Ok...I have a what would you do question.

I stopped at Walgreen's just to pick up some stuff real fast. I hate this Walgreen's, but it was along the way and couldn't justify not going there.

Anyways, go to check out, there's a little old lady in front of me and she is taking foreverrrrrr...so I'm just waiting and the lady rings her out and the cat machine spits out 2 or 3 things...she splits them up, sticks the rr on the side of the register and puts the coupons that printed out in the lady's bag. So being a frequent walgreen's shopper my mouth dropped open b/c I was like holy crap she's taking her rr's. Well, the lady sees me and grabs them from the side of the register and shoves them in the ladies bag. So here's where it got even weirder. At this point the old lady hands the cashier change...the lady throws the change on the counter, goes in her pants pocket (at which point I very clearly see the other rr's in her pocket) and gives the lady change out of her pocket. Uh....what the hell? Would you guys say something, even after the fact or more it's not your rr's, it's not your business??
What a hag. Awful.

Yeah, I would say something, as long as that's not a WAGs you want to shop at regularly. KWIM? 'Cause you'll have to avoid that cashier like the plague-- although it sounds like you'd probably want to avoid her anyway. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I rarely go to that walgreen's, I hate it!! It's always rude old ladies and they hate my coupons. I was gonna pick up some foil and bandaids while i was there but decided it wasn't worth the hassle. And she even went so far as to ask for my id AFTER she rang up my cigarettes. I've been a smoker for years and I know the only time they ask after they ring it up is just to be a pain in the ass. I had my wallet out, she knew i had my id, just so unnecessary.

Would it be better to call or email?

If there were really great deals I'd have to go back. I did get some of the $2.50 Handivac coupons and they're on sale this week; I don't need diapers, so other than that I don't know what I'd go for.
The handi vac coupons work nicely on the non stick foil and plastic wrap. Both on sale for $2.50 this week also. It has to be the non stick foil. Reg. foil has a different number.

The girl at the Troy wags says that some people tell her to keep the RR's, because they won't use them. I find that hard to believe, but to me that is fine if they offer them up. But to see what you did is crap, I can't believe that the people don't say hey where is my reward?

I remember when the new wags in Wentzville opened up, and I went with my DH at noon. I buy a bunch of things that would get RR's, but the register did not produce the rewards. It was like over $27 in RR's I should have gotten. Anyway the cashiers and managers didn't even know the RR's machine wasn't working and thought that I didn't get my rewards, because I used coupons. I knew that wasn't true, and after calling the district store, they realized their machines were not working yet.

My point is the no one else who purchased the Venus that day for instance, that had a huge sign on it that said a $6 RR would print at the register, complained before I did at noon about where was their RR? I know people were buying them, as this was a brand new opened store, and most were gone by the time I got there. I only buy things at Walgreen's that are on sale or to get RR's, why would anyone else not say anything? I asked the cashiers all three of them if anyone had said anything, and was told no I was the first person to bring up the lack of RR printing. So I guess most people don't know about the RR's or don't care and this is why the cashier can get away with this.

This was an older lady in front of me and I'm gonna guess that she doesn't even know what a rr is and will probably end up throwing it away, but she should at least be given the chance to do that....maybe I should have followed her home and went through her garbage can!!! lol

What wags is this Jen, I have been to them all, and have never seen anything like this. I want to avoid this store. I know of the 5th street one, and the Zumbel one (the manager there is not very friendly). Why would the cashier give the lady change out of her pocket? Weird! All the wags up and down Hwy 94 are great. I don't really like the 5th street or Zumbel stores. One day the cashier at the fifth street store, did not deduct one of my husband's $10 RR's. We each had our own order. He told me in the car the total was more than I told him it would be. I said where is your receipt? I said that is because one of your $10 RR's is missing. We went back in the girl was an as... maybe she pockets them to? Anyway she gave some line about having to get a manager to ok giving back the extra RR she had in her hand, that she didn't deduct. I was ticked bad, I said well get a manager, because we want our coupon back that you didn't deduct.

So a manager comes up and she tries to give him some song and dance about how my husbands total was so low. I firmly told the manager we just want our RR back that the girl did not deduct off the sale. He said sure fine, looked at the cashier strangely and got the reward to hand back to me. I said loudly when leaving the store, I would not be returning to this location. Many customers heard this. Well I figured what nerve to take a RR for $10 that you didn't even deduct off the total and then try to not have to give it back.

It was the west clay one...right off west clay and droste.

Which girl was it at the 5th street store? I go there all the time but hardly ever coupon there....the two times I have tried it's been royally screwed, unless you go to the lady in cosmetics with long hair and glasses, she's a doll!!

Also you are probably right about the cashier thinking the older woman would not know. Just like the cashier figured my husband would not know, which he did not. He had to give me the receipt for me to figure it out. I was like wasn't it obviouos to you, that a $10 coupon was missing. He said no, men! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Oh got you, that is the one where the manager is not so nice. I got that confused with the Zumbel one. I tell you what I don't like the 5th street one, or the West Clay one. The Zumbel one is fine, I was thinking that was the West Clay one for some reason.
