I'm sure it's been mentioned and buried but extended warranty benefit goes away next month which sucks
Uhh yeah I have an Amex, this is not true lol
I'm sure citi fought hard in the bidding process to beat Amex to get the Costco account. Part of the terms were probably to offer better benefits for the customer....

Anyone got the letters from Costco Visa with credit limit?
I've got three letters with one of them not saying anything about credit limit. This is the one I'm using and there is a limit on Amex. The other two cards I haven't used, no limit on Amex, now have credit limit. Not sure how do they set the credit limit on the new Visa.
i got a letter outlining the card overall, but no mention of limit.
also, it mentioned that fuel is 4% at stand-alone gas stations and costco, and 1% everywhere else, and it specifically called out "convenience stores" in the 1% category. i'm curious what that means, and how many "stand-alone gas stations" do not include a "convenience store."

I would guess standalone means not affiliated with say a grocery store or sam's club. Then they are saying purchases made in the convenience store portion of the gas station are not eligible for 4%.
Not 100% certain but that would be my interpretation.

that was also my first thought, but it calls out grocery stores in addition to convenience stores, also in the 1% category.
I feel like that more reaffirms the point rather than negates it..
i imagine it is correct that purchases inside a convenience store fall under the 1%, and i would hope the fuel purchases made at the same (non-grocery/warehouse) place would fall under the 4%. it was just odd to see them specifically mentioned as not being valid for 4% in the fuel section, if it was referring to non-fuel purchases.

Dear Cashing In,
Materials for the new Citi card say it offers "4 percent cash back on eligible gas worldwide, including gas at Costco." But when you read the fine print, you find out that most gas stations will actually give only 1 percent back! Very deceptive, I think. – Bill
Dear Bill,
...Citi confirmed to me that the Costco Anywhere Visa Card will give 4 percent at merchants classified as gas stations. In practice, most places where you pump gas are coded as gas stations, not as convenience stores – even if they are affiliated with a convenience store that offers the usual array of gum, lottery tickets, old-looking hot dogs and cold beer.
So rest easy. Your gas purchases probably qualify for the 4 percent cash back (and the purchases of hot dogs and cold beer at those places probably do, too).
Can't wait for this card to finally arrive. 4% CB at Costco gas will be sweet. I still have my Sallie Mae for 5% CB at all other gas stations and of course Chase Freedom 5% 1/4 of a year. 3% travel is really good for non-churners and IMO it's pretty on par in point-to-value ratio compared to most travel cards (excluding sign on bonuses, foreign transaction fee) depending on how you use your points/miles. If you're the type of traveler that can consistently get greater than 1.5 point-to-value on your specific travel card then it may not be that enticing. I think non-churning occasional travelers that travel on a budget will like this card. 3% CB on restaurants is also good especially as a Visa.
Anyone know if this card will cover car rental insurance like the current Costco Amex?
I got my card in the mail today, and was able to confirm receipt online, but can't use it until June 20th (as already mentioned in the OP and elsewhere).
Got my cards. Will miss the Amex offers. Amex won't budge and give a new card without a hard pull, which I am not willing to do right now. Hope to get a new Amex soon just for Amex offers.

I haven't pulled my credit report but I did accept the BC offer from AMEX. Instant approval and $12K credit limit, same as my outgoing Costco AMEX.

Check your experian report. It must have been definitely a hard pull. I think it has something to do with legal restriction. They have to do a hard pull before approving or denying a credit card.
