Hey, guys. A while back, someone posted about a New 3DS deal from a new store called VIP Outlet, and there's been a few other topics related to the site that have posters with a decent amount of feedback/posts saying they had no trouble using them.

Anyway, I saw that the New 3DS listed above went back up on their site a few days ago and decided to take a chance on it (using a temporary virtual card number, of course), but my order was literally cancelled within a few seconds of placing it. I didn't think it was a big deal at the time, especially since the 3DS listing in question completely disappeared from their site after I tried ordering it, but I was checking my credit card account this morning and noticed that they still charged me for it. I don't doubt that I'll have no trouble getting it overturned, but it's still a minor hassle and obviously doesn't speak well for the trustworthiness of their site.

If anyone else notices a good-looking deal from them posted on here, be wary (if the fact that it's a new site didn't set off any warning bells already!). Here are screenshots of my cancellation email (note the date) and the charge that showed up on my credit card a few days later, if anyone would like proof of what I'm claiming:

I ordered 2 beats for my kids and returned them because they were frauds. Then they never credited me. They are true scammers! DO NOT order from them if you want to keep your money!

Hi I also bought from vipoutlet.com via Walmart.com at Christmas time.. immediately upon ordering I realized I ordered the wrong item. I wanted to order the Samsung Galaxy Tab a with the S Pen but I ordered it without so I sent them an email right away and ask them did I order the correct item or not because it wasn't on my receipt what item I ordered. I waited and waited and never heard anything so I received the item and sent them a second email telling them I never received an answer to the first email and that this is my 2nd email asking how to get a refund. I got no response so I went back to send them a third email and that's when I found they had left a comment on my order on how to return the tablet but still never answered my question at all in an email. Had I not went back to send the 3rd email I would never had known how to return the tablet. Upon printing the return label I received an email from them asking if I needed any help..No I needed the help the day I ordered the item not 2 weeks later. 2 days after that I received another email about my original question apologizing for the late response..to little to late. Anyway I sent the tablet back and did receive a prompt refund.

I purchased a Toshiba laptop from VIP outlet which was listed on VIP's webpage as "brand new." This was for a Christmas gift so thinking it was new, I simply wrapped the box without opening it. Note: the emailed receipt also listed that the item was "brand new" so I had no reason to believe otherwise. When this gift was opened, a note was in the box indicating that it was in fact refurbished. I was embarrassed as I felt it made me look cheap.

I contacted VIP via email and after more than a week, I received an answer indicating that VIP's refurbished products are refurbished to company standards and are just as good as new. NO MENTION of the bait and switch that appeared to have happened. No other explanation or remedy whatsoever was offered. I responded indicating that my concern had not been addressed. Another week has passed without a reply.

In reading other reviews, it appears that VIP is an unscrupulous firm with very poor customer service.

BE WARNED, VIP does not appear to be a reliable firm to deal with. They falsely advertise products, namely in the practice of selling refurbished products as "brand new."
I will not purchase from VIP again.

Hello, We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you we would be happy to help you with any issues you are experiencing. I have sent you a private message so we could better communicate so that we could solve any problems that you may be experiencing.
You made a couple SMALL promises after I placed another order (against my better judgement) and never followed through with them. Emails have gone unanswered and phone calls go to a voicemail that is probably never checked. You come into this thread pretending to try to make right with your customers, but it's apparently all just empty promises.

WARNING: If it isn't already clear based on the dozens of other complaints, you should not deal with this company. Don't let the "customer service" agents in this thread fool you, they are simply offering empty promises in an attempt to look like they care without actually doing anything. Most Likely because anyone that googles "VIP Outlet" is met with a link to this thread telling them not to buy from them. Not sure what they expected would happen when they made promises they never intended to keep, but now it's clear that these complaints aren't isolated issues they are working to solve... just business as usual for VIP Outlet.

Greetings thank you for your feed back everyone....I just ordered an I pad air refurbished from VIP OUTLET through Walmart website to replace my sons current Ipad Air which currently is giving up on us. I am a homeschooler and we need an Ipad Air before our current one is no longer useful.... The reason I bought this Ipad Air 34GB is because the specifications states the condition to be : "NEW" which is what I am expecting...and because it has more storage. However after I purchased the product, I read, product feature is ios7 which now worries me along with some of these comments..... If this ipad cannot be upgrade to ios8 or ios9, I will have to cancel the order because he currently has ios8 and I don't want him to lose his work since some graphics need the ios8 or 9 upgrade...The model # to this product I ordered is MODEL# VIPRB-MD786LL/B....although its considered grade B, the Specification condition states: "NEW"...which again its what I am expecting otherwise I will cancel the order tomorrow when I call for clarity regarding the ios7 featured product.... some help and feed back is very appreciated regarding this new purchase for Ipad Air 34GB. I will be returning hopefully with great news and great updates... I Thank you.....Best Regards, Janice

1. There is no 34GB iPad Air. Only a 32GB or a 64GB.

2. The upgrade of iOS is an Apple matter, and if it can or cannot be upgraded is entirely based on where Apple has the decided the cut off is for that model. You should do your own research.

Thanks to you and everybody else, I won't be bothering with this company in the future! It appears that all they sell is used, disguised as refurbished. Well everybody knows what their "refurbed" means.

I wish I had seen this before I ordered my wife's laptop. It has been 3 days and it still shows up as processing in my VIP Outlet account. If I check the laptop on their site is shows "out of stock". She needs it for a trip next Saturday and I'm concerned if she will get what we ordered in working condition.

My daughter recommended this company. She thought they were a branch of the Walmart Empire and sold refurbished products that were returned to their stores. I have always had excellent service from Walmart, I hope VIP Outlet doesn't let me down.

All I can say is recently Walmart started offering this site to their associates as a benefit with an extra discount.

VIP outlet has been horrible for me so far, any customer service attempts have met literally 0 response, I email, no response for a few days and counting, even calling them just has me on hold for a little bit then a voicemail box to leave my email. What is going on?

I ordered from them through eBay. Got a series 2 watch version 2. got a good price, shipped via priority mail. Got it quickly. was immaculate. with box and all accessories. even the power cable had not been used or opened. so, thus far I am happy. its still under warranty. I guess it depends on the item. But through eBay you have a lot of support from eBay if something goes wrong.

Just echoing there post above. Bought a refurb series 1 apple watch via eBay for there lowest price around plus no tax or shipping.. Actually got a series 2 delivered fast and it appeared to be brand new. Wow!
Only sign of use was the apple watch box was not sealed. Maybe I got lucky but they rate the refurb products and I bought as class A refurb which shows no sign of wear. Buying from eBay also adds another layer of consumer protection. eBay almost always sides with the buyer if there is a dispute. Very happy with vipoutlet!
