My Phd is in English/American literature and I teach at a large state university. My job is 1/2 time so I normally teach two classes in the fall and get the spring off. (A normal load is 2 classes each term.)
So I'll be teaching in the fall and then not in the spring (which is good since my due date is Feb. 15th), but then I'll have next fall off for my maternity leave. So it all works out pretty well-- almost a full year off teaching to be with the kiddo before I have to go back.
I do want to go full time when they can afford to pay me but for now, this is actually working out pretty well.

So for any of you in this area, beware of this store! There was some decent clearance, but coupons are going to be scrutinized to a ridiculous level. In fact, it isn't worth it to me if I can't use coupons.
Not that there is anything wrong with that--but cashiers and store employees have a DIFFERENT mind set. Did you know that walmart gives an "ETHICS" test? I'm sure target does too. I failed it

Got my arse out early today to go for the are-arse deal. Super excited to see the are-arse are still spitting out as planned. (say all that real fast 5 times.)
I did one cool thing....I needed one extra item for 10 items for the rebate b/c i was doing 4 cereals and 5 snacks. They had yogo's on clearance for 1.99...used the $1.00 off q so only .99 and I get my $10 rebate!!
Here's a question.....at the first store we went to I had my friend (i'm showing her the way lol) do the special are are deal....I was only half paying attention and I see the lady give her her are are's (or so I thought) and then stick a catalina on the side of her register....I was like hmm ok maybe it wasn't an are are....until we went to the next door and she did the EXACT same freaking thing and got both are are's. I'm pretty freakin mad about it, but I didn't want to call and ruin it for everyone, ya know?? But could I call Sunday when the deal is over? lol I just think it's sucky.....it's like cash, so if they are willing to steal those what else are they willing to steal?
Other than that I'm sitting here wallowing in self pity....kind of goes with the whole do you wish you were single and kidless. Dh was in a wedding today, I had to skip the ceremony b/c dd wouldn't behave, so we went to the reception....and I was too busy trying to keep dd occupied it just wasn't any fun. Finally when she really started getting crabby dh said "oh well you know so and so said they could give me a ride home." I just got so frustrated and upset I said Fine, and I grabbed dd and her stuff. And the dipshit goes "what are you doing?" Uhm...I'm leaving, I'm not an idiot I got the hint. I feel like I'm being selfish by getting upset b/c it's his friends wedding and he should stay and enjoy himself, but times like this it really hits home just how far away my family and friends really are. He has friends and goes out and does stuff....uhm I go shopping. The girl I went with today was a friend from work...that should I ever leave that job we would probably never talk again. So sorry to bore you guys with my self pity, I'll get over it

Do I have to get four of the same exact items that are listed as 4/$10 (and in the same respect, five same items listed as 5/$10) or can I mix and match items from that price point, so long as I get four (or five)?
