no, that's the right amount. Hmmm that was a quick update on their part. They're getting smarter
once my cashier noticed febreze bogo deducting a huge amount and she cancelled that and then did something so that the system asked her to enter the price manually......

I offered up some Natural Instinct B1G1 free coupons earlier in the week and said if someone had some HE coupons in exchange that would be great. Only one person PM'd me about it. I noticed that this person had never posted on the boards before and was a bit skeptical, but I had 20 of these coupons and wanted to see them go to good use. They said they would check and see how many HE coupons they had and send them off to me.

I gave this person my address and sent the coupons out the next morning. This person has not responded to any of my PMs since, although I see that they have logged on, and I did not receive any coupons in exchange. I could care less about getting the coupons I was promised in the trade. I would have just sent them to someone who was going to use them, for nothing in exchange. But, I am very weirded out that this person now has my address and I have no idea who they are!! I really should have listened to my gut that told me not to trade with someone who has never even posted. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!!!!

Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you all because it is bothering me. Wondering if you have any advice or insight, other than the fact that I shouldn't have given my information out to a stranger to begin with shake head

Hopefully it was just someone that wanted some free coupons.
Kind of a similar thing happened to me, but in my case, I had a pretty new poster contact me out of the blue. Literally! Offered me some great coupons for a deal at Safeway. I mulled it over for a few days, was very skeptical but for some reason, with the depth of info shared in the PM, I took a chance and sent her my address.

It was almost two weeks later & I hadn't heard anything, felt like a chump - a very nervous chump - when out of the blue came an envelope with some great coupons. Coupons that ended up saving me over $100. After I sent a PM thanking her, she apologized for it taking so long. Her daughter had graduated and she got busy with family, friends & the celebration before she sent everything to me.

I have to admit that even after that great experience, I think I'll hesitate a lot longer the next time.

The poor guy is trying to help but he is making me NUTS!!! I do think he is learning though...He did come home early to get Lowe's coupons for $10/$50 and used 3 of them in one order....I guess he's learning??? Rofl2

wave S-momma!!!

I have to say all of my trade experiences have been very good. Cool There were a few new posters, but I have enough coupons that I won't missed them. Maybe, put a limit on how much that you are comfortable "giving" away.

There's a saying, "What goes around, comes around..." That is also a great thing about trading and giving a few ROAKs. The returns come in twofolds or trifolds...

Personally, I will feel bad if I don't deliver as promised. I did misplaced 1 trading envelope for a couple weeks - it was in between my stacks of inserts. EEK! If the other person had asked me, I would have sworned that it was sent. laugh out loud

And I would have believed you!! The mail takes soo long sometimes, I would have been waiting for a month before I said anything laugh out loud hug

I had a similar thing happen to me with a trade, I did PM the person and she said that she sent the envie, so she had no clue what happened. I was ok with and just figured my mailman was dipping into my Q envies Wink Well then a week later I get an envie with the coupons. It was postmarked for the day that I had PM's the lady. No big deal though Smilie The envie was all ripped up too, looked like it had a rough trip laugh out loud

Um, yeah. Mine pretty much knows he is forbidden to shop w/o a list from me. LMAO

After having to explain for the bajillionth time the difference between things that are sold by the pound and things that are sold by the item (in produce, for instance), and that this can be very significant, Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) he now knows to STICK TO THE LIST! shake head

I'd honestly way rather give stuff away (good feelings and good karma) than try to trade a lot of the time. All that wrangling over terms and then waiting for the stuff to come and then feeling like you got "cheated" if it doesn't. . . bad for the soul.

Note: everyone I've traded w/on the T thread has been awesome though. hug

(Formulanerd's post in the deals thread...dunno how to quote from a dif. thread)

i'd just like to take the time to thank and rep Jen2882, she works in a movie theater, and who else would know better than her if indiana jones is good or not.

she said most ppl dont have anything to complain about coming out of the theater, so i guess its safe to say that its worth watching.

thanks again Jen2882.

Can I just say that this guy is an *sshole??? I sent him a pm after his first stupid post asking if the movie was good and i was like hey i don't know if you don't know better or if you are trying to get to people but that's off topic and people don't appreciate it...but yea i've heard the movie is good bla bla bla.

So then the dude goes and puts up that post??? WTF??? uh yea don't really think it's his place to announce to everyone what my job is (not that it's a huge secret, but it still annoys the crap out of me) and obviously he is doing it just to piss people off, or he's a moron, and thirdly he didn't even really freakin rep me! not that I care about reps....that's like bragging about how big your monoply money collection is...but don't be an *asshole and a liar all in the same post....

I'd keep an eye on the posts that go up in the HD section here that offer previews of all the electronics deals that will be in the upcoming T ad.

However-- and I've not kept up with this lately, as we've had our PS3 for a while now-- I think the PS3 is like the iPod, Wii and other big ticket, popular electronics-- usually the "deals" involve an add-on (like a game, extra controller, etc.) for free. There aren't "sales" per se unless the manufacturer decides to do a price drop.

I believe WM just ended a deal where they offered a $100 GC if you bought a PS3 (but that doesn't help you much, of course).

You might take a look at this thread: https://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?sduid=345332&t=833907
and others in the Gamer's Lounge section here, too.

If you've got the GC to pay for it, I'd just buy it at T no matter what-- getting a PS3 for free is, as they say, priceless. woot
Quote from doublesided :
GC deal next week, just your luck. Basically you'll pay full price for the PS3 and get 2 movies for free. Always watch the clearance PS3 games, I find them for under $20 for hubby all the time

wave wave I read about this deal somewhere, I just can't remember where, could have been here so sorry if ya'll have heard it already. I went to KM yesterday with 15 coupons for Pedigree Jumbone dog snacks $1.50 of ANY. They have a display of samples up for 20 cents each! made for 1.30 overage on each one. Bought some pepsi cubes to absorb the overage. The cashier was great, kept commenting on what a good deal I got using those q's. They had alot of samples so I gotta find more q's! Plus, there are three little 'bones' in each bag. I'm going to mark them .25 cents at my yard saleBig Grin

Wow, makes me wish we had a KM,but alas we don't and I was only in the one that closed once in the three years I lived near one.

My littles are passed out on the couch, tough dayLMAO

Dh only shops for groceries when I am sick or out of town, witch happens like once a year. But I have got him checking my entertainment book and other coupon books before he goes out to eat or shopping for house or yard supplies. He evens emails me stuff he wants and asks me to find the best deal, he knows not to just order anything.

I am bored...
