Just a heads up that CowBoom [cowboom.com] is no more and it will now be Best Buy Outlet.

Yep, lol some people are so funny. Convinced that their own opinion is the only one that matters despite the fact that this thread is overwhelmingly positive for cowboom. Probably surrounds himself with people that only agree with him too.
But then again he is complaining about the website he likely visits daily for great deals, making some money on the side.

So far not a single good deal posted to the best buy outlets. shocker...

When Dealtree stopped being on ebay I was upset. Then cowboom took over and it was fine. I think either they will go back to ebay or try store direct purchase which I hope is not true. It will be interesting to see because they cannot clear out that many items easily. Your thoughts???

I'll reserve judgement on the BBO conversion until it's done. This is truly a sad day. I'm writing this on one of their great deals...an i7/8G/256 SSD Yoga 2 Pro for $350 I got last summer. I hope that if BB screws this up badly enough the Cowboom/Dealtree guys bring it back, like Meh was resurrected from the ashes of Woot after Amazon devoured them.

Curious if anyone made Cowboom deals their bread and butter by reselling and now they're scrambling for options due to its demise...

I met someone that works at CB. The person said most of the people were let go from their department and that BB wanted to focus the remaining inventory on business to business transactions. I suppose there is a market for such transactions. The cost involved with selling to consumers made the margins too low and dealing with individual returns were costing them too much. At the end of the day, they just weren't making money. So there you go, capitalism at work. RIP Cowboom. There may be some naysayers, but I definitely had a positive experience buying from Cowboom.

some real dumbfarks at bestbuy corporate. they were selling items the manufacturer refused to give them credit back for. They were minimizing losses, not out to make money.

I've bought many items over the years at cowboom, but not as many the past year. Best Buy is going to lose a ton of my business. First they take away the ability to look at your local store inventory and now this. I'm shifting the kind of stuff I'm selling to antiques and vintage electronics.

That's me 😡 Years ago when they were selling at overstock auctions and no one had heard of them I was getting unbelievable deals left and right, I am a one man business and was clearing about 50K a year, cash, unloading it primarily through craigslist ... Lately I've just been doing it on the side and earning a good little bit with cowboom, but now need to find another vendor as good as them... There's a few other places I get things from so it's not a complete loss but will make it a lot tougher to get good deals now on a consistent basis

I don't know what to say. This site was a valuable tool for me. Whenever I need to buy electronics it would be the first site that I would visit. I bought so many things from them for my friends and family. Where else could you buy almost new products at 30-60% off? RIP cowboom.
