Can i get this and wait until October to activate? I need it for Gears of War 4. I don't wanna use it now and waste a month of LIVE if i'm not gonna use it?

Yes, you can save it as long as you don't use the code.
Dam, where are the $30-33 deals. ? Always when my Xbox one is about to expire.. I have another month to go, so I guess I can wait a little longer....
Xbox allows you to stack multiple years of codes. next time you see a good deal buy two or three of them. Redeem them all at the same time and your LIVE will updated accordingly. I currently have LIVE paid for until July 2018.

I received the message below after buying a 12 month code for live.
Please Note: The 'stacking' of Xbox Live subscriptions is no longer allowed by Microsoft. Users will recieve an error when attempting to add more than one subscription card at a time.
I only bought one code however, so I cannot confirm this for certain. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

If this is true then Microsoft is clearly trying to buttress their pricing scheme and protect themselves so they can increase the price in the future. Those damn capitalists!
Just got xbox 360 for kids do I need to pay for Xbox live in order to play games? I have ps3 which doesn't require sub.
For Xbox 360 you won't need an Xbox Live Gold membership unless you want to play a game online.
Xbox 360 has tons of cooperative local multiplayer games (e.g., Diablo and Lego games) that are a blast for kids. I would invest in another controller (so you can play too) instead of an XBL membership.
You WILL need to create a free Xbox Live account for each player, however, and Microsoft will probably try to sell you the Gold membership repeatedly.
