DH kept saying, "we need to unload all the stockpiles."

Do you think Target will let us open a "mini-Target" - a sub-franchise? laugh out loud How about "Target warehouse sale"?

I don't drag or ask him to go to T with me. I do this on my own time with the kids.
I am also a stay at home mom, and part of my JOB is stocking the house with groceries and other things we need, cleaning and doing laundry, cooking meals. Teaching my children to behave in public and private. Teaching my children that the world does not revolve around them, and helping them learn to take care of a house hold. teaching them to amuse themeselves. Yes when they where younger alot of time was taking up with diaper changes, feedings, offset by nice long naps, but seriously you need to do more than try to amuse your children 24/7 that is just not healthy for them or you.

I have been collecting them, but for some strange reason, the UPC on the coupon barcode does not match the UPC of the products. I even compared with the BOGO from the tearpad and it's totally different too. This will create major beepage. EEK!

I think that is a normal sale price - orginal price is around $1.39. It helps to have the BOGOs reduce the price even further, but you have to like the flavor/taste. Of course, not as good as paying $1 for bunch of them at Target (use your imagination with BOGOs). Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I had no luck with this...at some t's it asks for price...others it doesn't. I *bought* one to see if it asked for price before i tried the whole deal.

I really admire and respect people that can do this and I agree the system is there for this reason....what I do not agree with is people like dh's ex that lives in a rent free apartment nicer than the duplex we live in....that gets $3xx a month in food stamps....all of her and her children's medical bills taken care of, and a monthly CASH allowance from the state. She does not work and has no plans to work. Why should she?? She's got it made. Her kids literally ask for a toy and it's theirs. Where I have to tell my dd no you can not have that b/c we can't afford it and I freakin work 40 hours or more a week! Obviously every situation is different and I personally try not to cast generalizations, but it is really frusterating when we have customer's come in with their designer clothes, driving a $40,000 suv....and shell out $100+ for a movie and accidentally hand their food stamp card to us instead of one of their 10 credit cards. I'm not exaggerating, this has happened alot!

I am going to guess that anyone who is on slick deals is not one to take advantage of the system...as they are trying to save money and get good deals...not just not giving a shit.

Sorry for the mini-rant I just have a lot of frustration when it comes to this esp. from dealing with dh's ex.
I am with you, I do know the programs help alot of good families, but my parents both work for the welfare dept and I can tell you that fraud is rampant!.

It is sad when my brother is married with 4 kids works for the welfare dept and qualifies for the programs! Sadly we live in different states so my help to them is limited, they have one beat up car brother needs to get to work, I am just proud that he keeps working when they would have a lot more money if they just went on assistance 100%. The programs are to help people not take care of them 100% but that happens alot. Want to know why our economy is down, look at how many people comment fraud with the govenment programs, we need illegals to work, how about expecting people on welfare to clean up and get a job?

I gave a 30K job to stay home with my kids, yes we missed the money, but that is why I am on sd laugh out loud and seriously now that I cook more than eat out, and don't have to have dressy clothes for work, it is not as hard as most people assume it would be.

I call it get all the excess brand new crap out of my house.

I have literally seen people in apartments having a yard sale on the sidewalk using chain link fences to drape and hang their crap. Why don't they just call it a sidewalk sale like alot of retailers do LMAO

Swap meets are big in these parts as well. Never had heard of them in the midwest.
Rofl2 I was trying to figure out how to convey on my ad and signs that my sale will be all new stuff - Now I know how.

Garage Sale Sign

New Crap for Sale = Cheap for you = More space in my Garage.
No Bartering on Price - go buy retail if you don't like my prices!! laugh out loud

We used to have swap meets and flea markets, but not very many around anymore. Wish we had more... When my dad was really sick, my mom became one of those "dealers" that we all hate.. Would go early to the garage sales, barter on price and then go sell it at the swap meet for triple the price. But hey they made a living at it for 3 yrs.

Flea market is definately more profitable. More of a PITA though. Gotta get up way earlier, drag all your stuff there and then set it up.

Lots more people go to a flea market, so therefore you don't have to barter with your prices, unless of course it's the end of the day and you just want to get rid of it.

But like I said, my parents made a good enough living for 3 yrs to feed, cloth 4 kids and keep the family home doing flea markets, mind you most of there stuff was collectables, tools and electronics back then..

You are hysterical, now she's going to withhold coupons. I trade with her weekly!!

I did the kmart bones deal, what an SD that is. wish I would have done the GC but there were a bunch of old ladies and I didn't even use all my coupons as it is. I got my DH a pool accessory he needed that target didn't have and my kid a nice toddler swing. Still have enough q's for another $11 in overages. Thanks guys, that was the highlight of my day. Clearly target wasn't, that GSTL b*tch was there and she was muttering about me the whole time, talking to another cashier and hovering. I'm just not going there anymore unless someone else is there, will have to have Steph go first and scope it out. What a pain. Not my fault their system is f*d up.

End rant.
