My SO and I were sitting in his car in the parking lot..in our own world; sorting out our coupons...making sure we had them in order and searching for everything I needed, my list, cash, etc. We were there a while..looking, sorting, preparing, talking back and forth about cereal coupons, and which cereals we could buy this week...etc. . A women had parked next to us, shopped in the store, and had gotten back into her car as this was all going on. She poked her head out of her van and asked if we needed cash. She said she only had singles but we could have them if we were short. As she said this, she handed about 20 singles out her window, towards us. It's been a rough year and it shows a bit in my SO and I. Looking at us from the outside, we could see how someone could mistake us for homeless even. We haven't made it to the point of homeless or starving just yet and politely turned down the offer...explaining that we were just tryign to get the most for our money. We did thank her over and over for offering, and being so kind to check to make sure we were ok. The whole rest of the night we kept talking about how kind that was of her. She has no idea the impact she made. I'm sure most of us, if not all..have had times where you felt devastated, alone, and like the rough spots were never going to end. That women putting herself out there like that made the world feel a little less big and cold tonight, something that we might of very well have been starving for lately. Please send good thoughts to her and all the other good Samaritans out there.
I was sitting in a Target parking lot once in Vernon Hills, IL. Long story, but I was on my way to a soccer tournament and our hotel rooms had been changed because of a power outage and we were being put in a hotel that was about an hour away. I was on my cell phone for over two hours trying to figure out where we were going to stay. A lady came to her car next to mine and wanted to know if there was anything she could do to help. People do still care.
Still no Target yet...picked up the kidlet from school. Had a 4:00 appointment by her school and the beach so we hung out on the rocks above the sand people watching. We had fun just girl talk and lots and lots of observation. Mini Thrifty says the darndest things! She is 13 so I am glad that she is still very candid with me!

i always feel bloated the week before though, kinda like a prego feeling.
but for me by far the worst it the up and down emotions. dh has learned to not even try to reason with me at that time. he takes my mean comments in stride.
My DH's cell phone suddenly died and it's a battle to fight with the cell phone company about the warranty. His 1st phone had problems within the 1-yr warranty period, which they replaced. Then, the 2nd one died 5 months after that.
They said that the warranty is 1 yr total or 90 days for the 2nd one. Obviously, they gave us a faulty refurbished phone that was a piece of doodoo.
Anyone knows if this is a fightable cause? I hate to revert back to our 2 yr-old phone for the next 7 months, but is willing to fight if there is a good reason.

Who do you have? Please don't tell me Sprint. They will give you the run around! Whenever you call in, escalate it to a manager and if you are not happy with their response escalate it to their manager. Be firm.

If you are talking about the clippless with multiple offers and coupons on it. I usually have them scan mine on 4 or 5 runs before I've used all the coupons on it.
