I love the step2 one but it's so expensive, that's why I was looking at the FP one. But we have the house which he LOVES but it's big. Hmmm--maybe I'll put that on the holiday list for grandma to get.

Stormy-you always have everything!!

Mine was a $10/$50, that's why I feel I have to use it
Ha if I knew how to post a picture, I would show you part of his room. My living room has toys in it too

I got Sophia (19 month old dd) the Laugh and Learn House off Craigslist for $20. It was in near perfect condition and the only thing wrong was it was missing the balls that come with it for the ball shoot thing on the side of the house. We gave it to her for her 1st Bday and she has loved it ever since. I am thinking of getting her a Kitchen next (she has one at the babysitters house and heart it), buy I will probably look on CL again for it. Around here they are listed often and at good prices. This might be a good option for you all if you have an active CL in your area Smilie

pahahaha, doublesided is going ot laught at me, but I also have the house! Ryan opens the door for you and if you try and crawl through he shuts it and laughs hystericaly.

I also got mine off Craigslist for 20 bucks. I bought my jumpreoo and 3 different exersaucers on Craigslist and when I was done sold them all on Craigs list for more than I paid

You need to come to my store - no one is buying but me. I bought 8 Venus gift sets yesterday and today, they restocked the whole shelf again. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Those gift sets take up all the room in my cart and it seems like I'm emptying the store. I only bought 10 today...

Stormy-both of those must take up your entire dept. And you want to buy more toys!!!

OK love that pik of the bistro grille, I'm going to look for that on craigslist.

Ugh I'm traveling for work again next week. Used to hate it just cause of missing the baby/hubby etc. Now I hate it as it's impossible to catch up on this thread when gone for 3 days Smilie

Ok, now that we are on the subject of Frustistas..........someone PLEASE tell me the correct taste to these......laugh out loud Seriously- here's the issue:

We have 2 local Taco Bells. The very first freeze I got tasted soooo good, just like a slurpee! I went to the other location the next time, and got the same freeze, but this one tasted like it was loaded with SELTZER! vomit Gross!
Next time I went back to where I got it the first time, tasted super again! I asked them what the deal was, he told me that maybe the other location accidently mixed the carbon with it because it came from the same machine. So I was like- okay.
NEXT trip I go back thinking, maybe they had something wrong with the machine that day.....I ask the guy FIRST if it is supposed to have seltzer in it, and he said Yes, it's supposed to be carbonated! HUH???? So IS it supposed to taste like a slurpee, or a carbonated slurpee??? Confused The carbonated seltzer crap seriously tasted like poison! laugh out loud
Actually, I just had one! I took my son & his friend to Taco Bell after their soccer game. We each got a .89 item and our free freeze. I thought it was great! Tasted like a slurpee but with more flavor. I don't think I'd pay $1.89 for one, but I'd get another free one! laugh out loud

I think he used the 3 Q's on a $150 order...knowing him.

Also, is the dog in your avatar yours? It looks just like my dog. Is it a silky terrier or a yorkshire?
yes, it is my dd's puppy ~ yorkie ~ that Santa brought this year. She took this pic and I loved it!!! Looks so good! And everyone has avatar's so she asked me to put this one on as mine! Thanks!

Debating about a yard sale with all my loot. Did see a post awhile back with a warning to not put all of your stock out at once. As I recall, poster said people didn't even want to pay a reasonable $1 for nice shampoo when they saw there were 100 bottles for sale.

Why not put out about 20 at a time and then they won't "think" there are so many and will be more apt to buy them....

Ugh.....can someone please tell me this horrible stage of throwing huge fits about EVERYTHING doesn't last forever?? my ddis sitting on the couch hysterical b/c I put her hair in a ponytail. Five minutes before that she was hysterical b/c I made her come back inside the house. *sigh* She turned two in March and I'm praying this doesn't laugh forever...because as cute as she is she is driving me crazy!!

Oh and does anyone have any good potty training tips?? I know she's ready...she just won't do it...today she took her diaper off and went off the floor. EEK! EEK! We've tryed a big girl chart....letting her run around without a diaper, sitting her on the potty seat....she just stares at us.
first off this typo is appropriate, laugh but just now in front of them ~ that would encourage them to continue, but laughing later seems to help at least for keeping sanity.

for dd, we put her potty seat in the living room, not the bathroom and anytime she wanted to watch tv she had to sit on the potty as her chair with her panties off. Tvhappy generally wearing a dress which was soooo easy. if she didn't sit, no tv. eventually you would hear the potty sounds. we would all cheer and she would be like what? she was so busy watching that she didn't realize she was going. then she caught on. it was the easiest potty training ever.

Ok all the teachers out there....what is a nice end of the year gift you'd like to receive? We gave my DS's Kindergarten teacher a scented candle for teacher appreciation week, so I need something different that she would actually like/use. kwim?
so got your back on this one....i've taught 1st thru 12th. now being the latter and no gifts for me Crying

my favorites and all my colleagues is gift cards...anywhere food, shopping, massages (that's a good one), etc. knowing what i know now, ya'll are in the perfect situation here for gifting teachers. we would heart you!! then second would be lotions, candles, etc and making a gift bag or basket would be perfect for some of your stashes that i see oodles and oodles of here.

seriously, if i had target sder's as my children's parents, it would be heaven. and alas i teach teenagers nowSadwalk

Thank you EVRYONE for all of your great ideas for DS's K teacher!

I picked up a little bouqet of flowers and DS wrote out a card. He's 6 and he wrote "Thank you for the nice 9 months." LMAO Too cute!

Anyway, since I'm a huge procrastinator and tomorrow is the last day of school...I think we'll go with the popular Target GC in the card. I think I have a few of those lying around. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Thank you again for all the suggestions!

Another nice thing that I like about cards is you have an opportunity to tell them what you feel about them. Thanking for their service, etc. A way to inexpensively express your gratitude, etc.
