I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

Don't have to do any sign up to receive the Citi Costco card right? If you're currently holding an Amex Costco..
yea it's automatic. They send you new card in May and tell you to follow directions when you receive it. Can't use card until June 20th. On June 20th, any balance on your amex transfers over to the new card. Click on the link, that should answer any question you have.

Thank you for sharing this information. I like the 3% cash back on restaurants and 4% cash back on gas.

Is there another credit card without an annual fee that offers higher than 3% cash back on restaurants?

With this being managed by Citi, do others also think that we can generate virtual credit card numbers for this card?

Tofu Vic
Closest thing I can think of is Citi Forward which gives 5 points per $1 that can be redeemed for gift cards.

You can use any Visa to shop at Costco, right? I know right now it's still AMEX.
Correct. I've been waiting a LONG time to be able to use my Alaska Airlines VISA card, and I was not the happiest of people when they extended the switchover date from 4/1 to 6/20.

I don't think so, 3% is pretty high on restaurants, and 4% on gas. The cards with rotating categories will beat these for 1/4 of the year, for example Freedom offers 5% on gas right now until April 1, but I don't think there's a 4% yearly gas card for no fee.

Pretty good card, it looks like
Sallie Mae, Penfed, and I think there's another that gives 5% back on gas with no fee.

Wow, this is a much better card than the old AMEX version. I am seriously considering getting one once they open up new application.

I'm a Costco member but have zero interest or less in getting a Citibank Visa. Since I have other Visas can I decline / discontinue the Citibank Visa while still keeping my Costco membership?
Yes. All VISA cards will be accepted after the switchover on 6/20, and you can retain your Costco membership.

Citi Forward 5x is getting downgraded to only 2x on June 4 unfortunately.
