Totally OT.. has anyone been to Disney in September? We have gone in June, October and December... it was hot in October but they are offering free dining and thinking of going 9/20 for 8 nights... for a family of 6, thats a LOT of $ saved
I think I may have mentioned it but I would not go again in Sept. We went at the end of Sept this past year and it was still in the 90's every day (not counting the heat index) and humid as hell. I have also been there late may/early june and it was still hot but I think sept felt even hotter cause it was so humid. BTW it was very nice to meet you the other day and I'm sorry you got lost!! Hubby told me you called and was hoping you found the T you were looking for!

We went a few years ago in August. EEK! Boy, was that the biggest mistake EVER! You could throw a bucket of ice on me every seconds and still, nothing helped. To put a 1-year old in a stroller, made of vinyl, is torture. But hey, airfare was cheap, free Disney tickets (brother-in-law works for Disney), and cheap hotel (the time-share way). Still trying to justify that trip. laugh out loud

Wooo.... September is still too hot. It's always hot in Florida, LOL. Try going in January-February. It's SOMEWHAT cooler then but I wouldn't try for anything much after that. Like right now? You can smell summer, LOL.
Ew we went in January and it 85 and humid but you know what? It was still fun!

Is anyone else starting to see that the 'back 3 times' trick has stopped working for a lot of bricks coupons? I printed from a computer that had never had the coupon printer installed before and could only print 1 BOGO AMP (and also only 1 $2 HB Oats cpn from each of the different links out there).
I've noticed that a few times. Some coupons will only print one regardless of doing the "back" trick.

We've always gone the end of Oct. for the Halloween Party. It's been warm, but never horrible. I'm from WI and we don't get "warm" for very long. I'll take hot whenever I can get it. laugh out loud

When I came over the "bridge" mapquest had me take a left instead of a right. When your hubby said to turn around, it was staring me in the face! DUH!

Great run there.. even GSTL was helping with the Qs and didnt even look! The cashier actually took the gatorade Q and scanned it once for every gatorade I had (6) and then he scanned it again for every Pepsi Q I had (10!).. I didnt argue there!

It was nice to meet you too.. sorry it was so short!

Hi all,

This is not Target related, but I wanted to ask for your help in making up a gift for my son in law.

My son in law was diagnosed with myelod leukemia in Jan. and since they found it so late, his only chance was a bone marrow transplant. There's a long awful story behind trying to get a sibling to get tested due to the fact that all but my Son in law and one of his brothers are not of the JW religion. Short story, We just found out his brother is a match and he has just started all his scans and work ups and MRI etc.. He starts an aggressive bout of chemo for 6 days starting next Monday until next Sat. gets one day of rest then his transplant is the following Monday.

I'm trying to make up a "hosptial bag" for him to take... So far I have the following:

New housecoat
Slip on Sandals (won't wear slippers)
Razor
Shaving Gel
Hand Sanitizer (his greatest fear is getting an infection in the hosptial)
soap
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
New Jockey boxer shorts
no shampoo - he has already shaved his head since he knew he would lose it from the chemo
deodorant
bodywash
nail file - he's a fanatic about having his nails neat

I bought a frame from "kohls" that says "daddys girl" for my granddaughter to put a picture of them together in it, so he can have that beside his bed and one for her for beside her bed that says Daddy and Me..

Trying to find books that he likes to read.... he's into microbiology and all things science/research related.

He will hopefully borrow my laptop if the hospital has access to wireless internet so he can keep in touch with friends and family.. as no one will be allowed in his room for 3 weeks.. Maybe my daughter and my granddaughter...
He doesn't play computer games, so that's not an option.

They are one of the reasons I starting shopping at T. so I could help them with the costs of living while he has had to be off work since Jan. and recovery is at least 6 months if all goes will with the transplant.

So we are having a big family dinner next week, he wants all his favorite foods and desserts, going to eat like crazy before he feels like not eating...

So I'm going to let my granddaugther give this "bag" to him and want as much in it as I can think of to make his time as comfortable as possible.

And having all you pitch in and give me some more ideas or thoughts that I may have forgotten would be great.

Sorry for this being so long, but really would like any ideas you may all have...

He is a 31 yrs old if that helps with any ideas.

Thank you so much!!! Smilie Smilie

best of luck to him...

how about dixie cups... i saw you had tooth paste/brush... party ware q nod
baby wipes... if he doesnt want to get up to shower...or needs to wipe face off
lotion
bandanna or head covering, a soft pillow and case
or possibly sun screen... Confused

will he be in a hospital gown or will he need to do laundry... all laundry trial soaps?? ? or a laundry bag or hamper

i hope none of these suggestions were out of line... ive never been there so idk

edit: i read that he would be in isolation for 3 days... whoops... well if the hospital doesnt have wireless or internet... may be wireless internet from a cellular provider... but that is very costly

So I just realized that I can not find one of my $30 gift cards. I started doing a gift card in my transactions as someone here suggested to make my oop not look so low. I usually buy a $30 gift card and then part of my balance with a $30 gift card and the rest cash. I can't find it anywhere and I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way that Target could replace it. Dontknow I know that Starbucks gift cards can be replaced if lost of stolen as long as they are registered, so I was Pray that Target might be able to do a similar thing.

On the back of my Target gift card, it says ..."to report a lost, stolen or damaged card call 1.800.544.2943. We can replace the remaining value on a lost, stolen or damaged card with the original purchase receipt".
