also there are ranks, every move you make your rank gets higher from their help section

A: There are 6 ranks - Newbie, Gangster, Wiseguy, Mademan, Capo, Boss and Godfather. The higher rank - the harder it is to get it."
there are many ways to make money, basic and easy ones are
by theft, click on theft in the left menu enter the AP you want to spend on it
(this is the best way for making money until we found our family)
by protecting businesses (extortion), click on city map in the left menu, when you click on the blocks you will see list of businesses, you can take it under your control by clicking on it but every territory has its own family, they will try to kill you if you touch their extortions so do not do this until we found our own family, then we will start a war and claim our own territory
after making enough money we can start our own illegal businesses such as
Counterfeit press 200k
Chop shop 150k
Fence 150k
Casino 500k
Prizefight ring 100k

first time around i got killed pretty quick. second time i got hooked up with a family early on and it was just pretty senseless clicking after a week or two.
