I am not sure about needing presents for parties, most of the people around here do family parties. Plus I serioulsy need more room. You know that I live in a 3 bedroom older apt, with one closet, yes 1!

I am in the process oif cleaning and purging my laundry room. There is so much stuff in there and it hasnt been used (exc Christmas decorations) in the 6 years we have been here. I have a butcher block counter that runs the whole wall on the one side, I am stacking boxed stuff up there.

On a cute note Ryan is 16 mo old today!
Lucky you. We have 3 this summer that I know of, just got invited to another one today for a 1yo, got that covered downstairs. But what do I do about the 8yo and 6yo? Legos?

Is the clearance on the Cranium Bloom a regional thing? My store had an entire endcap of it yesterday, but none of it was on clearance. I even scanned them all at the self checker. The worker stocking shelves was probably saying to herself, "stupid lady, can't you read the price tag right there on the shelf!" as I scanned the twentieth box!

For those waiting on the Handi-Vac rebate, I just got mine today. That was nice to get $50 in the mail. I bought all 10 you could buy, and gave most to my other family, I kept 3 for my immediate family. They were free after the sale, coupons and rebate so what a deal. I think they were $6.99 plus tax, then $3 coupon than $5 rebate. So really overage of .40 on each after tax and the stamp. I mailed mine in on almost the last day they could be accepted, so the rebate came pretty quite. I think one of my rebates was 29 days after my purchase and it would take 3-5 days at least for them to receive. The rebate said it must be received within 30 days of purchase, so I was a little worried about $10 of the rebate (two were on this receipt). However, maybe they went by postmark date, because I did get the rebates for all ten.

Also when I used one of the bags from a box of Handi-Vac bags, the bag failed. It wouldn't work for anything, this was the only bag that ever did this to me. I have used at least 5 boxes now. Anyway I called the company and told them about it, the CS lady asked the lot number of the bags and was glad I reported it, and sent me a coupon for a free box. That was really good customer service, because I was a little worried at first the bags wouldn't work in the freezer. However, like I said that was the only bag that didn't work, so it turned out alright.

Yeah, my 2 1/2 year old calls Target the "red ball store"!laugh out loud

The Crest Healthy Radiance toothpaste is really good I think. Last week wags had this toothpaste on sale for $7.99, then they had a $3 easy saver coupon, and I used the $3 coupons from the P&G ad. I stocked up on this toothpaste and after trying it I am glad I did, because it works great for me. I figured for $10 a tube I would wait to try it, but for $1.99 after coupons it was a great deal. I didn't get the $2 Crest Radiance coupon, you gals must have participated in an offer I did not.

I bought one of those at WAGs too! I was a bit curious about this TP. After all I used so many Qs for it Wink thought I might actually try it out. I'm still using a tube of Colgate though, so I haven't opened it yet.

Those cardboard Qs that P&G sends out are usually from responding to offers in their email newsletters. If you never look at your spam email, you may not see them. Smilie But I think you can also go to the website and request the Qs.

Waiting for the baby to get up so I can walk to Kmart, and do some couponing there!

My bad, I accidentally posted all of the below in the deals thread. Realized it, went back and edited my post before I got slammed.

I just have to say how bad I feel for those of you who are trying the pampers deal expecting it to now be beep free and not finding that to be the case. I know it would really frustrate me. I can promise you, though, that both of mine were beepless - at least for this coupon.

Funny thing, though, I did have alot of beeps on this run, on other stuff I was buying. Made me a bit nervous, not because I had bad stuff, but just in general. After I had a chance to look over my receipt, I realized it was because I had various glade coupons, and they all attached to weird stuff, so when the higher priced q's started coming through, there was nothing for them to attach to. Kind of like how that $1 Tide q attaches to other things.

Hey guys...
We finally heard back from the pediatricians office while I was trying to make dinner...Nothing like making us wait till the last possible minute Mad ..Anyway, they said the results of the Xray showed that the spacing was less than desired/normally seen between the bone plates in a baby of his age and size but that they were NOT fused at this time...So, they will watch him carefully thru the next couple of growth spurts to see what develops and do an MRI/CTscan this time around if necessary instead of an Xray...
I am thankful that he has avoided this diagnosiis for now and praying it continues to remain unfused until he is done growing...I just have to hope that they dont find it later on when the remedy (surgery) would be much more invasive and traumatic for him...Unsure

Thanks for all the prayersheart...you guys are great!!nod
So glad to hear the good news.

Myfeethurt.. so sorry to hear of your loss...

With the price of gas, my sister and I decided to hit 3 Targets at one time while we were out today, as to avoid one big run. We walked into the 3rd one and saw no good cashiers and was about to turn and walk out , when i remembered that DD had $4 I promised she could spend there. I did a small run of gatorade, 1 pampers and wipes, and spicy. Well when I was checking out the LOD comes over to my cashier and puts some coupons in her drawer, and also tells her I just caught that lady trying to screw us hard with these, I then look up and say what? She said oh not you, of course at that time my coupon beeps item not found, stupid me gave over 4 ziploc coupons and only bought 3. LOD is like that is what just happend with the other lady so match up items every time it beeps items not found. So not sure if it was an SD person or not, but they then called in the local police department, I see her asking other cashiers about whoever this person might have been, and I see the police walk out with his little notebook .So if it is an SD person on this board, I hope they used cash, and dont go back there.
That is really something pretty scary. I always use cash. And when I returned something because the coupons wouldn't scan - so they refused to allow them - she asked me for my credit card. I told her I didn't have it with me, I used gift cards. She looked at the register funny and finally said, 'so it would be ok to put this on a gift card?' Yes, sweetie, that would be great, thanks! Of course, I had used cash too, since my total was higher than expected, but a gift card was fine, I didn't want to make a scene.

This came from another thread on SD. I just have to say I don't think I'd post this type of info on a board such as this. Not that I have a criminal record, or anything! laugh out loud

Quote from Devilmomma :
Because if they can prove your intent to use a coupon on anything other than it's intended purpose, is coupon fraud.

*snip*
That is pretty scary, but knowing how coupons attach to the wrong stuff at Target, it sure could be hard to prove what someone was trying to do. I know the other day the cashier gave me back a manu q that I really had no intention of giving to her. In fact, I don't know how it ended up in the stack other than pure stupidity.

Quote from tmcws :
Hi everyone! Just popped in to weigh in on the PG test issue - I used to work in a rural health clinic, and had a very long discussion on the whole issue with one of our docs since DH and I were TTC at the time - what he told me is that the tests all are looking for Hcg - Human chorionic gonadotropin. If it's there, it's readable - if it's not, it's not. He told me that the dollar tests have the same ability to detect as the other tests, and didn't understand why people spent so much money on the "fancy" ones. I took his advice and saved a ton of money (I used to buy them by the dozens)! HTH someone!
I'm not a doctor, and while I agree with this, the fact is that some women, when pregnant, can have a very low pregnancy hormone, or Hcg. When I found out I was pregnant, I found out via a blood test at the doctor's office.

The strips had repeatedly shown negative, and we'd been TTC for months. Back then I don't even know if the dollar stores carred the tests, so we were spending some $$. Doctor said my Hcg was so low that it was likely I'd been pregnant before, but before things had time to develop, my cycle took over because the Hcg was so low.

We were literally one month from starting fertility shots. EEK! So to all of you TTC, and it's not happening, I encourage you to talk to your doctor about doing more of your pregnancy tests via a blood test at the doctor's office - and EARLY on after your cycle is missed.

PM me if you need more info.

Quote from sbhiggins :
I mentioned this the other day-- the level of pure unadulterated nastiness over in the HD section of SD is kinda shocking. I've been keeping my eye on a couple of threads from over there, and I can't believe how completely unpleasant (and that's an understatement) people get over the most trivial things.

It always amazes me b/c the T thread has the reputation for being "mean"-- but I've found the people here to be incredibly nice and helpful, for the most part.

*snip*
Sad to think of people having to slam others so deliberately. Personally, I can say I think the T thread has changed pretty dramatically. It had a reputation for being "mean", and I came over and started reading about the deals, but never posting. I had already been on SD for almost a year and had plenty of posts & reps, but there was a group here that was pretty scary.

Little by little, the T thread has become much nicer. I still think there are folks who don't read enough before they post, but maybe that's just me.

Legos are good for the boy, but at 8 girls get alot harder to buy for, IMO.
