Sunday my husband went riding with friends and didn't come back...until today.
yes, he crashed on hwy 215 up in NC. Got a call around 5 til 2pm on sunday saying I needed to get up to Asheville and that my husband was admitted to the ER there. Evidently he was turning a very simple turn, not even speeding, and something made the bike slip off the edge of the road and he rode into a ditch, tearing off the front of the bike and sending him flying into a rock wall next to the ditch. His head hit the wall, but thank god he had his helmet on. Don't know yet if the bike is totaled, I have to call the bike shop that his brother and dad took it to and see if they are done with the estimate or can give me a rough idea as to when it will be done.
Anyway, he has a mild concussion and keeps repeating himself, and has very bad short term memory loss. It's gotten a lot better since Sunday, but still he asks me stuff a few times before he can remember the answer to it. He also broke his 3rd finger bone behind the knuckle on his hand and has major road rash on both knees. (wearing a jacket with pads, but no pants with pads...just blue jeans)
I have pics of the bike, but I will have to figure out how in the hell to get them off my phone using this USB cord. I just tried to do it and can't get it. He had the camera on the bike with him, and it's completely ruined. the SD card inside showed that he hadn't even taken any pictures or filmed at all that day.

Thankfully he is still alive.
(and maybe this will settle him down a bit)
I hope this doesn't worsen his depression.
your hubby will be in our prayers...hopefully he gets better soon!

Be careful of that hospital please
I forgot to mention he was airlifted off of the mountain in "MAMA" ...the hospital's helicopter. He thought that was neat. I have pics of that too from his friends he was riding with...just the copter though, not him inside.

he was at Mission up there. They sucked. Bad. A few nice nurses, but the doctors were pure shitheads.
Glad he is still with us
It really sucks because all they told me was that he was in the ER. Not if he was dead, alive, how bad he was, etc. NOTHING. Imagine being 100 miles away and not knowing anything.
