All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

To prints the Q I need some kind of special paper or any printer and any paper works fine?

Thanks
Any old paper, I even use the 10 pages of free target blue paper I got today at the kiosk. I might even be able to get enough free paper to never need to buy it, if I set my mind to thisbounce

Best to just give it a try and you'll have better luck if you are using quite a few coupons and not all expireds.

With all the talk about Kellogg's deal at Target, just thought I'd let people in the Rainbow Foods area know about their Kellogg's deal this week. We don't get the great grocery deals most people get in other places (and coupon doubling? hah), so this deal got me really excited laugh out loud

Buy 8 Kellogg's items for $20 and then get 2 vouchers for free milk (milk is 3.19 here)... so 8 items for 13.62! ($1.70 each)

I'm sure now you're going, big deal, it's 5 for $6 after I get my gift card! Well... this wasn't just the measly few items at Target - this was ALL Kellogg's cereal (big boxes of special K with berries woohoo), cereal straws, eggo waffles, eggo syrup, Nutrigrain bars, Tollhouse crackers, and Sandie's cookies. Add in various coupons and peelies... slick deal Cool

Only bad part is that it had an unwritten limit of 1 per order... as it was unwritten, they were very nice at the service desk to help us return/rebuy for the other 2 catalina vouchers for milk Smilie

Anyone freeze milk? Would love input on this Smilie

To keep this back on Target track... look out for $1 peelies on the cereal straws boxes for $1 off milk WYB 2 cereal straw packages. They didn't attach to milk for us.

Oh oh and because I'm in a rambling mood - a certain TRU coupon still worked today woot YMMV

If you mean, "can I buy a gallon-sized plastic container of milk and chuck it in the freezer when I get home?," the answer is no. At the very least, you have to free up enough space in the container so that it doesn't burst when the milk expands in freezing. It will expand by 9 percent, so you need to remove about a cup and a half of milk per gallon to prevent a flood.

The other possible interpretation of your question is, "does freezing (and thawing) diminish the quality of milk?"

The people who promote and sell milk do not want you to freeze it. According to the National Dairy Council, freezing causes "undesirable changes in milk's texture and appearance." The dairy council wants every glass of milk you drink to be fresh, cold, and delicious. It wants you to love milk. It doesn't want you (or your children) ever to associate splotchiness or graininess with a glass of milk.

And freezing milk does cause some degree of separation among its components. Skim and low-fat milk freeze (thaw, actually) better than whole milk, as there is less separation. You can shake the thawed milk vigorously or beat it in an electric mixer, but it still will not have the same "mouth feel" as milk that has not been frozen. The dairy board and other milk groups suggest that you might prefer to use previously frozen milk in cooking and baking, and save never-frozen milk for drinking.

There is some disagreement on how long you should keep milk in the freezer (ranging from three weeks to three months). Milk readily absorbs other flavors, so the sooner you get to it, the more likely it will still taste like milk. It should be thawed in the refrigerator, and will take a day or more for a gallon to thaw thoroughly.

that is the number of packs of diapers and wipes I have, just from this diaper deal. I plan on Craiglisting the wipes as I only use Huggies wipes.

My poor hubby helped me carry up the bags from the van and my downstairs entry way, the whole way up he was mumbling something...For better or worse, in sickness and in health. He told me I have a sickness, with all this Target shopping!

I have a couple friends who both reported back great results with freezing/thawing milk. One of my friends stocked up in March and is just now using the last of it. I froze it and did not have such great results BUT it was bc I did not thaw it well. I just put it in the fridge - you really need to put it in cold water and thaw it completely. It does separate (well, our whole milk did) so if you just let it thaw in the fridge first you will be drinking cream then by the end you will be drinking skim!! No problems here with explosion, funny taste or wierd texture.

Hey double, did you see that cute giraffe pool in next weeks ad? I sooo want it, but alas I live in an apartment, and have no yard. Even more torture is I live above a business, you guessed it a pool and spa store. I can look out my window and see all kinds of pools, just taunting me.

Wow! Good job on the diaper stock up!

I'm kind of glad I don't have any little ones in diapers anymore. I get 3 sets a run when I'm there and give them to family, but I don't feel like I have to be there 3-4 times a week, like I did with the P10 deal. I'd be burned out with 3 wks to go. laugh out loud

I posted this in the SF chat thread, but I thought I would share it here since you guys might find it funny as well.

So tonight Jason was making dinner (burritos yummy) and I was like this would be so good with salsa mixed into the beans (while simmering on the stove that is). He said he could add some into to the beans if I wanted and then I said I don't think we have any salsa. He was like Ariel, are you SERIOUS?!?!?!? I was like "yeah" and then it hit me...I have a HUGE BOX full of Salsa laugh out loud I had totally forgotten about the salsa since we mostly just use the con queso laugh out loud

No, the current deal, as posted, is not legit. That has been posted 100 times since this deal started. It is totally YMMV on getting them to take both $5 tq's and an etq, but people tend to miss those posts and only see that it has worked for some.

As for "attacking", if you are referring to me, I did not "attack" anyone. I was simply trying to send a strong message out to some people not to try and use ALL these coupons on the diaper deal. We all know damn well, someone would come on and see there are now 4 different diaper coupons and they will go out and try to use them all. Yeah, they might get a jedi to push it through. Then they'll come on here and post that they were able to use them all, which another SD'er will read and think "oh great, I can use all 4 coupons" and they will go out and try it and probably get shot down. Which will then cause the next SD'er that goes through that line, to have all their coupons scrutinized.

There has just been WAY too many stories lately of people's coupons getting scrutinized, AP being called over, cops being called, and the list goes on....
Nope shake head wasn't talking about you attacking me (I didn't see it that way at all) just reminding people (and your post reminded me of it) that the current deal is a total YMMV and is NOT legit before we get any notions that it is. And that is exactly what I was talking about. I'm never an advocate for coupon abuse - to each their own. That's why I said that I didn't even know if I wanted to post the info - b/c I know that it could/will be abused, but, I can't stop that and neither can you or anyone else. So, it looks like maybe we were both putting out the same PSA (public service announcement) Big Grin
