increasingly aggitated children) for the LOD or whoever to come up with this. They (three clueless employees) ask me where I found all these toys and I reply-on the shelves in the toy section (like I have this mysterious locker instore where I keep stashes of wonderful finds....the freakin' stuff was sitting there plain as day on the shelves!!!) They all shake their heads and say the items cannot be sold and here's a $3 *oops we're shitheads* coupon. Meanwhile my kids are breaking down because they are not allowed to buy the toys they picked out. The 3 clueless ones then have the nerve to ask if i still want to other stuff in my now voided order.....WTF? are you kidding me? I told them I would buy it at another store, one that didn't treat their customers this way and took my kids home. What a waste of time and gas.....this store is an hour round trip from my house.

please don't tell me how their hands are tied because the items should have been salvaged. I have ALWAYS been allowed to purchase things that ring up 0.00 without question and have never been treated like a moron like today. These items were in neat little stacks in the toy section, not hidden deals. It was their fault for not clearing salvage items well enough or even knowing their own season inventory well enough so that a customer knows more about their S.I. than they do.... I am pissed and over Target for now.....Mad
this just happened th other day to me on a hotwheels toy... they gave us last sale price .68c lol! thats what they should have done. sorry! :hugs:

That totally SUCKS!! Two crying kids, and they give you a lousy $3 coupon!!! The least they could've done was give you a few so the kids could go pick out another toy!

I had the worst run today, resulting of me calling Corp, AND writing an e-mail. To make a long story short, the LOD lady that was there tonight P'ed me off. I had DS with me and he was super cranky at the register. As soon as I started laying my stuff on the belt, she comes over with her little clipboard and is writing away-not sure what the hell she was doing, hmmm. So I am shitting my pants. Yesterday with the Pantene the girl at the register told me to pick my own GC's,. So today when I went after I put everything on the belt, I grabbed my GC's. LOD butts in and says- are those for the Pantene? We give those GC's to you. I roll my eyes and put them back. shake head

Then as the order is finished ringing up, (mind you, cashier had her light turned off)I give the cashier my Q's. ALL legit except for 3 toy ETQ's. LOD leans over and starts critizing all coupons, starting with the first one. EEK! She starts arguing with me and tells me that I can use ONE Q per item. (Pantene). I said "actually, it is ONE TQ, and ONE MQ per item. So she proceeds to pick the Q's up and tells me that the MQ is a TG! I say NO, it says MQ right on it! She then picks up the peelie and says- "and this is a MQ." I said "NO, that is a TQ. There is a logo right there." By this point I wanted to slap her. Mind you, DS is screaming.

She tells cashier to scan them. Then she picks up my ETQ's and says "and you can't use these either. These are from Christmas." I said, "I just printed them off this morning." Her reply was "well." and a shrug of the shoulders. I then said "excuse me, what is your name? She ignores me bc she's counting my Pantene coupons! Then she gets done counting all 27 of them and tells me! WTF! No apology., I finally am boiling. I look at her and say "you know, you're not very friendly. Everytime I come in here you are never happy, you treat your customers and you employees like crap, and you're just plan rude." She replies "Oh, well I have never seen you in here before." I said, well I frequent a couple times a week, and I see you all the time." (BTW, I have seen instances where she has been VERY rotten to her employees, and in front of customers.) She again shrugs her shoulders and walks away!

Ok, so I am rippin' pissed. WTF! I had a screaming toddler and she still has no sympathy and nit-picks everything! I called corp, and the lady rushed me off the phone, and basically got every detail as to why LOD refused/wouldn't scan Q's. Basically she was trying to make LOD right. EEK! Again rushing me off the phone. I was PO'ed. Didn't answer any of my questions, and rushed me off the phone.

I emailed guest services. With a bit more detail I am FUMING.

Done ranting. laugh out loud

Targets customer service sucks. nod

WTF is up with this creepy avatar? Is this an Aprils Fools joke? SO not funny. He's gross.

Oh that does suck. I would call back in the morning. And again and again and again until I got a decent person to talk to. By the time I was done with them, they would have my number blocked.

If it helps any, when items go "salvage" and ring up "item not found", they can pick up one of those price gun things and "re-add" it into the system at any price they want... I usually wait until I see the clearance crew walking around marking stuff down and ask them to do it for me - " I found this on the shelf and the price scanner says item not found - how much is it?"

Word of warning - not all T employees are smart enough to use this advanced technology, so pick your jedi carefully...

LMAO I have the same problem. I get so amped when I get there that I don't pay attention to where I park the car. I just want it in a space, any space, so I can get in and get out again. Then I leave and I have to scan the lot for a minute while trying to remember what I saw in the way in. I'd say 9/10 times I hit the right aisle, but there's always that 10th time when I start wandering Whee.

I park in the same aisle every time, I have one for each store. Even if it's far back, that way I never forget what aisle I'm in.

PS-for the item not found, as long as I know the price, I've talked the cashier into it several times over the past few months. Most of it are items I've stalked so I absolutely know it. Did it last night with bubbles and a lego person

$5 for Black and Decker electric scissors at Lowe's.

Check out this thread. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=10796589&postcount=1

I have a pair and LOVE them so I ordered 4 more. I use them to cut Q's...saves ALOT of time. As someone else posted on this thread they're not so great for cutting plastic or thicker things but they are AWESOME for cutting Q's and that's what matters, right? LMAO

Apparently that price is local - when I entered my zip code, it came up as 10.98 or something. Little much for scissors. Smilie Bummer.

Is it just me, or has "our" thread been overtaken? By newbies who just want the deal handed to them, and by know-it-alls who answer every question as though they are the authority because they have 10,000 posts?!? Sorry, just had to vent - that was bothering me. Smilie

I agree. I think if everyone keeps telling them to read, it may die a little. I certainly didn't have any deals handed to me initially, I read pages and pages before figuring out there were etq's!

I actually bought mine when they were $17 Faint and I LOVE them so much I just bought more with this current deal. They were REALLY worth it for me to cut multiple Q's and such. Saves SO much time! Sorry yours weren't priced lower....Sadwalk

yeah, my thoughts exactly, I was fuming. If I had anyone with me to help with the kids, I would have been able to leave those reds in tears and would have walked out with both the toys and more than 1 lousy $3 coupon....

They usually do this-I think I ended up with a crew that would probably end up buying the stuff later....they were sure admiring our finds Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) This isn't the store I normally shop at, but I know which of the clearance team members to ask for help at my store. These people just couldn't get over the fact that the salvage team had left so much around the store....they just kept asking me like the heavens had opened up right there in the toy aisle and dumped all this stuff into our cart Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

ahhhhh the Jedi......I actually pulled into the checkout area slowly and noted the glaring lack of jedi cashiers at this store laugh out loud

Oh, I knew these prices and did the math for them right at the register (before they all flipped out and voided the order). Maybe I befuzzled them with all that higher math...we all know how hard it is to remember a price and then calculate 90% off...Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) LMAO I have just talked the cashier into the price every time over the past several years-always the correct price, I never make up a price laugh out loud I just have one of those weird minds that remembers to the cent the price of everything I see...
