Just one of those days, would log off altogether if I didn't have a conference call at 4. As soon as that's done, I'm a kid for a few hours. Then off to Target in the rain.

The lexus comment reminded me of what my gas station coupon guy contact for extra inserts said two weeks ago. He looks at my car and says you have a nice car, you don't need coupons. And I say, it's a 4 yo SUV, not that nice. He says looks nice to me. And I tell him that I'm able to get extra stuff, each one of those papers is worth at least an extra couple of dollars in my pocket. He still doesn't get it and stops at insert 9. Is that enough? Well sure, I guess so.

Got my 40 .75 mccormicks. Just waiting on my 30 beans coupons. That's going to be a long grocery store run
OMG that is alot of beans! EEK! I am so glad we don't live next door!

If you're not in a high traffic area, you're better off looking for the clearance ones, there's a bunch that are 1.44 or 1.07 a pack. Use a $3/2 coupon on each pair and you're even. Otherwise, I'd try to use one or the other unless you know for sure you have a jedi. So if you buy 2 packs at 2.79 each, use the $5/10 coupon instead. They beep 99% of the time unless your item is over $3 or over $5
Doh thank you..... lol! there should be a smiley with a sign that says noob

I have one jedi so far...hopefully he's working. if not at least i know what to do now! i'd always stare at the coups and be like wtf do i do now! laugh out loud

I don't eat them, hubby does. They're 1.25 for a small can at my grocery store. I have a $5 rebate from the pickles last week. And some of the mccormicks will give me overage. So if I balance correctly, I should have a bunch of free spices/beans.

We should figure out who it is and if they're single. Then somehow hook them on to that dating site that thetakristens loser ex is on. Then they'll move to FL fast and Jen can move to IL. It's that simple. Well the other GM will want to move back once she realizes FL loser is a thief and loser but it will be too late as Jen will already have taken over

Sounds like a plan to me! I am all in! Jen - where do you want to live in the Chicago area. We have to start looking into this for ya! hug
Please say NW Suburbs - I need to be able to do this close to me - Plus you need to live close so you can be one of my sd buds.

Well technically no - if the coupons were no beepers to start with, the 5th coupon would beep because you already used 4 MFQ on 4 items. The post-it coupons are 992s (I believe) and beep every time regardless, so I say go for it. The cashier will have to k1 them all anyways!
oh i was thinking it'd be 3 q's... the $5 and 2 of the $3... on 4 items.

but i see what you all are saying. and now that i know what the 992 is..i am going to read through that how to read a barcode in the wiki again...i get so confused so fast. but i'm catching on Ninja

lol you guys crack me up. They're building a new theatre in Joliet soon and there's gonna be all kinds of changes then. woot woot.

I'm trying to decide if I should try to drag the kiddo to Target or not. She's walking around the house going bye bye bye bye lol. She's got her little purse and is ready to go...nevermind the fact that she has no clothes on lol. (She just woke up from a nap and she likes to take her clothes off when she's supposed to be sleeping! lol)

Here is a brief tutorial for ya - of course there are exceptions.

If the second set of 5 numbers on the coupon start with 992 - the coupon will beep every time at Target.

Match up the first set of 5 numbers on the coupon and on the item. If they match and the price of the item is over the value of the coupon, it will most likely not beep. Try it!

I will probably jinx myself by saying this - but I don't think I have really ever had a bad run. My worst was getting back like 5 coupons out of ALOT (and those were ones that I would not have won the argument on). I'll teach ya Jen!

Wait Joliet, that's not that far from Pretzels. Get over there, what are you thinking--you need to run, she'll show you the ropes

Wow. For every 10 good runs, I'll have one bad one. Maybe that's not the right ratio. I've dumped my run 3x. Had easily another 5 where there were arguments and returns. And another handful where I kept some items but dumped most others. But all in all, I can't complain. I'm all set through the kid 3rd bday and christmas and have a stocked pantry. and more to come----

I have the same issue. What I usually do is run to the bathroom right before checking out, gives me a chance to scope the cashiers and take a few deep breaths and chill. Works for me, may not work for you. Unless I see a fab one with a short line, then all bets are off and I just try not to concentrate on how hard I have to pee.

But I have to say, now with my inventory, I get annoyed if I have a bad run due to the waste of time/gas but I know all in all I still came out ahead on an overall basis. Helps to put everything in perspective.

shake head I am working on at least 60+ coupons. I have given some away here and there but mostly stocking our pantry. Grilling season (well it is grilling season year round in SoCal!! Stick Out Tongue) and we have beans often...nearly every meal. Not always baked beans mind you, DH is Hispanic and loves his frijoles! LMAO

Going to the bathroom to chill is probably a good idea for me too. For some reason, I've never even thought to do that.
