wave Hello everyone! Sincere thanks to all of you that have sent the Durex rings, great qs and kind note/letters/pms/emails/reps. hug Please can someone pm me any good deals/ideas if you have used the new T toy qs/and or $5/35 Mossimo /Cherokee qs that were sent out.
We went to OD to recyle some inkjet cartridges last night. You get a $3 OD q for each one,up to 25 once per week, and can use 3 at a time($9) once per day ymmv. We bought some 110 lb. white Xerox card stock paper for $15.00/250 sheets-$9. Believe it or not I have never used this for my IPMQ"s . It is nice and thick/heavy.nod

Just a question and not directed at anyone in particular...but, I often hear "it is the cashier's job to inspect the coupon", but when the cashier does her job and inspects coupons and tries to match them up with product, we get bent out of shape and feel we are being treated like a "criminal". Why is that? If our runs are "legit" with all legit coupons and items, why do some feel like they're being treated like a criminal, when the cashier is only trying to do her job? I'm just curious on people's reactions. If anyone would like to comment, let's move it to chat. In fact, I'll copy this post over to chat

Again...I'm not throwing stones or pointing fingers.....I am far from perfect in my shopping ways. I was just curious on what people thought. Smilie
I'm with you DM, not chastising anyone either but when I have a bad run where I get denied coupons, I'm not mad at Target or the cashier or anyone. I'm bummed that I didn't have a good run but I certainly can't blame a person for doing their job. I DO sometimes get upset over the way the cashiers or LOD's handle a situation. I've mostly had my coupons graciously declined and I have no problem when that happens as I would hope most of us would react as well. It also does upset me when I have overage items and they state that they can't/won't adjust the coupon down since that is supposed to be there policy. Even with the email, I've had them say that it doesn't apply to travel items, etc.

These are the one for the Glade scented oil warmers. These Qs make them free or pennies at lots of places: T, WM, Dollar General, I know for sure. There are various deals you can put together if you do the WAG ESR as well, where you will make a few $$ using the Qs and their rebates.

My 2 about coupons---

IMHO a lot of the problems started with the "decoding." Folks started using, say, a soap coupon on pet food. The manufacturer put out a soap coupon because they want you to buy soap. Same thing for the dearly departed T Toy Q. A lot of people didn't even buy toys and used the coupon on purchase of other products.

A coupon practice that really gets on my nerves is the usage of a BOGO q and only getting 1 item. You are supposed to buy 2 and get a full deduction on 1 of the 2.

Flame away....

I don't feel like a criminal. And I've never been treated like one. But then again, I don't have $175.xx brought down to $10.xx on my shopping trips, either. Not trying to offend anyone because I basically don't know how anyone shops here or what their numbers are, but to me - that is a red flag and would grab major attention at my stores. *snip*
I think it's possible to do that legitimately every once in a while, if you have a coupon for EVERYTHING (and no husband or kids to sneak other things in the cart) and possibly some of the $/$$ coupons which some people get in the mail or off ebay.

I posted yesterday that i used the exp diaper coupon. ( it exp 7/31) I don't know if it was directed at my post--however thought it was very common practice for people using expired coupons for 30 days. I know that the newer coupons do beep expired 30 days after the exp on the coupon.

I see multiple people asking for coupons that were just recently pulled from other sites. Am I missing something here???

This was a Target coupon I was referring to using, not a manu.
I wouldn't worry about it. Many of us are using the recently exp coupons for the 30 days they will go through and I don't think anyone was directing anything just at you.

Ok but common sense would tell me, "Hey, these companies are professional and they are only open to make money." If a Q expires but the computer still takes it up to 3 and beeps on the 4th one then they must have it set up some how that they will make their money no matter what. I am pretty sure that's the reason it will only take 3 ETQ'S. Maybe they get reimbursed up to 3 ETQ on 1 cashed out receipt. IDK but that would make sense to me!
Most mfg coupons will scan indefinitely and Target will definitely not get reimbursed for the ones that are very expired.

I think a lot of it has to do with cashier/ lod attitudes. I can't say anything for lurkers, but I don't think there are many posters in this thread attempting obscene crap with their coupons. ie, there might be 'similar product substitution' but not a whole lot of completely stupid crap like CWS. That said, I coupon to my own comfort zone and for the most part avoid putting stuff in my cart that I'll have to explain away for the coupon I'm attempting to use on it.

on the other hand some of the posters experiencing issues weren't trying to 'pull anything' at all and were humiliated in front of other customers over nothing. it can be frustrating when a cashier can't remember a single thing they had just scanned 2 seconds ago so have to go fishing before scanning every coupon. if its a large order i can understand how they may not remember everything the customer bought, but come on seriously they can't remember ANYTHING at all that went across that scanner? and the ones that do this are completely rude, total jerks and coupon nazis about it. shake head vomit

if not that, how many of us have heard the 'one per purchase' crap? or overage coupons cannot be adjusted? printable target coupons can't be accepted. or coupons that beep can't be accepted even if its the exact right item (even pictured!) on the coupon? Mad

its unnecessary and inconsiderate (a lot of time-wasting) both to the customer and others behind them to be this extreme to someone just because they use coupons.

but yeah, dm, i do agree that to some extent some of us perhaps do things that may/ may not be completely kosher, and thus get bent out of shape. but on the other hand, at this point some of the measures target is taking are just going too far over the line and in several cases there was no reason to be so at all.
