I've seen first hand with myself and others how cannabis can actually improve patient's lives and help make different medical issues a lot easier to deal with. While it should be open recreationally and regulated/taxed like alcohol, at least having medical access is a good first step.
Two articles that have always stuck with me, don't know why. It's been a long time so no, I don't have the links.
One was a lady who was so anxious all of the time she couldn't ever leave her house. She put pot in a vaporizer once a week and she'd just sit in her living room and relax while that was going and she was able to start going out in public again and her anxiety went down enough she could start to live life again.
There was a little boy who had several seizures every few minutes...his family started giving him hemp oil (or something along those lines) and now he's down to 1 a month. Just from that, nothing else worked.
Those are just two stories, there are a zillion more. I truly think that it does have health benefits.

My friend uses it for treatment of chronic pain and it helps her a ton as well.
And yeah, there are definitely tons of other uses. The law in CA is sort of vague on exactly what, just saying that doctor needs to sign off on the recommendation to use.

Exactly! I've heard way too many personal stories about how it has helped people with pain, anxiety, etc for me to just think it's not beneficial. I wish it was legal. My mom is hardly able to even leave the house she's always in so much pain, I wish she was free to try this and see if it helps when nothing else has so far.
Hopefully at least medical cannabis will be available in more and more states sooner than later!

And me too! From everything I've seen and read, I think it would have a lot less harmful side effects than some prescription drugs. She can't even sleep in a bed because she hurts so much, she has to sit sleeping up in a chair. If something like this could help her, at least some...dang it would change her whole life.
