When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! not to mention they tend to be the smash 'n grabbers. and also.. if someone has been supposedly been reading up on the thread for a while you'd think they wouldn't be writing on a public board that which is warned of in the wiki. it's like saying, "i'm a n00b.. and here's my scam of a contribution, even though i've read everything and know the rules of the thread." Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)
I lurked for forever before I actually posted...I read everything and pretty much figured it out...of course that was CVS...I thought I had target figured out because I could read between the lines on a few thingsBig Grin ...but I am realizing that I still haven't totally figured it outLMAO In any case I think I only ever had one PM not answered, and that was from someone I didn't recognize. Devilmomma, Pretzels, MamaRo, Trang and so many more ALL answered my questions and were very helpful. I think if new people took the time to read first they would get it...the diaper deal has been spelled out at least a thousand times (I may be exaggerating a little bit)...

BTW, hi everyone! I know I've been MIA for almost a month. Doubt anyone was dying to know why Teehee but I'll tell you anyway. I've been completely out of it, so tired and exhaused and pretty much vomit all the time because. . .

I'm pregnant! Smilie

I got so much good advice from you all last month about buying the pg tests, so I went to the dollar store about bought four of them. Turned out I wasted $3. Smilie Whoever said a 34 year old whose been on the pill for 11 years straight couldn't get knocked up w/in two weeks of "trying."

So I'm 11 weeks more or less and the due date is February 15th. I really really can't wait until the 1st trimester is over b/c everyone keeps promising me I'll feel less crappy then and I really hope that's true but besides that everything is good. Got to hear the baby's heartbeat at my first appointment last Tuesday; that was quite heart heart

Hope you all are well, and thanks again for all the good advice. wave
Yay, congrats to you and hubby. Hmm anyone know of a good diaper deal for you

It is incredible to me that you 2 think you have all Newbies pegged. Have you ever given any thought to the idea of someone closing one acct and opening a new one? Over and over I have read, "Where is whee?" "Where is bjhac?" "Where is so and so?" Do you think it is possible that they get sick of people constantly asking them to do things so they just start fresh with a name no one would tie to them? They were always helping people, weather they were new or not. Maybe ya all should learn from them.
I don't think anyone is saying they have ALL newbies pegged. It is very possible for someone to be a newbie here who has tons of experience at another site. And yes, it could be true that someone who is new here is someone who started a new account, although from what I hear the mods monitor that quite a bit.

Some of the ones you mention were very helpful to the community as a whole, but I can promise you this, when I started out reading the Target thread, the group was MUCH harder than what you see now. There are many posts there now that would NEVER have been allowed for under the group that was 'ruling the thread' back then. And there wasn't near as nice of a chat group then either.

Ok...if this was the T thread I would take the high road and keep my mouth shut, but it's not, it's the chat so I can say what I please.

I NEVER said I had newbies pegged and if you would have taken two seconds to READ what I said you wouldn't have come back with the crap that you did. and your statement was so full of hypocrisy it's not even funny. So if I get sick of helping people (Which I have and will continue to do so) then I should just create a new user name?? lol what a joke. I don't have a problem with helping people...I do whenever I can. I have raok'd more q's that I have probably used b/c I'm here to help and be a part of the deals, not just expect everyone to spell everything out to me.

So you lesson today is this:

Newbies are people that can do runs with the best of us, but don't contribute jack
If I get tired of helping people, I should just create a new account and be done with it.
oh and let's not forget...only read half of what people say and assume they are being b*tches. Smilie

Ok...sknsam I hope you don't mind me using you as an example...it's in a good way I promise!

But skynsam is a relatively new name to me and is the quintessential newbie. She contributes, she is friendly, she asks educated questions, and she reads.

i'm giving you the newbie of the month award lol.

If more people were like her we wouldn't have to have these discussion every freakin week. I know I should take the high road and ignore the comments, but come on, I don't really think anyone is being elitist and asking for all that much of newbies.

we none of us ever said all n00bs. we are saying n00bs (and lurkers!) tend to take more advantage of deals and over-do them, which ruins it for all. we are also saying because of this, we are sometimes watchful of what we say and who we say it to if we get pm'd about it. not to be offensive or anything, but we don't know newcomers to the thread from john doe. we know nothing about you or what you're motives are until you've made some posts and been around for a bit. can you honestly say that in this day in age of target coupon crackdown - that you'd make things 100% easy set on a platter for n00bs, only to turn around and end up getting raked over the coals at your stores because the person you helped went overboard? you might be leary too, so please try to see things through our eyes as well.

also, the only reason i went so negative about you was i found it rather hypocritical you want to 'help' the thread to grow, and then post a non-legit deal pertaining to salsa. there's a reason why it's posted right in the wiki not to discuss it; the coupon is altered, not real, and as such anyone who uses it places themselves at great risk. perhaps you didn't know that. now you do. posting about it makes other users who are unaware of its origins believe it is okay - which it is not. and why its forbidden to discuss. (pm is your discretion)

so please. i do not want to fight or continue on this particular discussion. if you take nothing else from this post, please heed the above about that particular coupon.
