I LOVE those shoes! Wear them all the time. You won't believe though - those clothes I got for Jenna are too small! They are 12 mo. Must be some weird sizing.

Oh no, do you have a Carters store near you? If not you can mail them to me and I can exchange or get a refund for you, let me know.

Oh and Trang, I am outside of Philadelphia, near King of Prussia, one of the best malls in the country. I am about 4 hrs from D.C.

OT question, but then this is chat, so I guess it's OK Smilie

Does anyone know where one can find the new type of Adidas deodorant?

I've got a free Q for this that expires tomorrow; thought WAG carried it, so I looked last night during my $5/20 runs but no go. Help?? Confused

Thanks. . . unfortunately we are one of the cursed areas w/no CVS. Mad

I think I'll try Kmart, since I think I remember they used to carry it.

Fur fighter-- $9.99 for the handle, $4.99 for the refill.

So, w/TQ + MQ, $1.99 for handle; MQ gives you $.99 on the refill.

Thx-thought it was more the way people are talking about it. I'll skip this one Smilie

I used to think no CVS would be awful but with the non personalized printables pretty much gone, it's getting harder to put runs together. You're not missing much

There are some CVS-brand Qs out now that don't expire til 8/31 and give some nice overages.
For example: $2 off any CVS skincare product. My store has 10-ct CVS-brand quilted squares and rounds on 75% clearance for $0.25 each... which means $1.75 overage w/no beeps! Yahoo! You can only use one Q per transaction, but there's also a $2 CVS defining skincare Q that you can usually use as well.

Using these Qs, an exp $5/15 and a bunch of MFQs, CVS paid me $4.73 yesterday to take a Jumbo pack of Huggies, 4 cans Nivea shaving cream, and 2 quilted rounds off their shelves! Big Grin

BTW, these Qs are from the Beauty Handbook, so they are printable. I found a buttload of the hard-copy BH fliers at one CVS, though, so that saved me some paper & ink. l

hey there Chicago SD'ers!
just wanting to know if there are any coupon friendly stores there. my sister lives there and has been shopping the Clark St. location; apparently they are the worst - will not take ANY coupons that beep regardless whether it is the right item in the picture. (not even johnson's mfg on the full size baby lotion! EEK!)

the last time she was there (2 days ago) she was attempting to use the $5/5 target johnson's, $1 bandaid, $1.50/2 ziploc bags (on 2 of the $1 ones), and some trial size deodorants with coupons that did not exclude trial size. so she wasn't even going for any overage or using anything *questionable* at all..
They could find no other reason not to take them except for the fact 'it beeped so we can't take it.' they even went so far as to accuse her of stealing, simply because the coupons beeped and said 'item not found'. now we all know that is not true; lots of legit coupons beep, that does not mean we are stealing! shake head

she was absolutely ticked; at least with this whole traumatizing experience she did do the smart thing and abandon the transaction (and she did have lots of other stuff besides coupon items). she went to GS and they also rejected all of her coupons. she then emailed corporate asap and has yet to see anything come back but the generic email for coupons, and definitely hasn't seen anything to apologize for the employees treating her like some kind of criminal. Mad

anyhow, in the meantime i advised her to move on to another store. clearly that one is Deathstars R Us. she's had several bad experiences there, just this particular transaction was by far the worst and took her over the edge. if there are any 'good' stores there i know anyone here will be able to help out more than anyone else. please pm so i can send her on over to try a different target. hug

on a good note, she is coming to visit the weekend of 4th of july, i told her she is going to make some target runs with me here - where the targets are super friendly. Big Grin

Doublesided, the overage comes with buying the refills. They are $4.99. minus the $4 mq and $4 tq = $3.01 overage. The tq will beep though because it is coded for the starter kit, but with a good cashier can get k1'd.

Had another nice Target run today, like everyone else says the usual suspects, 3 Solo, 2 Airwick Kits, 1 Reynolds Plastic wrap, 1 V8 juice, 3 Powerade, 4 Calfornia mini Pizza's, 2 Goodlife (that is all this store had left), 2 Shebas, 2 Crest, 2 sandwich bags (the ones by the register for a $1), 2 Fur fighter kits, 6 bottles of Pantene and some other Misc. Total before coupons (none expired except the $5 grocery which was accepted) was almost $100, but only $11.50 after coupons, and I got $10 in giftcards. I am starting to think that bigger runs are easier. Well this is a bigger run for me anyway.

I might need to try this, as I have 4 starter kits now. If they won't take the TQ, the MQ coupon still scans right? If so at worse you would spend .99 for a pack of refills. Also this is a product I will use as I have furry cats, who like to shed on the sofa and bed!

This is what I am thinking too.... if the TQ is rejected, then I wouldn't mind paying the $.99 since I like the product, but the $3.01 in overage would be nice too.

I was afraid to go into too much detail about this, after the whole barrage of questions from the other day Crazylaugh but oh well. . . it seems pretty quiet today. Shutup

I am a former Chicago SDer. . . never coupon-shopped much at the Clark St. location, but I did go to the (ahhh. . . my memory is fading now) the one near Midway airport. I think it was on 55th St. They were really nice there for a long time, and then I had one bad run in where they started rejecting ETQs and all Qs off trial size. After that it was hit or miss, very much dependent on who was working on that day (although I guess that's always true w/T Wink ).

At the time there were only a few choices in the city (I'm assuming she lives in the city if she's shopping at the Clark one).

OK, I just looked up my old zip code on Target.com. . . there are like three new Targets since we moved! The T I was thinking of was on Cicero, btw.

Hey, quit talking about shopping in the OT thread...it's making me jealous!! lol

I just want everyone to know stupid work ruins everything!! i make the schedule at work so I so could have taken off next weekend and went to Chicago, but noooo my boss is outta town which means I'm in charge, so I have to work all weekend. *sigh*

And everyone please wish me luck that everything goes smoothly while the boss is out of town...last time I swear to god all of the manager's went stupid and/or crazy and decided to do whatever they want. I'm the type of person who knows what needs to get done and I get kind of pissy if people don't just listen to me. Boss tells me I need to work on my tact! lol If only I could be so assertive at T, I'd be set for life!

shake head Nope. WAG has a virtual monopoly on the drugstore market here.

We used to have Sav-On too, but CVS bought all of those up. I thought for one bright shining moment they were going to change them all over to CVS-- you know, like they did everywhere else in the country, and in Santa Fe-- but no, they just closed them.

Sadwalk So now we just have WAG. Good thing I like WAG. Smilie

Sometimes I think it's a blessing not to have CVS though-- I think if I was trying to keep up w/T, WAG, the occasional Kroger deal AND CVS, I'd have to quit my actual job, and DH might have something to say about that. Crazy
