Item shipping from texas to los angeles.
Ground shipping takes 1 week to get halfway across the country.

UPS fat ass has been sitting on it since monday. Lazy asses working in Fort Worth.

Walmart said I'd get it by yesterday.

Never seen it this bad from UPS.

Fed Ex isn't so great either. Shipping from WOOT - California.....(I am in MD)

Tuesday - E-mail saying it will be delivered on Wednesday - checked online - expected delivery is Friday.
Friday - out for delivery
Friday - e-mail, not delivered due to weather (sunny, 68 degrees!! expected delivery - Saturday)
Saturday - nothing
Sunday - about 10:00am - a u-haul truck comes up the driveway and a kid (11-12 years old) hops out of the passenger side and places the package on my porch
Tuesday - e-mail telling me he package was delivered on Saturday (NOT!!)

What did you both order that you needed it so quickly? Moreover did either of you pay for expedited shipping? If you paid for express or other faster shipping, then I could understand being so frustrated. But I've had packages take a LOT longer than both of yours to get to me and/or to get to other people. One got bounced around the one Boston, MA sorting facility for over a week the one time I think.

As long as package gets to me I'm fine with it taking longer than a couple of days.

If your internet is a little slower than advertised, but as long as your stuff still downloads, are you ok with that? If it's ok for someone's package to take 2 days extra to get somewhere, surely its ok for your download to take a couple extra hours?

I didn't need it quickly and would have been fine with whenever it was delivered. What I object to is been told that it would be delivered on Wednesday, (it wasn't), then told it was on the truck for delivery on Friday (It wasn't - due to weather - too sunny??) and the final e-mail on the following Tuesday telling me it was delivered on Saturday, when it wasn't delivered until Sunday - by somebody's kid in a u-haul)

Sure. That's what I'm currently putting up with from Comcast. I even had a tech here this week and they couldn't figure it out. I may be OK with the slower than advertised speed for my surfing and other functions. But I probably will still call or chat and get a credit for the missing 25-50% of my speed that was advertised.

Never had much issue with UPS. FedEx has delivered to the wrong house, 40 miles off. And another left at the post office 30 miles away, telling me to go pick it up myself after they left it.

Most people I know have satellite Internet, "up to" 5 Meg is what's advertised. Less than 1 meg is common during primetime, congestion due to limited capacity. Complaining does nothing because speeds aren't guaranteed. New installs were closed for two years. It's really "fun" if you go over the 10gb monthly daytime cap on the $60 ($50+$10 mandatory equipment lease) plan, they slow you down more and limit things like downloads (but restore temporarily during free zone after midnight, which is even more congested). I'm in range of cell service, my home cell Internet is "up to" 4 Meg. I usually see around 2.5, uploads get really slow when the leaves come on, my signal booster can only do so much. Can't complain for $50, better than satellite.

edit: Just noticed the satellite company I mentioned is closed for new installs again. So, anyone wanting Internet further out than I am has a choice of only Hughesnet, that's it. I think some business plans might have some guarantees about uptime/speeds, but never looked into that, as they would be a LOT of money.

The ready for pickup scan is done by the shipper (Walmart) who likely throws it on a pallet with a bunch of other stuff headed to LA, once the pallet is full, UPS picks it up. So UPS didn't receive it until Wed. the 13th, which is what the 'origin scan' is for.
