Pretzels.....I will be in Chicagoooooo the weekend of july 18th!! Depending on what dh ends up doing that weekend i'm probably gonna be there from friday to mon or tuesday. I'm kinda scared to see you in action.....i just wanna follow you around the store and see how you do it!! lol
I'd like to see her in action too! I'm amazed at what she gets and how often. I know that if I walked into my Target with a fist full of coupons each one would be scrutinized. I'd love to do all the BOGO Dove coupons, but I'm sure they'd count each one! One of these days I'll be in Chicago for a soccer tournament.......

Please wish us luck! I work in a hospital, inpatient psychiatry. My husband works on the same campus in the nursing home. We THOUGHT our jobs were very secure. These 2 operated independant of each other for years and years... well at some mtg my husband went to today, they are combining into ONE. Payroll, HR, registration are all combining into ONE dept for both places. Starting FRIDAY! Which means layoffs are going to start on Friday. We both think our jobs and what we do are secure at each place but its a scary time. We can not work ONE minute of OT... our whole hospital cant, not just my dept. My dept is quite busy! Hubbys place is building a whole new unit! He is a carpenter and has lots of work.

Just keep us in your thoughts.. We just cant afford for us BOTH to get laid off! Hubby can get work as a carpenter as he has many offers of work, just has to turn them down! Thankfully I did put aside enough for 3 months worth of bills and we have lots of Target GC's from all the deals lately to pay for groceries for the next 2 months!

I understand your concern. I work as a teacher at a small private school. I teach K-8 physical education and health. I though my full-time job would always be secure. Well, I got my contract for next year and the principal said that the board had considered making me part-time. They thought I could teach all classes as a part time positon! EEK! I was shocked! Now, I'm worried that next year will be my last as full time and there aren't many jobs available in my area right now. As a single mom I won't be able to make it on a part time salary. Good thing you're a frugal shopper and sounds like you're prepared! Good luck.

Specializing in P&G products & Target. laugh out loud Imagine our infomercial, "Hate shopping for groceries and household goods? Ask the saving experts to do it for you..."
You know, if we really thought the deals were going to keep up, I was thinking about it for holiday time. Could make a killing shopping for people using the toy etq's. But alas, there is no way they will be around by then.

Trangiepooh better be nice to me. hubby dumpster dove and there were more stoueffers and yoplait in there

OR, you can do what one ebayer is doing.

Selling a email for 3.99 and free shipping for how to save hundreds of dollars at Target!

Plus get $15 in free TQ's.

I bout died when I saw that. The email would be quite simple.

Check out slickdeals.net go to Target Deals and in the first post go to Generator 9 to print TQ's. MUAHAHAH.
I really wanted the current toy q's and looked on ebay. disgusted to see peeps still selling the 5/25.

I'd be willing to do a good trade for toy q's someone isn't using, let me know--

You are not very nice to your DH by making him do the dirty work. shake head Btw, I don't think you are anywhere near your resolution goals and we're about 1/2 way through the year. Big Grin

Hm, how do you get DH to dumpster dive for you? I so wish I could get mine to try this. Asked him one day just to look in one for me, and he about came unglued at the idea.

Really gets me to do a search on ebay for target coupons and see all the ones you can get on target.com or SD being sold on ebay. That is just WRONG!

Now, shopping for a living? That could be fun!

He started a couple of months ago. We have to go to the dump to drop off our garbage, no town service here. So when he goes, he looks in the newspaper bins for people who recycle incorrectly and takes the coupons from there! Takes him about 30 min on a good day, today there wasn't a ton at all. I did get some more duracell for CVS deals next week, which I'm excited about!!

I would love it if etq's were going to be around. Could get everyone's groceries for free and earn a great living. But alas, that's not going to happen.

This could seriously work. People pay to have someone walk their dogs...they'd sure pay to have someone do their grocery shopping too. We could do someone's grocery shopping for 2 weeks...charge a certain amount over what they normally spend on groceries in a week....and we keep whatever we save. Evillaugh
Seriously, I was SO thinking about this last year around Xmas time......I told DH I would LOVE to get paid to shop/Xmas shop for people. He looked at me and laughed. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Could you imagine??? Cloud9

It's disgusting how much I spent on toys last xmas, DS's first one and I didn't know about SD or ETQ's. I found FW on black friday if you can imagine that. I already have this one packed in basement but I'm sure as the reds load up their toy aisles,I'll find more that I absolutely have to have

No. BJ's coupons are for BJ's only, not for any other store. Usually it clearly says it on the coupon. I tossed the booklet I recently received. Just because a coupon indicates MFQ, doesn't mean it can be redeemed anywhere. Some are promotions just with certain stores.

Of course, you can always be the guinea pig and try and report back to us.
Yeah, I thought they might be like the pantene coupons that clearly said CVS on them.

You know the ones.

Thanks!!

Hey, I found this site from FW too looking for Black Friday deals!

Anyway.. I went straight to my boss today as I couldnt attend the meeting. I told her (see, she REALLY likes me... partly me.. partly to get to my DH since he does carpentry work for her Wink ) that if she knew something, to please tell me.. I have 4 young kids to worry about. And DH and I are BOTH worried about our jobs.

She told me that the hospital does have to make a closure plan for 3months out because its required. We are not closing. My boss said she needs me and I am not going anywhere. If anything, I will lose 4hrs of pay which DH will make up because he can work until 3:45 and I will go to work for 4. But my job is secure and even if the hospital closes I can collect unemployment for 6mon... Well I guess I have to wait it out. Hubby talked to his friend who is a VP and was told "You are worth your weight in gold, you arent going anywhere" So as long as our hospital does not close, we are okay for now. I will continue to budget and put as much away a week as I can

What a relief (at least a temporary one) hug Sounds like Target needs to continue the great streak of GC deals so that you will continue to have surplus groceries Smilie

Maybe because the store exists for the sole purpose of selling stuff? What does it matter [to the store] if one person buys 50 items or 50 people buy one item each? It sucks for us dealseekers, but honestly - why should the store care about policing their customers' legitimate purchases. "Sorry sir, we don't want to make that much money off you, please put half of that stuff back on the shelf..." Confused Maybe somebody needs to be PO'ed at the store manager for not ordering enough stock?
i think you might have misunderstood. my point was why would they okay it, but then give all kinds of crap to other customers over coupon usage if they want a lot?
