bummer. i hate going to the dentist and now i have to take him. but at least now i know what i should do about it. thanks you guys!
hmm.. do you think if i wiggle these front teeth a lot i'll be able to get'em out? or would a dentist absolutely be required to extract them?

He is getting his adult teeth early, my DD got hers really early too (baby teeth did come out without going to the dentist).
Getting her adult teeth was good and bad in a way. The bad part is she was still pretty young to take really good care of her adult teeth so the dentist told me to be sure to keep helping her brush and floss. One of the problems when adult teeth come in early especially molars there is more chance for decay just because young kids have a harder time brushing and flossing well.
The good part for us was her molars also came in early so when she needed braces she could get them early as well. Her eye teeth came in very high so there were big gaps where they should have been and you could see the pointy tops of them sticking out. Your sons are in the inside of his teeth and hers were on the outside so they made a bulge in her upper lip area. Her front teeth were also pushed forward to far and one boy would call her beaver teeth & crowbar. She was just starting to get teased about her teeth at school and be very self conscious about her smile, practicing smiling with her mouth closed and not wanting us to take pictures of her smile, very heartbreaking!
They can and will put braces on kids now as soon as they get 4 permanant molars in. She had just turned 8 when she got braces and she still had baby molars but she had 4 permanant molars to band and ancor the braces to.
Her eye teeth started to come down really quickly and within 4 to 6 months her teeth looked almost straight. As soon as she got the braces on she said no one teased her at all and all the kids were jelous, no one else in the whole school in 3rd or 4th grade had braces and they all thought they were really cool. She still had to wear braces for 2 years and is now in 6th grade and she just got them off and she smiles with pride. I didn't even get braces until I was in 6th grade and endured years of ridicule. I am so glad she didn't have to go through that.
They even have these new retainers that look like those invisaline braces. They are very good at helping to retain teeth position because they wrap all the way around the teeth and after three weeks of constant wear (except when eating) they only have to be worn at night. This is great news, she leaves them in the case at home and we don't have to worry about her misplacing them at school.
I hope your son does not need braces but if he does just wanted to let you know they can do it as soon as he gets 4 adult molars.

Never used a coupon at the Evanston T while I lived there (was my pre couponing days) - but after having been to dozens and dozens and DOZENS of Ts all over the country, it is by far the grossest and ickiest store out there that I've found. Nothing is where it should be, they rarely seem to restock, very understaffed, stuff is just thrown around on aisle floors sometimes... checking out? Bring a book.
