This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! The only story I had heard was that the wife wasn't being charged with anything, as she didn't know what was going on. Maybe she didn't live in the home anymore? I would still think she would wonder about her daughter.

Agreed, but interesting how a new girlfriend can change the way an ex feels about paying child support. Don't they know they are next! Big Grin

My stores around here will still try to sell the Sunday papers until Thursday of the following week. Most of the gas stations are sold out often, before Sunday night, and then I was told if any are left the paper guy comes in to pick them (as he must account for them). I asked what they do with their extra papers they don't sell. However, we have a $ store that sells papers, so you can save almost .60 a paper if you buy this way.

Jen if you ever need a paper late in the week, check your local wags, but make sure the guts are still intact before you buy.
They do the same thing here. On weekends the P&G inserts come out it seems the papers sell out pretty quickly at the gas stations and the grocery sell them into the next week.

We just got back into town so I haven't tried the Pampers deal yet. I am due in Jan and thought this would be a good deal to stock up with. So I know we can make the deal a little sweeter and I think I know, but would love a PM from someone who has done the diaper deal with the MQ so I can get a idea, if I have the right idea, or not. KWIM? laugh out loud

Yes, that was a big story here last week, then they decided none of the affected tomatos came from Texas. Although most of the fast food places aren't offering tomatos right now, even here in Texas.

I thought someone here might know if Whole Foods takes coupons. If yes, do they take IPQ?

TIA Smilie

I know that Whole Foods does take Qs. They used to have the Mambo Sprouts booklets available at the CS desk there, and would tape the Qs to the products sometimes.

As far as IPQs, I don't know. I tried using some of the B1G1 IPQs on Nancy's yogurts about six months ago our our local then-Wild Oats (now Whole Foods). They eventually took them but it was a big to-do about whether these were "copied Qs"-- I don't think they had ever seen IPQs before.

Never venture out of Target's slickdeals so I don't know the deals, but I went to CVS and Walgreens today to get a few things that were on sale and I had coupons for. Not a bad deal for me. Still had to pay, but I'm sure some of you could do even better.

cvs:
ajax dishwashing .88-.20 manu =.68x2
dove shampoo/conditioner bogo with card (I know I have Pantene, but this is one I like, also) 4.99x4 -4.99x2=9.98-1.50-2.00-3.00-3.00 manus =.48woot
Total 1.99 (.15 tax)

Oh and going back tomorrow for the smart rinse that is 3.49 plus 3.49 back in rr (that I have never done either) and I have 1.00 manu. They were oos today!

walgreens:
viactiv calcium 8.99x2=17.98-3.00-3.00 walgreens coupons=11.98-2.00-2.00 manu= 7.98
post hbo 1.99x4=7.96-2.00-2.00-2.00-2.00=.04 overagewoot
Total 7.94 which is less than 1 viactiv which I need! bounce

I thought it was pretty good for me!!

Plus, at CVS lots of L'oreal makeup was 75% off, but I didn't need any and I didn't have coupons so I restrained!!

Wink What's that saying? "Can't teach an old dog new tricks" or was it "once a dog, always a dog!" OMG
On a deal note, I went to Walmart today and used the Coke coupon on 24 packs of Dasani. Worked great! Water for $2!!

[QUOTE=schnauzermomma;11658781]Some would say it is sad that to get the child support the ex has to be in an accident, agreed. I would bet there are some who have an ex who wouldn't care about the ex, but just want the child support.

I guess if the ex was really a good guy he would either 1) not be your ex or 2) pay his child support on his own, on time.

I know when I was married to a guy who had to pay child support, I made sure his child support came out of our budget first, before just about anything else. That was true whether he was bringing enough income into the house to pay it, or whether it was coming out of my paycheck. I also know once he was gone from my life, I suddenly realized I had just given myself a big increase in pay (income).

My husband has to pay child support and it is outragous..the amount he pays for 2 kids vs. the amount my ex is supposed to pay for 1...big difference. She is in it only for the money and has told him he will never have full custody of the kids because she doesn't want to go back to work..LAZY! I can totally understand the increase in income if not paying all the support. (He pays over 1/3 of his income in child support (before taxes) and of course, the money is tax free for her, not for him.) I agree with child support, but I also think both parties should have to hold a job. (He should not have to support her too.)

My little brother (26) pays $800 for 3 (first babys mama), $300 for 1 (second babys mama), and now is married with a 2 year old. ALL of his money basically goes to CS. I told his wife, who was my friend first DO NOT marry him, he comes with to much baggage and do not complain about the money or the mamas because you all ready know about the situation before going in. Instead of doing this she got pregnant, they got married, and now she is complaining about the support and the drama. She told me she loved him. I told her a marriage was also a financial contract and one of the biggest decisions you make in you life. Many marriages break up because of finances. I told her she will have to be the breadwinner and needs to go back to school to get a better job because all of his income is accounted for. They were first, so they get first dibs.

I try to talk to the teens/early 20 somethings at work who keep talking about having babys. I tell them if you get pregnant and you are not married that will be YOUR BABY. You will be the one missing work, school, activities. Your life will be put on hold, while he can keep doing what ever it was he was doing. Getting a new girlfriend and some new kids. I tell them guys do not want to have kids unless they ask you to marry them. Other than that they are having sex with you and you come up pregnant. Be satifisied with him being your boyfriend, DO NOT make him a daddy. Yeah we know guys should use condoms if they do not want kids, but the woman will be the one stuck. I might get flamed but I think all woman get pregnant on purpose. My great-grandma told me when I was 17 I better never be suprised if I come up pregnant. If you are having unprotected sex and are not on any birth control you are expecting a to have a baby, (if nothing is physically wrong). To me its a womans choice to be a single mom, (unless you get divorced, then thats different). I know a girl who now has 2 kids. She was complaining about how hard it was to be a single mom, THEN why in the world would you get pregnant again. I tell them they are perpetuating being poor. They are going to struggle when they do not have to.

Then I have some at work that complain about the amount of support they are getting..Why get pregnant from someone who stocks at WM, how much CS do you think you will recieve. He is not a doctor, lawyer, or a ball player.. I tell them if you get pregnant by a "scrub", expect to get "scrub" like support.

Hi all,

I'm back from my mega shopping day. Not the best day. Had a really rough time at CVS (must be a new register update because I got charged for something I shouldn't have and it was impossible for the manager to return it, since I only spent 11 cents after Qs... usually they can return to a CVS money card no problem Confused Then I got overcharged for 2 other items... so it was a whole big LONG fiasco Frown ). Later, at KMART... I did great with my shopping (3 cents total OOP)... but the Catalina machine was out of ink... so just printed blank pages instead of the Qs I was owed (including my new $3/3 J&J). Anyone have any idea on who I should contact to get my coupons??

Thanks...

I'm super busy now, so I prob. won't have time to read this or the Target thread until later tonight.... hope everyone's having a good day! wave

If you're going back to walgreens, you can also pick up free bandaids with the $1 MQ and get 20 sq. ft reynolds wrap for $0.34 each after $0.55 MQ and Walgreens in-ad $0.89 Q.
