You can't take your kids to Target? I take mine every week. Seriously, stop making excuses and grow a backbone. If there is nothing wrong with what you are doing and you are not neglecting your responsibilities, then tell him to back off and worry about something important. I've been married 25 years and it would be a cold day in hell before my spouse would dictate what I spend my time on.

Remember....you can only change yourself....not him. You either change the way YOU react to his bitching about your slick-dealing, or you just give it up and stop. Don't come in here asking people to tell you how to change your husband, because my friend, believe me, it aint possible.

I'm not trying to be hard on you but this is not an uncommon attitude on here...."oh my husband don't like it, what should I do? He won't LET me stockpile anymore."" When did women need permission to do something that can potentially generate income???

Yep....I don't think my dh and I have ever had a night out together since dd was born and she turned two in March. About a month ago we had finally arranged a babysitter and dh had back problems so we couldn't go out.
My youngest three kids are 2, 5, and 6. My husband and I have had 2, yes 2, nights alone in the house since we had them. I go to Target often so that I can have an "outing"! My husband is a big time homebody and could care less as long as he doesn't have to get out of the house.
I agree. I am OFTEN jealous of single moms. They get tax breaks, often qualify for government assistance and healthwave, and most of the time get a buttload of child support. My husband pays (in my opinion) WAY too much in child support from two kids from a previous relationship. Yes, I am definitely bitter about it, and yes, he made the decision and I made the decision to then marry him. We all make our choices I guess. I am sure that his ex doesnt have the money issues that we do. Mad
Sorry for the rant.

Just curious, has anyone sold GCs on ebay before? I am considering it if things happen tomorrow.. tomorrow is supposed to be the first day of layoffs and we are worried.. I was told I was needed by my director of nursing.. but what management wants they get... So if worse case scenerio happens, at least I can sell off the GCs to pay my mortgage! I have lots of food stockpiled so we wont starve for at least 2-3 months! You can PM if you want.. just thinking ahead as who the heck knows whats going to happen

I sooo agree! My husband would get pissed when I was out there spending actual CASH when we were BROKE.. but I have been rolling GCs for awhile I havent spent cash at T in a while! And as long as I am doing what I need to do at home.. who cares.. he doesnt! He will gladly watch the kids (all 4 of them) while I go out. He knows I am doing it for us and is HAPPY to keep building shelves for our stuff

Hi all! I had a chance to read along, loved the whole discussion everyone was into about people on the dole, had a few comments to make, then I took DD to get some stuff she needed & DH rebooted our computer. Grrr. So all of that stuff was gone when I came back.

In fact, the other night, he clicked on something, not watching where he was, and some weird stuff came up. So we tried to add a tighter security system to the computer, and it was so tight almost nothing worked. Now we're trying to get back to a happy medium and it's been tough.

Our DHs will be very jealous with this love affair. Blowkiss

I want an opinion on all of these razors, too. I'm still using my disposible packs from eon ago. Only have 2 legs to shave, so how many razors can I use at one time? Dontknow

The Fusion & Venus gift sets are great, but they take up so much room - defeating the purpose of the "unnoticeable stockpile" from DH.

I gave the Schick to a co-worker and he didn't like it too much. He an older gent who's used to his old razor. No opinion yet on the Fusion from him.
Not sure about the Venus, but DH really likes the Fusion alot. Of course, he's still using one from awhile back, it will take him a few years to get through all we have on hand.

DD is lucky, she's inherited my legs, which are not hairy. Between the hair being blonde and thin, I can get away with shaving only once in a while. In fact, it's probably been more than a month and you can just barely feel stubble on my legs. Cool So razors last a really long time for us girls! laugh out loud

My first husband (note, I can't say DH for him in a positive way, so will skip it), had a son from a prior marriage. He paid through the nose, and the judge wouldn't reduce it because the $$ was right for when they got divorced. He made some dumb mistakes before I met him and greatly reduced his income, so child support was not proportional at all. She & her new hubby had all they wanted, lived high off the hog, while we struggled.

Many reasons why we split, but once we were divorced, I knew I could never even date a guy who had kids from a prior marriage again. It was just all too bitter of a situation to go through again. So I can really relate to those rants some of you might have on this issue.

Thanks for understanding!
It really does make you bitter though. I am sure that this is the cause of many divorces. I tell my oldest daughter (from a previous relationship) all the time to make her choices wisely - make sure you love the man you marry/have kids with and try to make sure that you only have kids with one man and that that man doesn't have any other kids. I may very well get flamed for all of this but these are my true feelings.
