I finally met my match today at T. Cashier refused to take a T and a MQ coupon together saying "we won't get reimbursed for this" ... she wasn't wearing a name tag and refused to call over a supervisor... I left - emailed corporate. I did not want to deal with her I'm so mighty with my bright gold eyeshadow attitude and I didn't care enough to deal with it at the store - didn't need the stuff I was trying to buy anyways (better to save money by not buying then spending money to get things cheap
I have yet to find one...

Ok - on with the show.......
First, Mamajayjay gets the prize for the very first entry! It looks like a 1982 Golden Book coupon for $.15 off a book that cost over $1.50. Seems like an expensive book for the time! And note the handling fee.... $.07!!!! Can you believe the handling fee has only gone up $.01 in over 25 years!!! Unreal!! See post #48 for this 'golden' beauty
Next, Gotta love Bronc's 1954 entry for Pillbury's "points" coupon. Did anyone have any idea that coupons were even around over 50 years ago?!? From what I understand, a loaf of bread was like a nickel back then - could you even imagine?!?
Finally, I definately need to give a prize to lpagel for coming up with the funniest coupon - c'mon, can you believe that there were even coupon fraud issues back in the 70s??? See post #372 in this thread for the now famous Bounce coupon with the most interesting disclaimer: "Don't embarass your dealer by asking to redeem coupons without making the required purchase of this brand"..... thought the SDers came up with that idea, huh? How interesting that it was P&G that came out with this verbiage!!!
