I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

Their 2% executive rewards is sent by check, never gift card. You used to be able to redeem it for cash at the membership/refund desk. Now, you have to use it at the checkout but whatever left over, the cashier will give you cash. So I recommend people to just buy bananas for 1.49 and pay with the rewards check whatever left you get it via cash.
The Citi Costco credit card rewards still can be redeem for cash at membership/refund desk and or any cashier when checking out.
Long ago, costco gift card AKA "shop card" used to be called "cash card" because the card holder/user can redeem it for cash back like a debit card at checkout. Now, you can not redeem it for cash hence the name change.
You can just cash out both checks. Citi and executive. It makes better sense to cash out and deposit into your bank and then pay off you Citi card so your getting the extra 2% back for that purchase vs using the reward to pay for the order even if it just bananas, might not be worth the time to wait in line.
I know I cash out both checks and keep the cash on hand at home for those moments I need cash only. Saves me a trip to the ATM.

Yeah, just spoke with my warehouse and they said they normally they cash both at membership desk but sometimes they don't have enough cash on hand because 300+ people gonna try to cash it all in one day. Sometimes will give you an actual check, so you can deposit into your bank account if you they don't have enough cash on hand.

That would be even better so you can just do mobile deposit.
Also found out after a 24 hour delayed airline that they got rid of their delay insurance.. just got bumped to my Costco only card
I'm trying to use their car rental insurance for a minor scratch rental company claims was from me (doubtful) this month and so far getting the runaround from them... Lets see how this goes, I've rented cars 25+ years and never had an issue and been with citi for 2 decades (currently Gold status) so I'm kind of ticked off they are not more efficient.
We have this card. We are switching to the citi 2% cash card for 2023.
It serves as your Costco card so no need to carry a separate Costco card. You get rewards in the form of Costco credit at the end of the year. If you use the credit and have extra credit you get paid from Costco in cash.
The 1% cash back on all other purchases just isn't good enough for the wife and to keep using the card as our main joint credit card.
when will they start accepting VISA? i know it says June 20th for the Costco Visa but will they accept other VISA cards before that? Im thinking of my chase freedom thatll have 5% back at warehouse stores starting in April

I get your point but when was the last time you walked out of the Costco store with just a bunch of bananas in your cart! 😃

Well if you have a shit ton of stuff you have to get, just tell them that the banana/apple or whatever the cheapest thing will be on a separate/second order.
With current high inflation this wait for an year to get 2% Cashback, instead of monthly, kind of diminishing. Other cards provide 2% Cashback monthly, so it can be used in a month

So that you can cash out the check instead of paying using the check. Let us say your check is $150. If you charge that much to your card, you generate $3 in credit card rewards. You pay with check, you generate zilch.
Completely painless $3. In my case, I am always using Altitude bank Visa with Apple Pay. That generates 4.5% when the points are used for travel - so that is $6.75 - all because I paid for the bananas separately.
