Helping out a friend's friend from france
He is only staying for 6 months exact dates due to an internship blocks from my house.
Do i have him sign a roommate agreement, a sublease, a rental agreement
I own/pay for the house. I'd rather not go thru a lawyer if I could just get a document we can fill out online since the 2 lawyers I contacted wanted $500+

So... he's from another country and you have no background info to check? I'd never rent to someone I couldn't sue for damages but you've already done it, so...
Thats that, if he doesnt leave change your locks and put his stuff on the porch.

Paranoia is not always unjustified, it can come from experience. I used to think that car accidents were no big deal, that people just filed insurance claims and they got paid out. I thought the phantom neck injury and huge lawsuits was stuff from tv shows. Until I got sued from a fender bender over a "back injury" by someone that had like 3 other lawsuits from car accidents and workplace accidents. This stuff really happens. There're shitty people out there.
