Hey, guys. A while back, someone posted about a New 3DS deal from a new store called VIP Outlet, and there's been a few other topics related to the site that have posters with a decent amount of feedback/posts saying they had no trouble using them.
Anyway, I saw that the New 3DS listed above went back up on their site a few days ago and decided to take a chance on it (using a temporary virtual card number, of course), but my order was literally cancelled within a few seconds of placing it. I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, especially since the 3DS listing in question completely disappeared from their site after I tried ordering it, but I was checking my credit card account this morning and noticed that they still charged me for it. I don't doubt that I'll have no trouble getting it overturned, but it's still a minor hassle and obviously doesn't speak well for the trustworthiness of their site.
If anyone else notices a good-looking deal from them posted on here, be wary (if the fact that it's a new site didn't set off any warning bells already!). Here are screenshots of my cancellation email (note the date) and the charge that showed up on my credit card a few days later, if anyone would like proof of what I'm claiming:

I contacted VIP via email and after more than a week, I received an answer indicating that VIP's refurbished products are refurbished to company standards and are just as good as new. NO MENTION of the bait and switch that appeared to have happened. No other explanation or remedy whatsoever was offered. I responded indicating that my concern had not been addressed. Another week has passed without a reply.
In reading other reviews, it appears that VIP is an unscrupulous firm with very poor customer service.
BE WARNED, VIP does not appear to be a reliable firm to deal with. They falsely advertise products, namely in the practice of selling refurbished products as "brand new."
I will not purchase from VIP again.
WARNING: If it isn't already clear based on the dozens of other complaints, you should not deal with this company. Don't let the "customer service" agents in this thread fool you, they are simply offering empty promises in an attempt to look like they care without actually doing anything. Most Likely because anyone that googles "VIP Outlet" is met with a link to this thread telling them not to buy from them. Not sure what they expected would happen when they made promises they never intended to keep, but now it's clear that these complaints aren't isolated issues they are working to solve... just business as usual for VIP Outlet.

2. The upgrade of iOS is an Apple matter, and if it can or cannot be upgraded is entirely based on where Apple has the decided the cut off is for that model. You should do your own research.

My daughter recommended this company. She thought they were a branch of the Walmart Empire and sold refurbished products that were returned to their stores. I have always had excellent service from Walmart, I hope VIP Outlet doesn't let me down.

Only sign of use was the apple watch box was not sealed. Maybe I got lucky but they rate the refurb products and I bought as class A refurb which shows no sign of wear. Buying from eBay also adds another layer of consumer protection. eBay almost always sides with the buyer if there is a dispute. Very happy with vipoutlet!
