This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Is this whole line of discussion really necessary? It's just my opinion, but I think What.. is trying to make a statement by veiling it in the question that was posed. We all get the idea. To begin posting runs and then having everyone pick them apart as to what is legit and what isn't will only cause this forum to be a miserable place for everyone.

My point is we all have different standards and approaches. Bickering over whose is right and whose is not is a waste of time!
Did I miss bickering??? laugh out loud Darn I always miss all the drama.

I agree that everyones definition of legit here is different. I DON'T think Whatalotofstuff was making a statement, I think it was a genuine question as she asked for replies in chit chat and this is probably why. I believe she said she wasn't opposed to overage items but didn't want to see use of expireds. Blah blah blah - I'm done but just wanted to make the point I didn't see any bickering and that she did ask a question.

On topic - Anyway, if anyone frequents the Goldsboro Target can you pm me? I'll be near there and wondering how the store is.

Well to be technical , a mod posted about a month ago that the posting of runs in this thread was not allowed anymore, everyone ignored them. I don't feel like searching for the post as it was 2 threads ago, but others will remember it.

This thread has a LOT of OT banter, I'm guilty of contributing to this as well. HOWEVER many users help to keep the wiki updated and post updates for those that don't want to rifle through all the pages. The posting of runs, and even coupons for trades helps others IMHO, many times readers of this board would not see deals if it was not for the posting of runs, etc. Also at the end of the day the posters of this thread,(the vast majority) find posts that are a little OT to be helpful. This is a community, most of us on here have relationships in one way with one another. I don't see you posting about OT banter when someone posts they have a baby. Why? Because many on here would find that to be news, and an informative post. Lighten up.

.............
I noticed we got bumped to Chit Chat so apparently someone thought this didn't need to be in the T thread, but my issue was not the OT it was the argument that I see ensuing from the whole line of discussion.

That's hilarious!

Here's a question, what can I use the bricks Johnson and Johnson save $1 on their Baby oil Gel q on? I dont know if Bricks went nuts in sending them to me, or I did and dont recall, but I got a few of them in the mail today. PM me with any suggestions.
If they start with a "0" (which I'm quite sure they do) they'll beep when you use them-- even on the right thing. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I never saw the mod post about not listing runs, must have been one of the weeks I was gone and missed it in the old thread. I try to read every post but it is impossibe if you are gone a few days, unless (at least for me) I read for hours on end and don't make dinner and ignore my family. I just don't have that kind of time, although somemosttimes I wish I did. I do find some of the OT posts helpful, most I don't mind at all.

The ones that I do mind are when the bickering starts. It is just so horribly annoying to read. It makes me want to comment as well, but then I never do because I don't want to add to the annoyingness.

I do hate those beeps! But sometimes they are worth it. Just have to make sure I have the right thing cuz they WILL look everytime.

A lot of the 'bickering' that I'm seeing is more venting from those of us who keep having crappy run after crappy run. Maybe I'm missing something which is quite possible. Big Grin

Walgreens deal -- Free razors

I have been getting free Schick Razors this week.
Schick Razors $5.99 * 8 = $47.92
- 4 BOGO ($23.96)
- 4 *2 MQs --6/22 RP ($8.00)
- 8 * $2 IVC ($16.00)

I think you are correct about instant value coupon but I think these are actually usually on a tearpad or something attached to the shelf where the product is??? At least a few months ago when I bought some vitamins that was the case. Someone will come along eventually and let us know. laugh out loud

You guys are all so close. NCmommy wins because she is the closest. IVC stands for Instant Value Coupon and they are found in the EasySaver Catalog which is found on the rack at the front of the store with the weekly ad. Sometimes Walgreens makes little tearpapds of these coupons and puts them by the product on the coupon. You don't even have to cut the coupon out of the booklet just have the page marked and show them which IVC you want scanned. If you are buying multiple whatevers in one transaction you only need to have one IVC coupon and it will scan and attach to ALL the eligible products in that transaction. HTH.

This is a great run, but I wouldn't consider it completely legit because of the Goodlife (size restrictions), woolite, fur fighter and $5 durex coupons. I'm not judging at all but I think Whatalotofstuff is looking for completely legit in all aspects of the coupon.
You are right, of course. I guess I wasn't thinking. Taking out that stuff brings me from 74% savings to 60%. I did not take out the Fur fighters, as I did buy the starter kits. I didn't want any beeps, and I need them!!!! Think one large German Shepherd and one gigantic Newfoundland. laugh out loud laugh out loud

I actually just found out today that the durex q's were not correct. I've been on vacation.

*snip* And isn't the cheese coupon expired? Not sure. As usually Momma is rightnod
It is now. It wasn't when I did these trips in June. One line I never cross is ETQ's. Too much hassle.

Just want you to know I DEFINITELY wasn't flaming or judging. I completely agree that everyone definitely has their own view of what "legit" means to them. I have read a lot of Whatalotofstuffs posts and I just could tell that she was looking more for what our worst nightmare lod would consider legit. laugh out loud
