my story continued from the deal thread......
My SO and I were sitting in his car in the parking lot..in our own world; sorting out our coupons...making sure we had them in order and searching for everything I needed, my list, cash, etc. We were there a while..looking, sorting, preparing, talking back and forth about cereal coupons, and which cereals we could buy this week...etc. . A women had parked next to us, shopped in the store, and had gotten back into her car as this was all going on. She poked her head out of her van and asked if we needed cash. She said she only had singles but we could have them if we were short. As she said this, she handed about 20 singles out her window, towards us. It's been a rough year and it shows a bit in my SO and I. Looking at us from the outside, we could see how someone could mistake us for homeless even. We haven't made it to the point of homeless or starving just yet and politely turned down the offer...explaining that we were just tryign to get the most for our money. We did thank her over and over for offering, and being so kind to check to make sure we were ok. The whole rest of the night we kept talking about how kind that was of her. She has no idea the impact she made. I'm sure most of us, if not all..have had times where you felt devastated, alone, and like the rough spots were never going to end. That women putting herself out there like that made the world feel a little less big and cold tonight, something that we might of very well have been starving for lately. Please send good thoughts to her and all the other good Samaritans out there. Smilie
It is nice to know there are still good people out there. Good luck to you too. You are right though, and many people go through struggles. Aren't you in WI someplace?
I was sitting in a Target parking lot once in Vernon Hills, IL. Long story, but I was on my way to a soccer tournament and our hotel rooms had been changed because of a power outage and we were being put in a hotel that was about an hour away. I was on my cell phone for over two hours trying to figure out where we were going to stay. A lady came to her car next to mine and wanted to know if there was anything she could do to help. People do still care.

Crapoli there is a pdf or jpg floating around here somewhere. It is an OM...and appears to be a scan so YMMV. MMHBG (my mileage has been good) LMAO I'll try to find the link for ya!

Still no Target yet...picked up the kidlet from school. Had a 4:00 appointment by her school and the beach so we hung out on the rocks above the sand people watching. We had fun just girl talk and lots and lots of observation. Mini Thrifty says the darndest things! She is 13 so I am glad that she is still very candid with me!

Watched alot of guys that can't surf trying to learn how....Surf WIPEOUT LMAO Another girl (obviously a gymnist) was doing handstands, spinning handstands, and aerials. A young couple was passing the football calf high in the 60 degree water Cold Lots of little kidlets playing in the sand. GREAT beach day!

Here's the OM coupon https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=90798&t=805931
Anyone else in the gloomy skies and rain want to smack her for her beach talk? Or hug her and tell her we are so envious??

Holy crap, that OM q is so clearly a scan, I can't believe you've had luck with it. My staples would laugh me out the door

Heck if they scan all my coupons (and they always do knock on wood) I have no problem losing a shoe on the way out. I know I can buy another pair with overage on the next run LMAO

I have known several couples who successfully met online and got married and lived happily ever after.

I met my best friend in the world in 1995, when both of us were noobie internet surfers. We had common interests and were participating on the same forum. And to this day, she is my best friend. Never met in person, but I know her and her family inside out. Everyone thinks that's weird.

i always feel bloated the week before though, kinda like a prego feeling.

but for me by far the worst it the up and down emotions. dh has learned to not even try to reason with me at that time. he takes my mean comments in stride.

Just this past week both times I've been I've seen a little shoe in the different ile's (is that right it looks strange) just one lonely little shoe, a sandle and a bootie. I've found if they reject a q or two it's usually a small $ one I could care less about.

RANTING:

My DH's cell phone suddenly died and it's a battle to fight with the cell phone company about the warranty. His 1st phone had problems within the 1-yr warranty period, which they replaced. Then, the 2nd one died 5 months after that.

They said that the warranty is 1 yr total or 90 days for the 2nd one. Obviously, they gave us a faulty refurbished phone that was a piece of doodoo.

Anyone knows if this is a fightable cause? I hate to revert back to our 2 yr-old phone for the next 7 months, but is willing to fight if there is a good reason.

Definitely, I would advise them that you are going to drop their plan and switch to another provider. You can port the # over which takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks. That might get their attention. If you are in a contract you have reason to break it as the equipment they have provided is faulty.

Who do you have? Please don't tell me Sprint. They will give you the run around! Whenever you call in, escalate it to a manager and if you are not happy with their response escalate it to their manager. Be firm.

Anybody notice the Durex Play lubes (purple box) are now 50% more (15 pack, instead of 10). I have too many already, but I couldn't resist putting two in my cart. Got shot down though, LOD came over and pointed to the picture "it's for that", I guess she didn't want to say "massager" or "vibrator"! laugh out loud

Any frequent posters to this or the T deals thread want Bath&Body Works Q - I have 1 'free signature collection item (up to $12) with any $15 purchase' bm or online through 6/1/08. Also a free .25oz Fekkai Glossing Sheer Shine Mist (tiny hair product) while supplies last, bm only through 5/31. Neither offer works at outlet stores, just the regular mall stores. SASE, pm me.

For each offer. So you can use it again for things you didn't buy in a previous transaction.
If you are talking about the clippless with multiple offers and coupons on it. I usually have them scan mine on 4 or 5 runs before I've used all the coupons on it.
