so i'm sitting here at the desk minding my own business and all of a sudden i hear chirping at our living room window. i look over, and what the heck. there's a butterfly inside our apartment going insane trying to get out (and can't with the screen in the way). outside the screen is a bird flying and trying to peck the butterfly through the screen. lol
there is a substantial hole in the screen where my son had sort of ripped it. it's large enough to pass a soda can through. i'm thinking the bird must have been on the hunt and the butterfly accidentally found refuge in here.
(i'm actually surprised the bird didn't try to follow suit through that same hole!)
so i watch them for a few seconds. eventually the bird gives up and flies away to seek other prey. the poor butterfly is still trying to get out. i got a container from the kitchen and put it over the butterfly, then slid a paper between the screen and the container. then released it back outside. i'm sure it's grateful now that it gets to live another day.
but now in hindsight i wish i'd grabbed my cam sitting here and photographed it. it was neat and funny watching the bird trying to get in and snatch the butterfly.
ya he is fine..he thinks it is a game...i dont even know where these kids get these ideas...i got chocolate at cvs today...thanks but i dont drink soda...hey stormy or anyone else with kids do you guys have those little battery operated cool looking ride on vehicles..i think kawaski little quad or something like that...

I want to move away from the south, at least until the weather cools down. And now the tropics are getting busy and it looks like storms could be coming our way, so more headaches and sinus/ear infections for me...I really miss Seattle~
