Thanks, I'm here all week! hehe

What is this about another website???? You are Cheating on us??? The nerve! Yea yea...do other things on your list....just another excuse to get back to your clandestine affair. hehe

(Can ya'll tell I'm bored and too lazy to clean off the bed and go to sleep?)
haha website for diabetes stuff. Definitely not one you want to be on. But I'm spending more time there than SD these days. Partially because there really are no deals to discuss on the T thread, just a bunch of BS. Didn't someone say that we all wanted pampers to be over but once it was we would want it back----that's where we all are right now!!!!!

I have so many kraft tearpad stuff it's oozing off hubbys workbench downstairs. Will need to make another pile somewhere else. Many more to go, those are so much fun.

OK now I'm gone. Was just waiting for a funny comment back from Jen

You know what really angers me about this whole thing?? The q's were to help our fam's save money (their words, not mine) and we should have used them by now. Uhmmmmm you wanna know why I didn't use them yet?? Because I was busy spending time with my family. dd has really been acting out lately and so I've been spending more time with her, taking her to the park, or for walks, or just playing with her to see if she was just seeking more attention. Tomorrow will be a week with no shopping for me. Wayto be hypocrites.

The one I was referring to was the Target printable one that's expired now. I thought that's what the OP was referring to. I didn't know there was a Colgate target peelie.
I found the colgate TQ inside the bonus packs themselves Smilie They are not peelies but if you open the box of the free toothpaste, there are two coupons there. One for toothpaste and one for toothbrush. Both Target Qs Smilie They expire 2009 I think... I'll try them if I find the bonus packs and let you know Smilie I went to target earlier and all they have were the Aquafresh ones Smilie Hopefully I find more of the colgate packs soon Smilie

not to interrupt all of the b crap but I would like to smack dh lol.

He decided to put his desk together today...yay! So everything that was in that corner of the room is now on the bed (lots of stuff, office stuff, computer, etc...) and uhm he just fell asleep for the night on the couch. Uhmmmmm thanks jerk! lol

Trying to decide if I should attempt to put the rest of the desk together.
Just had to reply and say if my DH did this, I'd pick up the pieces of the desk and stuff and dump them on him, on the couch.

Oops, sorry, were you sleeping?? Wink

lol normally I would be super pissed and fuming, but he was up all night in pain...he has his 5th wisdom tooth coming in EEK! EEK! He has an appt. on Thursday to get it pulled and he needs two root canals. His mother was supposed to watch dd today so he could get some sleep while I was at work...she canceled as I was getting off at her exit. now that made me mad lol.

i'm a huge baby when it comes to teeth pain, so I have total sympathy for him.

I just spent the last half an hour signing up to get q's mailed to me lol.

.Just as an FYI, he does lurk in chat. Sent me another sarcastic PM this morning. For the record, I have never sent him a PM, here's what he sent me titled:

Quote: "Frickin waste of a post that guy is"

Then why do you keep posting, and PM'ing?

I know why.....Love

I hope all the gleaming free stuff from other posters is going well. I give you mad props for that, really good job. I would have never have thought of that, you must be swimming in all the scammed stuff you got from them. Ohh well to each his/her own. Good luck with all that..... See ya in chat. End Quote.

Yup, everyone really wants to scam test strips and lancets, lots of fun taking blood out of your kid every day. Which I'm on my way to take him to the doctor right now. See y'all later.
Quote from teri037 :
He's a psychopath. Anyone that would send nasty pm's because a mother is trying to help a sick child can be nothing BUT a psychopath. I wouldn't even open any more pm's from him. Just forward directly to a mod. Hope everything goes well at the doctor today.
Hmmm...methinks I need to modify my signature to include a certain someone as THE definition of asshat. This clearly rises to new standards of asshattedness..."scamming" stuff? For the love of Mary!

Some folks ought to watch it with the Google Earth stuff...ya know, there's anti-stalking laws on the books in many states, and ISPs are VERY easy to track nowadays.

Many are mighty Superman when they're talking their smack from behind a keyboard.

DS, sorry to hear of your boy's troubles---and if I can become one of your "scam-ees," please let me know via PM and I'll do what I can.

Peace

Is anyone really surprised that this happened? I mean REALLY? They were so shady from the start, (with even the Venus picture from circa 1999 on the $16 coupon...) and all the same manufacturer codes...

I didnt try to use these and Im glad. I just feel bad for the retailers who are the ones who are really going to get screwed here...Well in the end WE are the ones who are going to be screwed when everyone stops taking internet printed coupons....

I just did for you lol

My post:
and then there are the people like me that did not use the q's until YOUR company ASSURED us that they were in fact legit and now we're just sol b/c we didn't jump and use them without verifying the validity?? No, you stated your position quite clearly. YOUR company did not properly do their job and are doing a very poor job of fixing YOUR mistake.

ok...which one of you is from waco tx?? lol
Ahem. I'm not from Waco (but I know who that is, and she is a SD'er), but I did post just before the whole farking thing disappeared and commented that there is at least one email that I know of in which "Mark" not only verifies the legitimacy of the q's, but concludes by saying "tell your friends," and "Have fun!"

Right after that, I mean mere moments, the whole discussion/comments area went kerflooey (sorry, if it was me).

I think these asshats have a rude awakening coming to them when the retailers, manufacturers, coupon clearing houses, FaceBook, and the (proposed) class action suit come a callin'.

Hmmmm, now I can almost totally re-define asshat for my sig. #1 can be Lord V (or whomever), and #2 can be Check It Out aka vrylmkt...but I'll allow McCain to stay at #3.

No flames from me...I agree wholeheartedly. I see this incident, or something just like it, as being the death knell for ALL internet coupons (or, at least, for their acceptance at major retailers).

HOWEVER, that being said, I think that vyrlmkt is going to be on the hook to reimburse retailers for these. Despite what they claim, there is ample evidence that they told many people in writing that the q's were legit and to enjoy using them...and when that usage became widespread, they panicked and came up with the hacker story. The fact is, the coupons have an expiration date, and there is NO WAY to differentiate between the ones that were printed directly from the Check It Out application and those that were disseminated by other means---so, as long as the retailers have followed the terms of the coupon (i.e. correct item, can "prove sufficient stock" whatever THAT means), then vyrlmkt WILL be liable to reimburse them. I'm 99% certain that no court or jury in the land would find otherwise---especially since the "legit" coupons can't be told apart from the "hacked" ones.

Just my two cents, of course...YM(and opinion)MV

Ok, I just wanted to lighten things up a bit... since the recent talk of freezer disasters and stocking up on meats, etc, it reminded me of something funny. I grew up in LA and would often see delivery trucks for the Culver City Meat Co. driving around. They had their slogan printed on their trucks and it always made me LOL when I saw the trucks. Here's a pic:

http://smashiesmashie.blogspot.co...at-co.html

(warning, you may not want to look at this while taking a sip of any beverage...)
Heh heh heh. We have a contractor around here that does drywall and their employees wear T-shirts that proclaim that "XYZ Drywall is well hung," and another that says they have the "biggest tools."

I heart double entendres...anyone remember the "Big Johnson's" line of T-shirts from about fifteen-twenty years ago? They had some good ones.

Thanks for the smile!

I teach health in a Catholic middle school. We were studying nutrition and I had the students come up with a nutrition slogan and make a poster to hang around school. Most were very clever. One student had a slogan similar to the meat truck. OMG I can't remember it exactly, but it was something like "Beat your meat. Eat vegetables instead" OMG I took the poster down and showed it to a few other teachers. They didn't think the kid had any idea what he wrote, so I just let it go. Next time, I'm going to have to approve slogans before they finish their posters!
Suuuuuuurrreee, he didn't. Hey, I *went* to a Catholic school (middle and high school, in fact), and as I'm sure YOU know, to paraphrase Ms. Spears..."they're NOT that innocent."

Still funny, though!

I totally agree! and I'm not surprised either. The first day the coupons came out on the deals thread I used 3 at target and 1 at a local grocery store. After they wouldn't scan, and the other factors you mentioned, I felt really uncomfortable with the idea of using them at all. So I didn't.

I am just hoping that I do not get labled as a "coupon scammer" now at T when they get the memo about this.... it makes me really angry at the guy who came up with this. It's going to cause problems and potential embarassment for anyone who has used any of his "great coupons". I wonder how many people rushed to register for FB and add his application just to try to get those coupons? I know I did... Mad and I don't even really know anyone that uses FB.... laugh out loud

My favorite of these is a Tire and Alignment shop in my hometown. Their slogan is "We make 'em go straight!"

I still giggle like a little kid when I drive by it.
