there, now that we have my typo out of the way the meaning of my avatar is thus:
it's a man in an orangutan costume miming an escape from a zoo. it represents the struggle for freedom we all face. the struggle between man and nature. a reminder that man is not above nature. a reminder the japanese are nuts (it was photographed in japan). it means i like animals and hate zoos because they represent man's ubris -- a false feeling of man's control over the natural world. it means i like impromptu amateur theatre. it means i was obsessed with googling "zoo escapes" for a few months.
