lol I will but I want to lose a little more than that lol.

I think I have a love/hate relationship with shopping. Today was MY day...left at like 3:30, cleaned out the car, met a friend at kmart at 4:30 and then spent the next 4 and a half hours shopping....get home and dd is ready for bed so don't really get to see her...so now I feel bad. I got dh a desk and a bunch of other crap...spent $70 not bad b/c the desk was $125, but now I'm having shopping guilt...should I really have spent $70 and is it really worth it to miss 5 hours with dd???

17 envelopes to go out in the mail tomorrow. I spent half the nigth doing that, I didnt get any q'cut or sorted and I am going to Target tomorrow.

Oh and there is no chocolate or diet coke in the house.
That was me last week. I sent out around 20, was nice to get rid of q's but how come there is still a pile here?

went to KM and my grocery store and ATM and to get gas. Get home and DS is screaming with DH trying to calm him down. Kid is high, we can't get his blood, which makes it worse. Finally get is blood, calm him down and I stay in there till he falls asleep with his hand on his crystal light. Poor kid.

I can't believe I'm out of jello coupons, I got 30 in the mail this week. I think I need to go to my car tomorrow, count how many crystal lights are left and just frickin order the exact amount of jellos I need to get them. I'd do it right now but I'm scared to walk around the house and wake him up

I have always wanted to be the kind of person that LOSES weight when stressed! I am definitely a stress eater. Well actually I am just an emotional eater all around - I eat when I'm happy, sad, mad, stressed, lonely, etc. etc.
Ok Jen - let's do this! Anybody else on board? And actually I would LIKE to lose 12-15 pounds, but right now I would just be happy if I could lose what I gained over the summer!

wave Hi ya'll!!

Hope everyone had a great shopping day.

I am looking for someone to trade with me. I went to CVS and got the 30.00 gift card for new script. I don't shop at CVS. I know I should, but just can't wrap my brain around it and don't really have time!! Anyway-- i would love a target giftcard in it's place. My husband wants the I-touch, so I am trying to accumulate giftcards to help cover the costs.

I know all of you shop at target (Target chat), but know that many of you also shop at CVS. I would greatly appriciate the help!

I'm home....
So in response to everyone ~ yes I wanted to tell her I'm tired of this crap and don't want/have to deal with it, just stay at home and let me and dd have all the fun. But yes, she had my child and yes I want to stay civil for dd's friendship. It's not her dd's fault her mother married a freakshow.

I got one more phone call while driving there this morning and she was worried again but that she would go anyway. Whatever. I still have to meet her to get my dd.

I pull up and tell her before we go in I have something to say. She's like oh crap. I tell her that I'm walking into the waterpark with my dd and if she decides to join us that she needs to know that it is her decision to walk into the park. I don't care if her dd gets sick, cracks her head open or falls off a waterslide I am not to blame for anything that happens today. She is a grown woman who needs to make her own decisions and I'll be damned if I'm going to be the woman with the scarlet letter that dragged her ass to the waterpark and forced her to go in and catch some funk because some parent decided to let their child crap in the pool while they were sick. And that I didn't want to hear it if anything happened. I don't live in a glass house and I'm not going to be paranoid about everything and life goes on. I'm still going to eat steak medium rare, I'm still going to get bitten by mosquitos, I'm still going to go swimming at waterpark that I don't know if they have gotten the funk. I would never put my dd in harm's way intentionally, but I'm also not going to raise a freak who is paranoid to walk outside because something bad could happen and I'm not raising her to be a dependent woman who has to answer to others when she is a grown woman. I tell her she has chosen her life and I'm not aware of all the details but that this incident has caused me much concern and that I'm completely uncomfortable in this situation.

She apologizes profusely and tells me that her dh just wanted us to be fully aware of the dangers and expressed his concern about us going out. That she did some research on the internet and showed him that it should be fine. He still didn't agree but by this morning, he said she could go but that he still wasn't happy with it and that was good enough for her so here she is. She said she called her ex before she called me and asked if he would have a problem with her taking dd to the waterpark and he said of course not. She said she needed to hear that because if she got sick that he could always fight for custody if he wanted. Now she was ok and was willing to take the chance we won't all get sick. So we paid and went in.

Her dd was TERRIFIED of getting the water in her mouth and was a mess for the first little bit. One time she was splashed in the wave pool and about came unglued crying that she was going to die if any of that water got down her throat. That she tried to spit it out but was unsure if she got it all. You could tell she had heard all of the discussion/arguments and it was sad. Later I told my dd in front of friend and mom when my dd was starting to get the worried looks that if she was going to start acting all paranoid we were out of there that I raised her to be smart and independent. That she needed to make her own decisions and that no one could tell her what to think/do (except her mom and dad of course) and did she really think that there would be hundreds of people at a waterpark if there was an actual scare of everyone getting sick here. Wouldn't they close the park if they were concerned. I told her we can take precautions like wearing a seatbelt but that we couldn't guarantee that we wouldn't be in a car accident. etc etc to enjoy the day and just don't drink the water, which of course she never does so why worry now. The mom and friend just stared at me.

After that, her dd said one more thing about what if.....and her mom quietly said I think we are going to be ok so stop being so worried. She is really the nicest person ever and I think that she forms the opinion of anyone around her. It was me while we were at the park and will be her husband when she gets home. He just happens to be the man of the house and in that house it means that he gets to make all the rules. And what he says becomes her ideas. I still don't get it. I'm glad this day is over. I'm mentally exhausted.

I never discussed anything else with her. It was a good day after that. It wasn't the time or the place either. I'm just seriously going to have to keep my eye on this family if my dd continues to have such a good relationship with her dd.

Thanks for all the input. And yes my dh would be seeing the doormat if he tried to pull any of this crap. And hopefully in 4-5 days we will still be well and not living in the bathroom!! Or else this saga continues....
