I'm not sure, honey, it was just posted tonight and I read and compared the numbers with the old one - the possibilities for this q are scary though laugh out loud J/K Actually, I assume it will beep like the other one did b/c it is 2 TQ's on one product but, I don't know what Target's rationale is with much of their coupon decisions, so who knows. I read your post also! But I'm Confused about the implications? I haven't been able to "decode" the tq's and see any similarities with product bar codes or mfg codes. But is that what you are getting at?

What was the error as the link states? That they didn't realize everyone and their brother would use a free coupon at a store that everyone goes to and for toys that everyone buys? That is poor planning on their part and not fair to those who didn't even use the coupon yet. After all not everyone knows about SD or even other deal sites. This reminds me of the Juicy Juice coupon mess, and this is even worse because this coupon was meant for the general public.

Wow... that was really crappy of them (TRU). I had a feeling something was up when my store shelves were COMPLETELY empty of them... and I really don't think there are many SD folks in my area...
I went to TRU specifically for that darn train... and left empty handed (this was Saturday).

I know people who had this coupon who don't even use coupons regularly or visit any coupon sites. You say ToyRus, free toys (everyone goes to this store and has kids), especially with a bad economy and people get excited. Word of mouth and everyone would like to get a good deal for their child, and you can't really blame them. If they wanted to limit people they should have made the coupon bricks or sent coupons out in the regular mail.

I got tired of reading the Free Train Thread because it became a trading site for which Thomas trains people haven't collected yet and willing to trade. Mad I want the toy for my 3-year-old to play (as it was meant to be), not to have it sit there collecting dust for the 40-year-olds to boast.

I'm curious what Bloom stuff you've seen clearanced?? I've only seen it clearanced at one store (50% off)... I posted on the newly retired thread which ones (activity books & shopping game)... I'm wondering what else I might be missing....

I totally agree with you, I hope your 3 year old can get the toy! I personally never knew so many adults collected trains, and not just Thomas the train. Probably won't make you feel any better, but I didn't get any trains either. My daughter won't play with it at her age, and I don't collect, but I have many nieces and nephews who would have loved it.

Depending on your Jedi selection and store's leniency, there are now FOUR TQ's for Pampers diapers (and wipes). Whistling

My store would never go for it, but, then again, they've been taking both $5 store q's since they came out, so, who knows.

Yea. this really pisses me off and is bad for their business. They are not a competitively priced store in my eyes, and they just gave me one less reason to shop there.

And it also pisses me off that people ruin deals like these by clearing shelves within the first day. i'm not gonna lie, i was gonna go a couple of times, and get dd some thomas trains. She doesn't watch tv so she's not a big thomas fan , but they are cute toys and i know she would like them.

Quick question....vtech whiz kid?? Opinions??
