So...I was just wondering if anyone else gets burned out sometimes?? I've barely shopped this week...did the p & g at walgreen's a couple of times....totally messed up the first one i did....still haven't figured out how. but i just haven't really shopped in almost two weeks. I Finally got my 10 bajillion q's somewhat organized...and my lovely dd woke up before us the other morning and decided to play in my coupons!! I was so freakin frusterated, but I can't get mad at her...she just wants to do everything i do!!!

For anyone I was sending q's to....sorry for not responding but I did get all of them mailed out except one that i was waiting on the address on...i have it now, will mail out tommorow. Thank you for all of your generous offer's of q's...but for now i just need to stick with using the ones i have!

I had a lovely experience with my dd today...we were leaving walgreen's and she decided she was going to run away from me so i reached out to grab her arm and she didn't stop trying to run so she ended up getting nursemaid elbow...she pretty much pulled her elbow out of socket and i had to take her to the er...i felt like such a horrible mom...the dr assured me this happens all the time with 1-3 years old.....EEK! EEK!

I'm just wondering how all of you lovely ladies balance everything?? Between work, home, and shopping....there never seems to be enough hours in the day and it seems as if something is always being neglected.

Sorry to hear about your daughter, I hope she feels better soon! As far as balancing things, between all the deals I can't balance things. I can't keep up with all the Target, Walgreen's, freebies, deal threads, surveys for money I am supposed to do, and still keep the house in order and stay sane. Plus I am always seeming to miss one great deal, because I am doing another. Then I get mad at myself. It seems when I find a new deal, I end up giving up other deals which amount to the same so I break even so to speak! I need a break almost from the deals, but now I am so addicted! I find myself getting more irritated with my DH because of the stress of my TMJ and all the deals. I need a week at a resort, but then first thing I would want to know is where is the nearest Target and wags! Big Grin

Given that I'm sitting here post-whoring on SD instead of engaging in more productive work while the kiddies sleep shows that I have no balance what so ever. EEK! laugh out loud

IMHO, as long as everyone's fed, clothed and (relatively) clean... everything else can easily be "neglected" to the next day (or the day after that... or the day after that... Evillaugh)

I agree and we deserve some social time! But as for me if I don't get to bed soon, I won't be able to wake up at 5:45 am to go to garage sales (It's already 1:45 am here), and I know DH wants to. He has had a hard time waking me up on Saturday mornings for the last month. So I better print the coupons I need for tomorrow as fast as I can and hope to be to bed by 2:30 am, then at least three hours of sleep! I have to get up so early, because I need 30 minutes to get ready, and it takes 25 minutes at least to get to the town we garage sale in. They start at 7:00 am, and lately my husband can't get me up till 6:15 am, so we are always late. And everyone knows if you want the good stuff you are there at 6:50 am!

I don't work, and I can't even keep up with all of this! It does get easier with time though, I am finding. And I am learning to pass on deals that is for something I won't use. Unless it's totally free/no tax and I can sell it for profit. I don't need stuff around the house that I don't use, I hate clutter!

But I've been a Target shopper for years, and getting more into the strategy of "making the coupon work for me" now. I do make sure I keep up on the Target thread, just so I don't miss anything. Walgreens has had some deals lately too, so of course, I've been there a lot. Since I can't count on using all my Qs at Target, I now am a regular at WMSCO.

My house should be cleaner with all the deals on cleaning products I have, but seems I never have time! It does smell good and my laundry room is exceptionally organized. I love doing laundry and looking at my stash of supplies in there...LOL!

He had to do it twice to get her elbow to pop back in place...5 minutes after she was the happiest kid in the world. She's a great kid....she's just very independent and spirited. She's horrible to take to the store!!! Dh cancelled his plans for tommorow and sunday so hopefully i can get some shopping and me time in lol.

Is anyone able to use the $2 CVS cover girl mq at wags this week? It won't scan at any of the stores I've used them at. Only been questioned once, but have always been hand keyed and end up going through. Just wondering if it's working for anyone?

I work 50+hours a week and have a 15 month old. I clean once a month at best. I work SD deals while he's sleeping during weekend afternoons, after put him to bed at night during week and whenever I can escape at lunchtime. The hard part is finding time to get on here and keep up on deals, I've been keeping my home computer on at work so I can scan frequently and make it easier. I still have 4 CVS runs left this week (it's Sat) and 2 target. It's going to be a long day. Sometimes I take the kid and DH, like I will tomorrow, but most of the time it's just easier without them, faster and cheaper.

We have a robot vacuum cleaner and that has saved us so much time. We also do the laundry as we see it, instead of on a specific day. And rarely do we eat complicated meals. I guess we just don't stress the small stuff, except DH leaving dishes everywhere, which is really gross

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter, but you're not a horrible mom! hug You were protecting your daughter, that's not a horrible mom! shake head

I got burned out and I don't do half the deals a lot of people on here do. I just can't keep up with them all. I haven't been to Target in two weeks! EEK! And no, there are never enough hours in the day and I don't think there ever will be. laugh out loud I work full time, I'm basically the mom and the dad, of two kiddos, DS (5), and DD (4). Both VERY active and constantly on the go. I can barely keep up with them, let alone all the housework, deals, and everything else I should be taking care of.

Like Smegalicious said, as long as everyone's fed, clothed, and relatively clean, I'm ok with it. Life is too short to worry if my house is spotless. It never will be. laugh out loud

That is soooo true! I have more cleaning supplies than I've ever had in my life, you'd think my house would show it! shake head shake head

This has been MY excuse for my not-so-clean house!!! laugh out loud

If they ever asked me to do a survey on all the cleaning products, they wouldn't need to send me anything. I think we have all the products already.

Can I put the blame on the products as being "non-effective" bc my house is not-cleaned? EEK! Can't fault SD!

I've used in 12 times and at least one of the 4pp scans perfectly. They just wave it around a few times.

hahaha. You know what else, I only do two stores, CVS and Target. I don't care if WAGS and Rite aid are giving stuff away at the door. I only track two. Occasional WM but only if going in that direction. Too hard to track more than two stores.

I'm so glad we have no CVS around here, because I'd sure be tempted to learn their system! I mainly do Target. But since I only have 2, and Qs are usually scrutinized, I spend a lot of time at WM. WM is right down the road, and a WAGS is right there too. So it's easy to stop in WAGS for the little deals when they pop up. I'm being lazy today, and I have to make a good Target run later. I should get going!

I just started SD'ing in January, and in the beginning I was so addicted and consumed that I neglected everything including my family, hence my siggy. I have slowly lost interest in the work it took to juggle family life plus coupon shopping. I was shopping at Target, CVS, Walgreens, Von's (safeway) and another local grocer. Just recently I decided all the savings wasn't so important to me anymore. Just yesterday I used up all of my ECB's (about $60 worth) so I wouldn't be tempted to go anymore. Now, all I do is Target and the grocery store, and guess what? My house has been really clean, my laundry has remained caught up and my family has my undevided attention.

To be honest, no savings is worth lost time with my family. Now, I'm not suggesting that you guys are neglecting your own families, I'm just an all or nothing kinda girl, so for me the "all" tends to be extreme and therefore leads to neglect.

With all that being said, why can't couponing be easy? It's so fun saving lots of money.
