This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Hmm... I guess I have to check Staples out and see what I find. Seriously I hate to print anything on my ratty ol' HP now that I've seen the other side! Any thoughts on this printer? http://www.staples.com/office/sup...6#desclink

My HP products have been pretty good to me so I think I might stick with them.

The only thing I DON'T like about being off in the summer is not being able to print coupons off in my school's computer lab. I have no idea what kind of printer is in there, but it prints crystal clear, kickass coupons!!

weird thing happened today..maybe i am just paranoid...i go to the checkout lane, cashier switches off her light to indicate no more customers..good for me..immediately a guy with just a chapstick comes and stands behind me...there are other lanes open even the express lane...i was still unloading my cart and i told him that it will take me time, he was like i am fine..i even offered him to go in front of me and get his order done..he refused..he was very keenly looking at my stuff...i kept thinking he is some security guy in disguise..when i started handing my coupons i happened to turn and he was very interested in seeing what cpns i had...i was getting paranoid the whole time..and then the cashier told him politely to change his lane cause i would take time with my beeping coupons..boy was i relieved when he left even though my run didnt go as planned but that guy scared me...there were many many reds at the front desk today..
I would be careful of this as well, there are undercover trying to catch coupon fraud, so make sure you use legit Q's.Smilie

My school lab computers print crappy. They have it on the lowest quality setting, for printing a word doc or powerpoint slides its great, but the coupons look like crap. They do not print in color. I do not think they would scan.

Morning all, about to run out but just thought I'd say hi!

And an fyi, if you accidentally leave a bag of stuff at T, go to the CS desk, describe a few of the things you think were in it and what day it happened. They have a book, can check and will offer you a refund for the items that were in the bag. I guess they return the product to the shelf. Interesting, huh? Smilie

Quote from anepu :
If anyone is bored and has some accounting/finance background and want to help me Please take a look at this...

On January 2, 2002, Banno Corporation issued $1,500,000 of 10% bonds at 97 due December 31, 2011. Legal and other costs of $28,000 were incurred in connection with the issue. Interest on the bonds is payable annually each December 31. The $28,000 issue costs are being deferred and amortized on a straight-line basis over the 10-year term of the bonds. The discount on the bonds is also being amortized on a straight-line basis over the 10 years. (Straight-line is not materially different in effect from the preferable "interest method".) The bonds are callable at 101 (i.e., at 101% of face amount), and on January 2, 2007, Banno called $945,000 face amount of the bonds and retired them.

Instructions

Ignoring income taxes:

(a) Compute the amount of loss (rounded to the nearest dollar), if any, to be recognized by Banno as a result of retiring the $945,000 of bonds in 2007.

$

(b) Prepare the journal entry to record the retirement. (Round answer to the nearest dollar. List multiple entries in order of magnitude.)
Now this sounds really stupid, but if I wasn't running out the door right now, I would love to tackle this for you!

I only use B&W laser for most coupons. Some clearly need color, I have an epson inkjet for that, but I use it sparingly

Ugh Stormy, I feel for you. I once stopped short in the car and the coupon box was at the tip of the seat and fell over. I was sweating. It's a lot of work to put back together.

Didn't you do P10? How do you not have GC? I have enough for a long time if I don't buy anything huge and keep rolling

Since you have to redo anyway, go get a cheap brief case.

Was it someone on here that posted a picture of theirs? I almost used a brief case, but went with binders. Right after (and I mean like within a day or two!) someone posted the pics of their briefcase and really liked the looks of it.
