No! The Costco Visa card from Citi is discontinuing the Extended Warranty effective January 22, 2023. No warranty will be provided for purchases made on or after that date. Coverage for purchases made before that date will continue to be available, and you may continue to file for benefits in accordance with the current benefit terms.

There is a history behind why this benefit is going away. CITI should be coming with something different to replace this benefit. Personally, I have used this less than once a year and it was always so difficult to get the reimbursement/credit.

Very good question. Many don't know the benefits of the CITI card and shy away for applying thinking it's another store credit card. This one is a card with exceptional benefits and there are lots more than what is listed here.. My cash back alone averages about $300 per month.

I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

Edit (11/19/2019): I appreciate the dozens of responses I got in 2019, but this post is nearly four years old and was written when the card was just being released with bare amounts of information. I have since received all my answers, signed up for this card, and have signed up for 15+ other credit cards since.. haha. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this information. I like the 3% cash back on restaurants and 4% cash back on gas.
Is there another credit card without an annual fee that offers higher than 3% cash back on restaurants?
With this being managed by Citi, do others also think that we can generate virtual credit card numbers for this card?

With this being managed by Citi, I am assuming that we can generate virtual credit card numbers for this card. Let me know what you think about my assumption.

I don't think so, 3% is pretty high on restaurants, and 4% on gas. The cards with rotating categories will beat these for 1/4 of the year, for example Freedom offers 5% on gas right now until April 1, but I don't think there's a 4% yearly gas card for no fee.
Pretty good card, it looks like

Other thing to remember. Pl transfer all of your current credit limits to other amex card if not, the sinking amex card may carry it away..
