This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Ok this sounds dumb, but I can't keep my charcoal lit. Frown My nice big bags of kingsford are not easy light, so I used lighter fluid. I don't want my meat tasting like it though, so I don't want to use a lot...anyone have any suggestions or links?

thanks!
Didnt read through so sorry if this has been answered. If you need to use lighter fluid, burn it for awhile so the fluid burns off.. then your meat wont taste like it Smilie

I am definetly seeing I need a routine, I am guessing we live close, because we are the only ones in the country that has a free zoo. Went to San Diego the first of June and couldnt force myself to pay to go to the zoo there, made no since when i had a free one back at home. Just found out that there is a 99% chance DH is getting laid off tomorrow... How scary.
My prayers are with you. For the last 3 weeks, there were talks of a layoff where DH and I BOTH worked.. that was the scariest, we BOTH could have been out of work! DH did get laid off last Thursday and we are adjusting. Thankfully we just got the unemployment hearing and he will only lose $50 per week and I also didnt lose my job or hours

Unemployment in my state is only $320 per week maximum, and you have to make at least $30,000 a year before the layoff to get full benefits. So that is pretty good benefits to only lose $50 per week. You must live in a more generous state.

I have a list, need to find it. I really haven't bought any in a while so if there's anything new I don't have it. I also don't have the ones that are packaged more than one in a pack. So every time I go out until this coupon expires, I'm gettin me a train!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did buy an orange racecar one, it's big, I think he's scared of it. He stares at it and throws it. Very typical. We are only putting water in it right now.

He's liking this little einsteins one that came in those clearance dish sets but he threw it and broke it today. So I bought a mickey mouse one in my run tonight. I may duct tape the bottom so if he throws it it won't crack

Anepu-I actually get deal alerts for toysrus, it was the first thing I opened when I got home. But luv ya for mentioning it so now I actually remember to print it!!!

Yaaa for me and Stormy--free trains

I know more trains, just what we need. When I gasped in excitement last night, hubby asked, oh no what deal is there now, lol

Only prob is toys r us in in King of Prussia, so its a lot of traffic for me.

I need a shopping center with a Toys R us, a Babies R us, a chain book store (none close by), a few craft stores, and of course a Target, prefereably a ST.

I have been out every day this week, and so want to go out today. Wonder if I can convince my hubby to bring my van home today, and convince my SD buddy to go to Target, and Kmart and Toy R US.

I am sure there are some, lol. I have a corner in my bedroom just with Thomas stuff. The ages on them is 4 and up, my little guy is almost 16 mo! I need to start buying a rubber maid tote every time I go to Target to start storing some of this stuff and maybe send it down to my dad's basement.

That is awesome - and definitely more generous unemployment than most.

I buy a rubbermaid tote now with just about every run I have where I'll have some overage to help cover it. Smilie

Here was a post in that Thomas thread I thought was interesting.

The following is a link to a 3M website that has forms for gift cards, etc. when you buy specific Post It and Scotch tape products:

laugh out loud Yeah, I've seen these before. If I was buying for an office, maybe these deals would work! Smilie

Oh, and for those of you wondering about my post in the Target thread, yes, it has been reported that the $6 off 2 peelies on Jungle Book 2 worked fine at CVS on only one movie. Seldom does their system work as 'freely' as Targets does. Smilie

Probably my bigger concern at CVS, though, is the coupon nazi's. The worst one at my closest store is actually the youngest guy who works there. EEK! I actually had to complain to the manager about him, he was treating me so much like a thief when I was using legit coupons exactly as they were intended.

I have a jedi there, he's on a couple of nights a week. If he's not there, I typically just do a monthly deal and walk out. If he's there I do what I'm there to do. Praying he's there tomorrow night so I can do duracell, all and a few others early. I want to concentrate on cereal sunday morning and get that done fast and not think about cvs

For the Thomas folks, I was just at TRU, and I was amazed at the selection of trains, and now even some "cars".

For the Meijer shoppers, Meijer ice cream is $2.50 a half gallon, and there is a printable Meijer Q on their site for $1.00 off. Kraft sliced cheese is $1.89, and there is a printable Meijer Q on their site for $1/2. It for Kraft shredded, but it worked for the slices last time I tried it.

Has anyone found Joint Juice at Walmart or Walgreens? More importantly, does anyone know the price? I have tons of coupons to use and my Target has not restocked it unfortunately. I think they may stop selling it and it is REALLY helpful to my dd and dh. TIA!!!
