hug hug So sorry to hear that. You and your family are in my prayers. I firmly believe in when one door closes another one opens ( and sometimes for the better) . Here's praying that this is the case for your husband. nod

Good luck to you, maybe your boss's good words on how much you're needed will be taken into consideration.

Not sure if this was answered....but I didn't realize I was .20 cents short on my main card to complete this. Mad So I gave it the old college try yesterday. It was a failure. Mad But it is still on the bottom of my receipt. HTH. Smilie
I think everyone's may have said $19.80. I know I purchased OVER $20 worth of charmin/bounty last week... I got the ECBs... but my receipt still said I only purchased $19.80....

That sux bad! So DH was laid off and you are reduced by 4 hours in a week? Would your family consider moving to find more work, or do you have too much family in the area, too many ties and memories? I really can't think of much else if the area is so slow of work. However, things are bad in construction everywhere. Especially for those who work residential from my understanding, with the house market down. Luckily my husband is working a commercial job these days. The rain in our area is the problem, not lack of work. Thank God you have the Target thread to at least try to save a little.

Hopefully like others have said this will just make room for a bigger better opportunity!

being nice pays!!!

Has anyone tried the kashi vive cereal?? I'm having my first bowl and it's pretty good!! It also have 14 g of fiber, so that's almost halfway to 35 for the day lol. I'm gonna look up info on it today but anyone have any tips in a good fiber supplement?
I agree, being nice pays!!!!

We love that darned old Kashi Vive cereal! Yum!!

I really like the benefiber tablets - the kind you swallow. I take three every day. Am going to try the chewables - they're orange creme flavor - but only because they cost less.

Last week it said there was a limit of 1 for the Bounty/Charmin/Duracell deal, but it's actually a limit of 2. You need to spend $19.80 to qualify for the ECB. Your receipt is telling you that you've already spent $19.80 or more for the first deal, so you need to spend another $19.80 for the next ECB to spit out. Some people are saying that only the Duracell counts toward the deal this week, but I'm not sure. Hope that explains the receipt thing.
It's actually a limit of 3, I think. And mine did the same thing when I spent more. Good news is, I think the subtotal is in the background and will combine with other purchases - of the duracell only - this week.

Now that is just so sad. I am sorry to hear that, I will say an extra prayer for you, and hopefully he'll find an even better job as a result of this. I agree...when one door closes, one door opens...

You'll need the Fiber supplement with the Kashi if you know what I mean! laugh out loud I can't remember what I used, and hate taking them because they are so yucky! Can anyone recommend one that doesn't taste so bad at least when mixed?

Good idea, the ones you can swallow that way you don't taste it! I might try the chewables, since they are orange creme flavor. What I used was a yucky powder mix, I shudder to think about it now!

The catalina marketing company-- tell the woman who answers the phone that you are a consumer who had trouble w/a promotion, then when she transfers you, press "3".

They are on the East Coast, so you'll have to call tomorrow.

I just got off the phone w/them this morning, still trying to get my Kmart/Indiana Jones/Dr. Pepper situation straightened out. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

Kmart seems to be very sketchy w/the catalina machines-- I almost missed out on my Incredible Hulk tickets too, but I noticed that the machine at the register looked messed up and asked before he rang me.
Thank you! I just got off the phone and the nice lady said they'd send me the coupon in the mail... and she would call me if there was a problem. So hopefully I'll get it soon. She said you actually only have to buy 2 J&J items to get the coupon which is either $2.50/3 or $3/3.

BTW, I 1st contacted catalina by email from their website and got a totally unhelpful email reply. So anyone that has catalina problems... I recommend following sbhiggins instructions.

Oh dear, that's just terrible. Frown

So sorry, and hope he finds an even better job soon. hug

As the economy keeps going in the toilet and stuff like this happens, it makes me very thankful for my (and all of our) cheap "skills." I'd hate to be scrambling to find ways to save money now, KWIM.

Our movie theater has 20 screens = 20 movies. There is no way an average person will know which is a Universal movie and which is not. That's why that peelie is a treasure for our family as we go to see most of the movies in the theater, except the rated R and above.

No, being an SDer, I don't usually pay for our tickets. I win them - the sneak previews. My kids tell their classmates that I'm the coolest Mom b/c they get to see new movies, even BEFORE those hit the official screening dates. Cool
so how do you win them???

I don't know how she does it... but I've done this thru magazines like US Weekly and Entertainment Weekly. Also, the big paper around here (Baltimore Sun) plus my local paper both give away passes for movie screenings...
