A Hoover Floormate is awesome. No matter what, you will always have some surface that needs to be mopped. Cheaper route...get a scrub brush, a bucket of cleaner (try a degreaser) and do it on your hands and knees...then mop up the excess.

My stomach is starting to twist up thinking about my parents coming here next week. Annoyed This is not going to be a fun visit. There is an assisted living place we're going to visit that has an opening - if my grandparents afford it they'll move there. It's terrible to admit, but I'm not entirely sure how I like that. It'll be nice to have them nearby but that makes me the one in charge of everything... you know - because I don't work.

I can totally understand that. Now when you have a day to yourself with nothing to do, instead of just relaxing you'll feel obligated to go visit. I know you love them but sometimes you just need some time for yourself.
