I use this site, and others like it, to get cheap magazine subscriptions. I have been for about 5 years and have never been charged beyond the $2. All you have to do is cancel before the next billing cycle.
EDIT:
Original URL Seems to be broken: Please see alternative method below.
Alternative Link- You have to copy and paste (I don't know why) http://partner.techpapers.com/int...1&wp=12432
This link requires you to fill out 4 questions about your magazine habits first. It takes about 5 seconds. Magazine selection may be slightly different.
You can visit this link as many times as you want to select more than 5 magazines.
Simply put, each full year subscription (or in a few cases, partial year) is just $2 total. NOT $2 PER ISSUE, just $2 per magazine subscription.
Visit the link, select up to 5 magazines at a time. Enter your real info. Click submit. You will get an email reciept, and your magazines should begin arriving within "4-6 weeks".
Auto Renew: Yes, If you don't cancel, the magazines will auto renew at semi normal pricing ($50-75 annually). Unlike the $2 magazines provided through BizRate surveys, Blue Dolphin has entered the 21st century and sends you a nice EMAIL (Instead of a postcard) with a cancellation link about 20 days prior to the next billing date (345 days from your purchase). Cancellation is incredibly easy. You just click cancel in each email (one per magazine) and it takes you to Blue Dolphin where they will ask if you are sure you want to cancel. You say yes, they will offer you some deal, say no, I want to cancel. Then you hit cancel. A receipt for your cancellation will arrive in your inbox.
If you don't want to worry about auto renewal, you can always checkout with a prepaid debit card (Bofa, Amex, Visa, etc.).
After you cancel, you can just go back to this link and order the magazines you want again at the same $2 price. I have been doing this for about 5 years using Bizrate and Mybonuscenter, but Blue Dolphin is the easiest.
