Quote from doublesided :
I wouldn't do it unless it was months of communicating, a regular poster and someone knew where I was going to be just in case. You never know these days----you could get there and there's someone with a gun. Scene:

sunny day, meeting behind target parking lot in Washaoo, USA

You pull up in your Lexus
They pull up in the ford pickup

You get all excited
They are not smiling

You say hey, great to finally meet you
They say, I know who you are and where you live. Hand over all your coupons now or I'm going to turn in all these documents to AP

You hand the stuff over, cry in your car. They pull away. You go in to print more off the kiosk. The end. Wait, no, you have to rat them out to us.

OMG - I just laughed out loud! The guy sitting next to me says "If you are going to laugh that loud - you have to share." laugh out loud

I actually love to see pics of the people before hand. It is so fun to be able to know who you are conversing with on this board. I have seen pics of several of you. I love to see if the pic in my head matches reality - and I have to admit that I am usually totally off base, but thats what makes it fun! If I ever say I am entering a contest like that - PLEASE stop me! I would lose out terribly bad! I know they could send you any pic, but if you showed up and saw the same person as in the pic - I think it would take a little edge off. I totally agree - you never know. If you pull up in a Lexus I'm going to wonder why in the heck you are worried about saving money with coupons! Smilie

I love the last sentence! You know it would totally happen. The nice little slickdealer left to cry would be so addicted and need to tell us they would probably go to the nearest library or bookstore to get on the internet!

Trang - you better not be knocking the insurance profession......... I am totally in the same boat!

Great Trang. Now they're going to wonder what I do.

Well, it would come out eventually anyway.

I'm an auditor with the tax dept. And if any of you mess with me, I have your names/addys from coupon trades and I know you all deducted that Pantene you donated but never really bought.

JK. My job is boring, especially so today. Fridays are always dead. I have a 4:00 call then gonna wake the baby from his nap to play. While doing that, hubby is going to be making our donation list, we meet the lady tomorrow and we are not even slightest bit organized

Jen, you don't have to be a pushover to gently tell the cashier to take certain items off your order. Make it a sob story of how you thought you had enough $$, but it's now over what you had budgeted.

I agreed with doublesided - I rather have the items off my order than to do a return later. More hassle to deal with and I had to keep looking at those things in the meantime. Mad
ugh.....I think it would just be easier to talk dh into moving back to chicago lol. I lived there for most of my life, and let me tell you the level of customer service here is NOT the same. It amazes me how rude people are here. I had to do interviews for new employees the other day...the chick I was interviewing was all about how much customer service experience she had bla bla bla. I asked her what her least fav. thing about her last job was (clothing store). she told me dealing with rude people. I asked her how she would deal with that and she told me that first she would ask them to tone it down. Uh, ok interview over. Who the f talks to customers like that???

I have a question about the post its too...that was posted in the deal thread..is this how it works?

This is what I'm picturing...if post its are $3 a pack for clearance which i think they are roughly...

$12 for 4 packs
- $5 off $10
=$7
- $6 ($3 off x2 for 4 packs...1 per 2 packs?)
=$1

can you do that? with the 2 coupons? Dontknow

I was going to try it anyways tonight but I thought I'd ask the pros first.... :lookaround:

Just one of those days, would log off altogether if I didn't have a conference call at 4. As soon as that's done, I'm a kid for a few hours. Then off to Target in the rain.

The lexus comment reminded me of what my gas station coupon guy contact for extra inserts said two weeks ago. He looks at my car and says you have a nice car, you don't need coupons. And I say, it's a 4 yo SUV, not that nice. He says looks nice to me. And I tell him that I'm able to get extra stuff, each one of those papers is worth at least an extra couple of dollars in my pocket. He still doesn't get it and stops at insert 9. Is that enough? Well sure, I guess so.

Got my 40 .75 mccormicks. Just waiting on my 30 beans coupons. That's going to be a long grocery store run

If you're not in a high traffic area, you're better off looking for the clearance ones, there's a bunch that are 1.44 or 1.07 a pack. Use a $3/2 coupon on each pair and you're even. Otherwise, I'd try to use one or the other unless you know for sure you have a jedi. So if you buy 2 packs at 2.79 each, use the $5/10 coupon instead. They beep 99% of the time unless your item is over $3 or over $5

Well technically no - if the coupons were no beepers to start with, the 5th coupon would beep because you already used 4 MFQ on 4 items. The post-it coupons are 992s (I believe) and beep every time regardless, so I say go for it. The cashier will have to k1 them all anyways!

We should figure out who it is and if they're single. Then somehow hook them on to that dating site that thetakristens loser ex is on. Then they'll move to FL fast and Jen can move to IL. It's that simple. Well the other GM will want to move back once she realizes FL loser is a thief and loser but it will be too late as Jen will already have taken over
