Ok, I had a crappy ass day yesterday and just need to vent. So the brakes started going bad on my car and I swear it was like overnight and they were horrible. I had an appt. for Monday, but they were so bad I didn't feel comfortable waiting another day so found a place that would do it Sunday. took it in for an estimate.....$290.00!! We needed new rotors. I called dh and my brother (went to school for mechanics) they both said it was reasonable price, so get it done. So I pretty much spent all of our money on stupid new brakes and I couldn't justify spending $15-$20 bucks on papers when we're broke as a joke so no p&g q's for me. *sigh*
Work was horrible, rude, ignorant people seemed to be in abundance yesterday. Here's a clue....if you're student id is from like 2005 please don't argue with me when I won't give you the student price. and if it says student price WITH valid id, don't get pissy when I won't just take your word for it. (esp. when you look old enough to be my mom.)
The high point of my day yesterday....I got off work and decided to scope out the paper recycling bin. Found some inserts (no p&g
There are a couple I won't use (formula q's etc...) so if any of the regulars are interested, let me know. Not to be rude, but I would like to help out those who have helped me.
It kind of seems like crappy weeks are common around here this week lol. I extend my sympathies to everyone and the problems there having. I hope this week is better for everyone!!

I should also have said that when this was all happening, work was CRAZY (where is that crazy man smilie?), we were scheduled to go on vacation and I was working like a MAD woman. I even tried to work through it, getting sick in my trash can in my office between calls. So some of what led up to it being so bad was my stupidity.

I get that they're not 'official vectorized coupons.' Personally, I don't care what anyone wants to call them as long as they scan. I truly don't get it and I've mentioned it several times before. It just smacks of condescension and is rude. Can you imagine if the spelling geeks decided to start posting about people's posts? No thanks!

Thrifty-please don't stop posting, some of us can't use the ones that don't scan. My stores will not take a coupon if it doesn't scan, you can't punch the number in. You've been around for a while, don't let a few comments turn you into a lurker. People pick on everyone all the time around here for some reason.

As for the P&G inserts. Have you tried hitting up some gas stations or cenvenience stores on a Monday morning? You might be able to get some from the papers that haven't sold. I went to 5 stores today. One gave me one insert, and another let me have all 8 that were left. One store keeps the papers on the shelf until they come in on Fridays to pick them up. The other 2 looked at me like I had 2 heads and said they couldn't give them to me, but could sell me a paper. Yeah, ok. I might do that. NOT. Anyway, it's worth a shot to stop in and ask.

Also, the Easy Ups became my overnight diaper of choice when I realized that they hold alot more than one would expect and they go on so much easier. Also, they're on sale.

I'm glad that I have 2 places weekly that are very friendly about giving me their inserts.
There is one busy gas station that is nearest to me, but the chubby, curly-hair kid-face person (nothing cute in that descriptions) there is a stick-in-the-mud. One friendly gal told to help myself, and he turned around to argue with her. I was there at 9am Monday and the papers get picked up at around 11 am. Then, he had the gall to tell me to come back after 1 pm.
