I remember when I was a single mom, before getting married again, and it was so hard. I didn't get my CS hardly at all, and my job wasn't the best. Employers don't seem to care if you are a single mom, it is all about making money for them. I hope things work out for you, as I will never ever forget the hard times I had! Then I went on the College, got a better job, and remarried, so times are better now. I really think Single moms deserve more tax breaks etc... It is so hard for a single mom, first off a woman usually doesn't make as much as a man can, then usually but not always a woman is not as strong as a man, so doing household repairs is very tough sometimes. Then because you are a single mom, you can't afford to pay someone to do things for you. It is a no win game, and to this day I am still owed over 20k in back CS for my daughter.
You sound like a strong woman! Went to college, got a better job......Good for you! I do OK except for when ex is unemployed (which seems like more than he's working.) When he isn't working my college aged son doesn't have health insurance coverage. That's what worries me. I can survive without the CS (only $60/week anyway.), but I don't like it when my son doesn't have insurance. My youngest can be covered by the state, so I don't worry about him.
Thank goodness for all the great deals at CVS, WAG, and Target. I get lots of stuff for free or really cheap. My oldest always goes back to college with BOXES FULL of food and other stuff! I have my own store in my basement, like most of you!
Hopefully you get your back child support eventually. At $60/week, I'll never even get to 20K! LMAO
Thanks for your comment. It's nice to know that someone else can relate. hug

It's all in what you create for yourself. If you've got the want to do it, then do it, and make a change. It's not easy, but it sure is fulfilling to see what you have earned. Most importantly, I love being a mother to such a sweet, darling, funny, thoughtful, intelligent child.
Well said! Good for you for taking control of your life!

I'm out of TQ so that's good news, did you send me all your pampers, I'll love you forever. I still have a few $2 left that I probably won't even use. My focus is on diapers, clearanced tyson and more bertolli tomorrow. And 2 overage items that we need. And something else I'm forgetting but the list is in my car

I went to pay for my ebay auction for pampers and I see that she's on vacation until 13th. Screw that, I emailed her and said there's no way of seeing that until you go to the store, it's not on the BIN page. I'm not getting those, I'll find another auction tomorrow. Or I'm thinking that since I'm starting on the easy ups/feel n learns, I'll just take the coupons out of there and keep the cycle going once I'm out of my MFQ.

speaking of venus, I don't like it but at least I can figure it out. How does the schick intuition work, I'm not getting it and in turn, it's not shaving my legs

Never liked the intuition. The head doesn't swivel, so it's impossible to do much around the knees, ankles, etc., plus once the initial layer of the soap-stuff wears off, you either have to ditch the head (expensive!) or shave your legs w/a bare razor (ouch!).

ETA: I do like the Venus. I'm still using my Venus Vibrance from a few years ago, but I (like all the rest of you laugh out loud) have quite the stockpile of the Embrace so I'll probably try that someday. Smilie

Well that sucks. Will I like any of these razors or will I be the woman that has 150 razors downstairs but hairy legs as I can't use any of them?

Our DHs will be very jealous with this love affair. Blowkiss

I want an opinion on all of these razors, too. I'm still using my disposible packs from eon ago. Only have 2 legs to shave, so how many razors can I use at one time? Dontknow

The Fusion & Venus gift sets are great, but they take up so much room - defeating the purpose of the "unnoticeable stockpile" from DH.

I gave the Schick to a co-worker and he didn't like it too much. He an older gent who's used to his old razor. No opinion yet on the Fusion from him.

On the Handi-Vac rebate, I called last week, and the guy said he would call me back when he talked to the rebate center. Apparently I should get it in about another week (from last week), so any day now.

Use Nair....then you won't have to worry about which razor to use.

Can someone tell me if Target sells Muffin Top pans? My mom saw a recipe on Martha Stewart for "Whoopie Pie" LOL and it requires a Muffin Top pan. Also wonder what the price may be for one.

Thanks! heart

In case anyone is interested, here is the recipe: Whoopie Pie [marthastewart.com]
my neighbor used to make these 10 years ago. I don't think she used muffin top pans. I'm not really sure what she did, but I think she just spooned some batter onto a cookie sheet and put it right in the oven. They were yummy!
