Just a heads up that CowBoom [cowboom.com] is no more and it will now be Best Buy Outlet.

pretty concerning.. Cowboom had some very nice deals, not sure if that will continue. Doesn't look like it will under the new banner.

If I knew the shutdown I would've snatched at least 2 items beforehand Frown. Whoever planned the (likely very lengthy) transition abruptly in the middle of the day with active deals? Maybe BB execs got pissed at CB bleeding cash and inventory every day with their irrational pricing. Smilie

Oh well my last Cowboom package will be delivered today.

I'll miss the auction part. I did indeed get some good deals there from time to time. Mostly on tablets, but the only way I could afford to equip a six person household full of electronics-hungry teens. That and the deal-of-the-day cycles sometimes were good. I've never been impressed with Best Buy's "Refurbished" or open-box offerings, and I certainly can't see them selling the used crap on their main site. This smells a bit like a group of MBAs decided this would work best for the business, and when it does not they will chalk it up to some other excuse. Like reasons....

Ummm, Wasn't CowBoom always owned by BB?

My only experiences with CB were negative, so this really doesn't affect me any.
